Well, with the a + b exit GG code, the secret exit leads you to that house. Then to some ? ! ! islands down in the bottom right cornor of the map. They are just bonus levels (not normally accessable without the GG code). And the ghost house is the same as one of the ghost houses in SMW. Nothing changed.

And BMF, please dont keep those ? ! ! islands in the FINAL release, they look really tacky Im sure they are just level place holder islands but just incase, dont keep them.

I know this isn't the topic for OoT, but you can actually see the real triforce in the game (with use of the moonjump GS code). Go to Zelda's courtyard as a kid, and while facing zelda, moonjump the wall to the left. Make sure you stay hovering, now slowly go under the courtyard ground. You will see the triforce, full, 3D spinning there. You can't obtain it or anything, but it is there!!

Back on topic:

I remember a luigi rumor about him being in the lava world as well. I dont think it was about a lava fall but I do remember hearing about him being in the game. What you had to do was go thru all the rings in the skycap level. He would then appear ontop of the castle and you could play as him. Obviously false, but still rumors are fun to hear!

Wasn't there a BS expansion system that hooked up to it? (or maby that was for snes?) Anyway, it received satillite signals that beemed games to the thing. You had to pay for it, and I think it was only japanese. The more I talk about it the more I think it was for snes, but I could be wrong

Wow! Your Cheep-Cheep (M&L) is amazing! The purple and yellow really do good to complement each other! Good job once again. I had to go back a re-look at all the shots. I noticed my brightness wasn't all the way up when you mentioned the BG in Piranha Plant (YS) and all I saw was black. That BG does look pretty good!

First off, the poll part is for the screenshots. Which border should I use, or not this one at all? Here are the shots:

The Black box with the X is mario, he is currently a secret. I hand drew him....

Now for the questions:

1. How do I stall the Intro message box message from poping up so quickly? Mario comes out of a pipe and he doesn't even have a change to land on the ground before the box pops up. I need to stall it for maby 3 seconds.

2. Is it possible, with out a huge amount of editing, to make the message boxes scroll like the ones in YI?

3. I am trying to make a sprite with HH's sprite editor that acts exactly (and looks exactly) like a red shellless koopa, but hurts mario when he is jumped on. I have tried quite a few combonations, but none work. I also need the sprite to stay on legdes and not fall off.

4. How do you make the SMB2 vine climbing lady bugs? I saw them in a hack a while ago (I want to say it was Aioria's hack, but I can't be sure) and I wanted to have them in my hack as well.

5. I need a patch or fix so that all the rows of palette from 8 and below DONT fade out when its a dark BG level.

6. I also need a patch or fix so that only palette row 8 (mario), and the last 8 colours in row 0 and 1 (layer 3 status bar) DONT fade out upon level exit (question sphere and goal post).

Thats all that I can think of right now. Any help for any of these would be great. Thanks and dont forget to vote on the pictures!

The easiest way would be to use some tricky subscreen manipuation. IIRC, the box won't appear until that subscreen is shown. (If not that, then make it a vertical level. )

That may actually work. I will try that and see what happens. Everyone will see why I need it stalled when I release a demo in the future

And I know the bug wasn't a custom block because the level had a BG. Kyouji's post about the vertical climbing koopas + ExGFX, was probably what they used. Guess I will have to go with that

And HH, mario isn't an X in the game, I pasted that over him because he is not completly done yet and his palette is screwed. Did want people saying, fix mario, hes ugly etc.

Comments on the pictures:

1. Wow, its Davy Crockett Mario...
2. OMG! His tail broke off...lol
3. This actually looks pretty good. The boots half in the ground, thats the only problem I see.
4. The Blocks leave gaps at the edge of the water. the blocks have a bad palette, and the bridge doesn't fit with the level.
5. Red platforms the only problem I see
6. The leaf looks weird, and I figure those different coloured blocks are the jumping blocks from smb3?
7. If this is supposed to be underwater, why is the water flag not on?
8. The chain chomp looks good, the blocks look dull tho. Probably just the compression.
9. See #7
10. Looks good, needs the water flag tho.
11-16. doesn't work.

You need to fix a few palettes, but other than that well...maby some better pictures would be good.

I got thread 5000, and at about 9800 threads I started to wait for this one. But I would have posted this same kind of thing that you did KATW, but I would have posted in craziness.

I am pretty sure that BMF uses it in his hack in the "village of the moon" level. The rain is set to layer 2, and it doesn't stretch the entire level. Its only like 2-3 screens of rain, and they are palette animated (?). Its interesting the way he did it, quite talented when it comes to this things.

And HH, question about your sprite editor: Why do edited generators freeze the game? Even if I paste the exact code (no changes) over to another sprite, it will freeze the game. Can this be fixed? A screen scrolling sprite that scrolls to the left instead of right would be nice.

umm, no? I dont think that would be possible without making a completly new game. N64 editing is quite hard (at least thats what I've heard), and making it as an edit for smb1-3 would be pretty much impossible.

2D ssb would be interesting to see if it used more than 16 colours tho. Maby something like 24 bit instead of 8 would be cool. Of corse that would need to be coded in java (or c++ etc.)

I had the rabbit ears in my hack for a little while. I didn't extract them from the GB game, I did it from the GBA game (that way its in 16 colours). However, I didn't keep it because of the way the cape works in SMW, it looked stupid. They were also kinda crunched up because of the height of mario. So get the GBA version and extract the graphics. Then replace them over the SMW graphics where they fit in. Good luck with this..

Is layer 3 editable without a load of asm? The only problem I could think of would be status bar interaction, Seeing as the status bar is on layer 3. Would it even be possible to use layer 4 for the status bar?

Mainly all I need is rain on layer 3 or 4, and have it not interupt the status bar. Any help with this (or if some one could make an editor....*cough*smallhacker*cough*) that would be great. Thanks

Mainly its only been Kyouji Craw who does the short form of my name: Kei. I guess its to hard to add the extra 6 letters, konium, to the end At least I make an effort to spell his name... I had to keep it in my post radar for a while so I could learn to spell it (at the time it had that Kagami thing in the middle of the name).

And Dcahrakos's name is the only one I copy and paste if I feel like doing all the symbols
