Why are people angry about the existence of reduced-carb products? I could understand if "regular" versions of the products were being pulled from the market to make room for them, which would be extremely annoying to consumers who preferred them, but as it stands, it's just another choice that you don't have to buy if you don't want to. Although about 40-50% of my daily caloric intake comes from carbs, I like to pick up low-carb products on occasion. I recently wanted to buy some protein bars at the grocery store to keep around as a quick breakfast or snack. The bars with the best protein-to-calorie ratio (and a total caloric content of under 300) were made by Keto and Atkins. Atkins breakfast bars also taste like dessert but have next to no sugar and over 10 grams of protein, so they're a nice alternative if I'm ever going nuts for a pastry. Thanks to Keto chips, which taste enough like normal corn chips for me, I can make a nacho plate that actually counts as a healthy meal.

Also, don't forget that diabetics and other folks must reduce their simple carbohydrate intake for medical reasons, so the new products allow them to enjoy a wider variety of foods.
