This is sweet. Is there an editor that will edit NES megaman 1-6 all in one editor. I have checked zophars but only 1-2, 3, 3-5, and 6. All are dos except the one that edits only 3. So what is this mega man full level editor?

Thats true, I was just telling him that he should use YY-chr (or TLP) when editing graphics because you can save them, whereas in the 8x8 editor in LM, you can't when editing sprites. Happy Xkeeper?

If this was directed at me, I DO rip my own graphics, I WAS going to submit to the workshop before my ExGFX was messed up (my red planet one. its on a floppy disk somewhere), and I AM going to submit a BG when it gets finished. I wasn't going to mention the BG because I was going to give a preview of the finished project and ask for tips for improvements. Then I was going to submit it.

Okay I am going to submit a new tileset that I just created last night! If enough people like it, I will get the package ready and send it to...coby? I think. Anyway, here are the screenshots:



If you need more, just say and I will get some. If at least a few people like this then I will submit it. I will include a palette, because this one is alot better than my previous baby blue and yellow one!

EDIT: BTW those pipes are on layer 2. I need a way to make them dark without changing the pipe color on FG3. I will also make custom pipes and blocks.

It looks fine with 256 color and pixely with 16 color. However in LM is looks terrible. Thats why I am going to use BG1, FG1, FG2 for this BG. The only problem I have, is I don't know how I could possibly do this! I could use 2 (BG1, and FG1 for example) but I don't know how I could use 3. Anyone know? Thnaks.

I remember back in my kindergarten to grade 5 years we would take a celery stick, set it in a cup of blue food dye, wait for like 24 hours and the leaves would be blue. It was cool at the time, but now...not so much. Anyway the coolest natural roses are black roses.

BTW, those blue roses look purple to me but thats probably because mixing blue and white would give a light blue/purpleish color. I think the coolest thing you could do to a rose is make it a mixed spoted color. Like blue and black. I don't know if it would be possible tho.

Oh and I understand What you are trying to do and even if it was possible, you can't make sprites act like something so it would be just like having blocks look like a wiggler. They wouldn't move.

Okay, I had a back up of my hack, and an original. I inserted some ExGFX, everything was fine. To see my exgfx in my level I need to go to a different level, and then back again; I did. EVERYTHING WAS SCREWED UP!!! The BG, the FG, all my Map16 pages. They were filled with garbage!!!

So I went to my backup. I am 100% sure that it was NOT a shortcut to my original. Anyway, I opened it up all the regular levels were fine, but all the levels with ExGFX in them were messed up. Pages 3-F were screwed up and 0-2 were fine.

I have got rid of all the garbage but now I need to spend hours upon hours transfering 8x8 tiles to 16x16. Is there a quick way to do this without looking at the little number in the cornor, typing it in, looking at the little number in the cornor, typing it in etc.

Even doing that, I have no idea what page each ExGFX set was on, so I have to redo ALL my ExGFX levels again. That would be about 30!

So some help would be great. Thanks

Ya, just imagine a translucent, carniviourous rose. That would just creep me out. I personally would like to have food, like apples, oranges etc, taste and look like other foods. Imagine a piece of brocolli (sp?) that looks and tastes like chocolate!! I like brocolli, but for all those kids who don't, this would be a great idea!!

I would want any of your guys computers!!! My computer has 3 gigs, 128mb ram, 128 (or something like that) mhz, its from 1996, windows 98 (the only good thing about it), it was custom built with the oldest parts, and it makes the loudest humming noise.

I will be getting a new computer soon tho from MDG, its canadian. It will only cost about $1000 canadian and it has 80gigs, 3.0ghz, its black, windows XP, made in 2003, and 512mb of ram.

Thats good enough for what I need

Have any of you ever been to canada? In ontario (not goig to say where beacsue I live here) There is a place called Pam's Flower Garden. My mom and gran used to work there and they had a special rose every year that was treated for a few yesr (the seeds, not the rose it self). And after about 3 years the rose produced a browish color to it. It wasn't the nicest thing in the world but it was pretty cool. Now they have them all year round. I guess they were dyed at the beggining but after like 6 years or so the rose produced brown rose seeds. I guess the color replaced the original white in the DNA of the rose.

Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F1+N+O+Insert ring a bell?

Thats all I need. Somethin that will transfer the tiles, Not in any order, just all the tiles. I would set the properties. I guess I will have to do it by hand.

What you said sort of sounded like sarcasim...

I think it would be great to have something like LM, and have an add ExGFX option to it. And for sure have an AllGFX.bin so we can edit the main graphics in YY-chr or another tile program.

Don't know if its possible but if you could have an option that will save an entire level to file as .mwl. That way we could import that level into LM, then use the ExGFX option to add the graphics. Then the level will be directly inserted into SMW Doubt its possible tho because of the layers and size of the levels.

I just thought of something:

It would be great to include a level tester. So like say you were working on level 3-1, instead of loading up the rom in zsnes or snes9x, you could go to File and then to the option Test Level. This would open a built in (or maby external) emu and it would play that level, on to the end of the game. It would be better then playing thru the game, and getting to the level you just edited.

Just a thought.

EDIT: And make sure you have some hidden things too. But not like the m16-7k thing LM has.

Sweet, this will be awesome when it gets done!

Will there be an overworld editor too? Like the scroll (I think) that the yoshi's walk on to go to the next yoshi/level? So you can edit the yoshi's path? Not up and down, just left to right because I don't think there are graphics for up and down.

**Thinks of how many SMW level remakes there will be in YI once this gets done...ughh**

BTW, in LM Fu has an option to play your game in an emu, but what Im talking about is the current level your editing.

EDIT: Just thought of something new again. There is a level called Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy. When you touch one of these things the screen gets all screwed up, its kinda cool. Well, have you figured out if this is level specific or if it will happen in any stage there is a fuzzy. In the game it happens in a grass level, but what if you used the fuzzy in say a castle level? Would it glitch because its moving the ground that shouldn't be moved like that? Just wondering, and wanted to know if your that far yet.

This has nothing to do with the topic but: What about the speed of darkness? I don't think thats light therefore lights to slow to even reach darkness...

And what about the speed of dust? I read a theory about that somewhere.

Ontopic:

I think that this would be possible. If you look at the dexdrive (name?) for the N64, it can hook up to the computer and d/l saves to be transfered onto memory cards. And the game shrak can have a port that will d/l codes. So if there was a cord (like a flattened printer type cord) that was small enough to fit in the back of a GBA (where the game goes in) and then a cord to hook up to your computer, you could have the game running in an emu while it gets d/l to your GBA then to the gamecube.
