LOL ya I know Freewebs sucks and noone likes it I don't really even like it but I don't feel like looking for a new place to upload pictures. Although I have heard photo or picture bucket is good.

I loved the ExGFX work shop when...........I could actually get into it! There are so many Pictures on that page now that my computer (which is incredibly horrible) will not load it. If the creator of the ExGFX workshop would mind splitting up the ExGFX and putting it on two pages instead of one that would be great. I just can't get onto the page to get any new ExGFX. Thanks

And I have a request: I would like a mushroom tileset. Something with red mushrooms and brown or grayish rock platforms (ledges) just like the "wide scale ground" in SMW. That would be great, and blocks that look like the 1-up, mushroom, posionous mushroom, yellow mushroom etc acting as brown blocks, cement blocks and possibly turn blocks but only if it looks good.

I think this would be a great tileset. thanks.

I think hacks that are hard are better than any other choice. I think that very hard to find secrets are great but not impossible if you think about it. Like don't make a solid wall with a one tile high 'walk thru' block that only mario can enter but he has to have a cape to get over a huge gap infected with fire spitting pirana plants. Thats too hard (actually impossible). There should however be some levels that are near impossible later on in the game.

I was browsing around the internet and came across a site and it had:

ASM Hacks
Palette-Controlled ASM System v1.1
Author: BMF54123
Allows individual ASM hacks to be activated or deactivated via a level's palette.


EDIT: Sorry I didn't think it was available to download from the site I was on, Some MOD CAN CLOSE THIS NOW, sorry. (please wait untill BMF or someone answers this post MOD's)

Could some one upload a save state that is at least past castle 4 or 5? The castle that is mechanical is impossible, a save state that is at least in the forest would be great.

Does anyone have links to threads/files or something that has those addresses like $23718 or whatever. I have found a palette editor that will let me put in one of these address at it will let me edit the palette of that address. I need to get mega mole's address but any would be great thanks.

I have done it once already but I need to get the secret exit, anyway can someone give me one anyway? PLEASE!!! I just want to see that level in the screen shot above, OR try and get that BG into my game. I have it in a YY-CHR file but don't know how to insert it into my game.

I was browsing through LM in a hex editor and came across some funny, and interesting stuff. Fu is pretty funny . Anyway, here is some of the stuff I found:

First off the new code I think I may have found:

(code is in " " without the " ")

"poisson" comes with this: I am Naaall, and I love Fiiish!

Another code:

I don't know what too type in but it goes along with the chibi moon and chelsea code:

I think you type in "Wark! Wark! Wark!" comes with this: Wark is *really* cute!

Some things to ask Fu:

What is...

1. ...A yellow octngonal block...blah blah...shows how many coins are left in the level.

2. Internal screen jump code.

3. Leeloo-Club?

4. MegaHAL

5. Grandient Enable - (it is a adress $8D8B1)

6. Scan and remove overlapping RATs?

7. This is funny: I don't think so Tim, This feature is not supported for the GBA version.

If Fu could answer these that would be cool.

BTW why do you have a whole area of German?

I figured that the wark x3 thing was wrong. BTW I looked in the LM code doc BEFORE posting this stuff and none of this was in it. I looked in the one made by you KirbyATW. Is there a newer updated one?

When ever I see the Chibi Moon code I always see ...it is an almostirriversible form of protection... Wouldn't that mean that there is a way to reverse it? Oh and by the way would a different SMW editor (if there is one) be able to get around the code? Just a thought of how you might be able to get back into your hack.

Ya Aioria that is what I have actually been doing, however I can only use a maximum of 4 or 6 (can't remember) colours. I see lots in the bottom cornor but when I click on them it changes all the colours automatically.

I have been trying to find it using a palette editor but no luck. I have found how to edit the rex colours (by accident and I would be able to tell or remember how because I didn't write anything down), change the intro to a white revealing screen circle instead of black, and I think I may have changed the boarder around the game because when I reloaded it was black.

But becasue I found the rex colour I would think that most of the spirit colours would be around that area. Wish I had wrote it down.

EDIT: And back to my OW Palette, I now know I am not supposed to use 0-3 but I was using four (is there a zero if not ignore this) and it was still messed up. So now my black and white island is green like normal ground.

Might as well get this question out of the way, If I expand my ROM will I be able to add more GFX?

Is it possible to mix and match ExGFX? I am wanting to use 2 of KirbyATW's ExGFX in my hack (the pyramid ones) but I don't want to use two different pages for such small amounts of ExGFX. In LM I can insert up to FF or FFF ExGFX (one of the 2) but I can only put about 20 of those into my levels. Some help as to how to access all of those pages would be great.

Would you happen to know what to edit in hex to change the number of hits?

I was on this board yesterday and a post had mention of a program that allowed the hacker to change the number of starting lives to 3 instead of 5. I didn't want to make a new topic about this considering this one sort of had to do with this.

Which of these two intro boarders do you think I should keep?:


This was my original boarder but I didn't like it alot. It was okay at the time but its not that great any more.

This one I made last night. I think it looks better but what do you think?

I want to make one like atma's but thats just way to complex.
So what do you guys think? 1 or 2? I can always change the colours.

Excellent suggestions everyone. Thank you. And all of your insults (for lack of a better word) on the first one made me laugh, I really didn't like it either. I originally had the curtains as brown with tinges (is that even a word?) of green to go with the level, but it didn't go over to well. The wave idea's is good I will go do that now. I think I will make it a redish brown and use your method Atma. I will change the mushroom for sure. Thanks every one.

Ya the mushroom is from Yoshi's island but I don't remeber it either. The curtins are not from duck tales but from a ROM that pretty much all of you probably have, SMAS. I changed the curtins to a red colour, it looks good, but I can't seem to change the mushroom's colours. I can only use 1 palette for the mushroom without changing OW colours (for some reason it does) or changing the curtin's colours. Also 2-3 palettes dont work no matter what I do to them. So the mushrooms are a light green and a second mushroom I added is a light blue. I think it looks good, but I just came up with an idea that I will go try out now!
