That's the actual soundtrack from the show's opening credits, isn't it? I haven't seen it in so long that I'm not positive, but I think it is. Oh, the memories! Which aren't very plentiful, though.. all I remember is that the show had some live-action Mario and Luigi at the start and end, and then cartoons of the Mario Bros or Link's adventures. What a show.

Oh yeah, it's Plok. I knew I'd seen it before, but I couldn't place it. [edit] I can't spell. (edited by Jagori on 04-03-05 07:24 PM) |

I can take over. I have no idea where that tile is from, though. Next round, unless anyone objects, I'll start posting tiles. (edited by Jagori on 04-12-05 04:12 PM) |

Ok well, I'll take over for now and if Zem comes back to finish up that last question, I'll add the points to the appropriate score (since I have no idea what the right answer is). I'm leaving myself on the scoreboard in the event that I pass the game off to someone else and still want to participate. I'd have to say I'm not entirely clear on what goes on in the US as far as official proceedings go, but aren't they done in English? I'm a little uncertain about the practical differences between your current situation there and making English the official language. Sounds to me like there wouldn't be much difference... do you ever find official documents that aren't in English? I don't think having an official language can really be compared to having an official religion. First off, not everyone follows a religion, and for those who do, there's a huge range of degrees of devoutness, not to mention the fact that people of different religions (barring radical fundamentalists) can function together. Everyone "follows" a language very closely, and it must be the same language as other people for communication purposes. Having an official language doesn't "outlaw" other languages... here, the official languages are English and French, and that simply means that all government documents have to be in both English and French, and any government employee must be bilingual since people interacting with the government have the right to request service in French. That's about the extent of the practical effects. People still speak other languages all the time, and observe their own cultures freely. |

It was Double Dragon 2. I find fencing pretty interesting, I just know dick-all about it. I've fenced once, and I stabbed my friend in the arm pretty good. Let's see.. uninteresting interests I have... codebreaking, cracking, reversing, etc. All done legally, of course, at sites like www.bright-shadows.net and the like. I have yet to find someone else who's really interested in that kind of stuff. I'm not amazing at it or anything, but I find it fun anyway. [edit] Oh yeah, cooking! Forgot about that. I like to cook. Locksmithing is an interest of mine too, but I don't really have the facilities to actually do any of that. (edited by Jagori on 04-17-05 07:08 PM) (edited by Jagori on 04-18-05 01:32 PM) |

Funny, Apophis.. after I posted it I looked at it and thought "hey, that looks like Earthworm Jim. I bet someone will guess that." RT-55J, you're right on all your observations. It's a platformer, not made by Nintendo. Well, I suppose it depends on how you define "sci-fi"... it could be called that, but it wouldn't be my first choice of description. Still 2 points. |

What you're seeing there isn't a foot, it's a flower stem. This game was released by Interplay, about the same time as another game by the same company. Both of these games had a common theme, although they weren't the same type of game at all; the other game was a fair bit more popular than this one, if I'm not mistaken, and went on to form a short series of games. Uh.. I'll leave it at 2 points for now. (edited by Jagori on 04-24-05 02:28 PM) |

Nope. The game that tile is from is ONLY on SNES, but the other game I mentioned spanned 3 systems.

In the 2005 version, her left calf is pretty thick, and her right leg doesn't have much visible shape to it. I'm no expert, but it looks to me like her foot is facing directly sideways or at least close to it, in which case I think you'd be able to see the curve of the front of her thigh as well as her knee sticking out a bit. Shoulders and arms definitely better in '05 version, but her elbow might be a little bit too far down her left arm, at least on the bottom side. Those two things are about the only critiques I have at the moment. Looks very nice! |
