I am in the process of editing my profile and want to create two different marquees on the same line. One going left and one going right, meeting in the middle and then bouncing back. I can get them to do all of this stuff, except appear on the same line. Could some one help me with this problem? Thanks.

And BTW, how do I make the text you are reading now appear in a table? (where do I put the HTML code when in my profile?)

I know nothing about Marquees, myself.

As for your second question, you'd put the opening tags at the very end of your post header, and the closing tags at the very start of your signature.

two different marques? the closest you will get is a java or flash item. i would have suggested javascript but that is not allowed on this board.

Why do I see some people always replying with useless answers as in using a whole other language for something simple?

It's simple, all you have to do is make a table.

:: Going to the right :: :: Going to the left ::

Of course, you can edit the marquee tags so they will bounce, scroll faster, etcetera.

Marquee tags are the work of Satan. Along with the blink tag. I'm still disgusted with the Mozilla developers for adding support for it.

Sweet!! Thanks Modereb! I never even thought to do this. Thats great!!

Edit: Okay now that this works, I need an HTML code (or maby DHTML) that will set up one picture, then have a dely of lets say 20 seconds and change to another image. I know one exists, but I can't seem to find the website that has it.

Problem with that is, it is odd looking...at some point, they are both going to be out of sync...which i think looks worse than have seperate marquees on different lines...

Ya I know that eventually they will be going different speeds, but because mine is the same length, they will always (hopefully) hit the middle at the same time. Now I just need to find out an html code to change the pic at a set delay time.

That wouldn't be HTML, it would be JavaScript. Plus, JS is killed on this board.

I personally think you should get rid of your header. It looks like shit.

Jesus christ guys leave his header alone. If he wants bouncy stuff let him have it.

As far as your questions, try google. Seriously, looking for things like "HTML transparent tables" or "Marquee two on same line HTML" or whatever works pretty to well to find anwsers to your questions. It's usually faster than waiting for a reply, and you don't have to deal with stupid comments from assholes. Also, you'll have complete control over it, you'll know it and be able to use it later, and while searching you might get cool, new ideas!

To quote someone:

I want to see a post layout, not an [insert annoying object here]

same with that. Everything's in the fucking header. The post information could have EASILY gone into the sig, and the marquees... argh. No. BAD.

It's ranked near using a giant BMP as your layout.
Almost as bad.

Almost.

haha... word @ that.

I liked some of the post layouts... but since 95% of them were utter crap... I turned them off. Haven't been happier since.
