So thats what that menu is for. Its way to confusing for me anyway. But even if I did understand it, I couldn't use it for this picture. My picture is 512x448. Is there another util that I could use? I can always split this up among the BG1 and FG1 because its not going to be for public use.

DHTML stands for Dinamic Hyper Text Markup Language and I need to know if Acmlm Board accepts it. I really hope so, I just don't want my profile to be deleted if I have it in there. Thanks

I really don't feel like doing every tile my self, because that would take a very long time. I downlaoded a program from zophars domain called gif(pcx)2snes but I can't sem to get it to work. When I use a gif file, it says its not a gif file (I tried the extension .gif and .GIF but no luck) and when I use a pcx file it says its not a 16bit VGA pcx file (I don't know how to make it VGA but it is 16bit). I prefer gif because it also allows 256bit pictures, which is what the original picture is in. I have heard of a program called pic2snes, but can't find it any where. I was sure it was a zophars, but its not. Some more help would be great. Thanks

I have PSP8, Photoshop 7.0, Irfanview, Jasc Animation shop, and Paint. I can do MANY things with my picture. I guess I could cut it in half and go from there. Irfanview is awesome for converting. I go with what you said, I guess and use that m16-7k thing. I just need to wait for that guide on how to do it

If you see in my post header I have 2 faces coming at a smily face in the middle. I wanted to use dhtml to make that middle face turn into the 'dead' face (I have the code to do it). Then I wanted the smiles that hit him in the middle to face the oppisite direction and go back. (I can make them go back, but not change the face without dhtml). If you, or anyone else, knows away to do this that would be great. Thanks

Ya I know that eventually they will be going different speeds, but because mine is the same length, they will always (hopefully) hit the middle at the same time. Now I just need to find out an html code to change the pic at a set delay time.

This was happening to me about a week ago. What I did to fix it was go to a level I haden't modified (in your case it would be a castle) and copy exactly all the BG stats (slow, none, constant etc), the sprite bouyancy, the stuff when you click the mario head. All that stuff. Then I went from there. I eventually found out it was because of the BG scroll rate.

pcx is Zsoft paintbrush, but gif files should work. IMO, they are better because with pcx files, I think you can only have 16 bit. I use a program called pic2snes and there are two different file formats, gif and pcx. With the gif you can have 16 and 256 bit, but with pcx you can only have a 16 bit VGA color. I have no idea what the VGA part is, thats why I use gif. Thanks for the guide!!!!

That looks really cool. Its ALOT better than the smb3 discombobulator! I will probably d/l this when its avaliable. does it edit the map screens and can it make them as big as the desert screen? Its nice tho.

Edit: BTW whats the lost levels thing for?

yes I found that out yesterday when I posted my thred on dhtml a few threds below this. Someone who posted in it said that they may beable to find an html code that can do it but if not I am stuck with what I got

Well handish, I checked out your hack, its got alot of graphical glitches. Some of the levels have some cool layouts and you REALLY need to change the OW. I played up to Tiptop Testing and everything worked out fine. No major gameplay problems, lots of graphic glitches, but nothing that would stop anyone from completeing a level. I am almost at castle 3 (is it 3 or 4 that messes up?). I will edit this post when I reach that level and let you know if it messes up. If it does, I will try and fix it, then re-send it to you with it fixed up.

That guide is very good. The only problem I am having is that I don't have PSP. I had a demo but not anymore. So if someone wouldn't mind converting this picture to the second pcx version that would be great. My pic2snes always says that the file is not a 16bit VGA pcx file. It IS a pcx file but not the right type I guess. I used irfanview to convert it from a gif. That reminds me, can't pic2snes also handle gif files? A gif file is what I really need to use, but the gif exe that comes with it always says my pic is not a gif. So here is the picture:

Oh, I would also need a semi-transparent table to go over top of this, so if anyone knows the html code to do so that would be great.

okay now I have my profule with a tiled BG, I still need to work out some bugs with the transparent BG tho. We are aloud css right?

Not to be mean here, just think of it as helpful hints, but almost every level before castle 2 (the one on the island) have graphic glitches in it. Mainly its just sprites that you included that aren't meant for the set you chose. Like in the second level (the one to the right of yoshi's place) there are spinies that are gray. When you don't jump on them they look fine but when you jump on them they get messed up and disfigured. Then in yoshi's castle, some blocks (the ones that the sparkies go around) are cut off and flat on the bottom. If you want I could fix up a bunch of stuff for you.

BTW, did you do that intro video? Its pretty good.

Thats another thing: in the intro video, when you press start to access the player 1, player 2, erase game, screen one of the stars turns into the letter T. Its just a bunch of glithes. There is one I took a pic of because its actually pretty cool. In one of the ghost ships that you have, the ghosts turn into the Sonic bouncing balls that are found in the bonus levels!!!!! Its pretty cool, because they look VERY 3d!!!

I am in the process of editing my layout and the text is transparent and the table BG is supposed to be transparent so they clash, sorry.

I agree that the nasties look bad, but its his hack, so I can't really complain about it. Well, I can but im not going too . Anyway, the video is good, and I will post about that castle glitch when I get to the castle. So far the hack has been okay, not the BEST hack I have seen, but good for some one who is new at it.



This is really off topic but how do I do blank HTML tages?

GB boy if you are trying to make your post BG all gray without using the 1 pixel that you use currently then insert this code in your post header (it will work if its a table):

Remove the ** here: <**body bgcolor="#000015" text="#000020">

EDIT: BTW I have no idea what you mean by adding a table boarder without HTML. You can't do that as far as I know.

How do you do the blank tags? The ones that make it so I can see the body bgcolor thing you typed?
