I can't believe this. Wasn't there no nudity in the scene? Looks like the game has already went way up in value too (check ebay). Far less copies were made of the PC & Xbox ones, I'm sure. 1 month on the market for them as opposed to 7 on PS2. I have it on PS2, but not the right system's Action Replay... Good thing I bought this game before the controversy. Old enough or not, I have no ID. Which might make buying AO games impossible.

I found 2 in Super Mario Sunshine. One let me wander around in the nothingness under Pianta Village. No clue why that happened. At least I was able to take a screenshot. I'm not certain it happened, but I think another one involved jumping around that one level's water wheel. In just the right place, you'd sometimes fall through the earth and die.

Posted on 07-24-05 04:18 AM, in Remote control programming Link
For all the odd things. I got a DVD player for $5.99. The clerk didn't notice a $1.99 sticker on the universal remote, so that was free. When I plug in a power cable and open the tray, a movie called "enemy at the gates" was inside. It was free also (just like Madden 2004 had been left in my PS2). None of my remotes worked, so I just hit play. It turned out to be a rather interesting WWII film. I'll probably go back and watch the rest sometime. Those guys in the beginning were like perfect sharpshooters or whatever it's called. What accuracy!

Enough on that. The DVD player is a Toshiba SD-1700, and the remote is RCA D770. I need to know if that remote can be programmed to work with the player. If so, give some instructions. For reference, here's links to the manuals.

http://tacpservice.toshiba.com/ConsumerProductSupport/Manuals/DVD/sd1700.pdf
http://download.ethomson.com/english/RCA/ACCESSORIES/IB/D770.pdf

Aside from what appears to be a noisy motor during playback, it was the cheapest DVD player I've ever seen. Great video and sound quality. With a free remote (it even had good batteries inside!), and movie, I did well. By the way, it happens to be that this remote will control the RCA DVD player I've had for years. Not that it matters, it's included remote still works fine.

I've been having that same problem in Mega Man for what seems like years now. Looks like an emulator called Ages will save properly in it. I had to beat a boss while typing this post to find out. Never had trouble getting Sonic or any other game to save in Gens though. Try more emulators, it can often help.

How'd you change Mario's color? It fits Luigi perfectly! Why is the HP messed up?
By the way, that lower half of Mario is from those enemies you're attacking.

As you know, I was kinda begging for the gfx from a few games. Well, I figured out how to do that with savestates. BUT... Is there any way to obtain the correct palette for said gfx? TLP won't load that part from the ZST files. It just turns everything black or purple. Help!

I know Meka and Visual Boy Advance both have palette viewers. Wonder why nobody thought of it for SNES? I'll keep looking for info, it might benefit much of the hacking community.

If there happens to be any, I'd like to have some. Altough being able to read the game's text would be nicer (which usually requires a purchase of Animal Crossing), I'm not doing that. If no codes exist, let me know.

Coming soon: Why I won't buy GCN games anymore. A risque version will be posted elsewhere as to not disrupt this board.

As I've said many times, my cartridge has the infamous save-deleting glitch (is there information on that?). My first thought was "go download the ROM". Big mistake. It did the same thing. Is there by chance a patch? I'll try the Europe version. I think one was censored, but oh well. I'd rather not lose hours of time creating wrestlers which lead nowhere. Any help would be appriciated. I've dealt with this game's problem for nearly 5 years now!

Alright, I'll try posting this here instead. Is there a way to either:
A: Enable back to work via a single mouse click
B: Have a back key on the left side of a my keyboard instead of the right

Moving all the way over to <-BACKSPACE tires out my hand. Also, right clicking to go back only works on blank areas of a page. Please? I'd rather not get those wrist injuries that happen due to bad posture on keyboards.

What I often do is point the midway entrance to somewhere safe in the original level, and have a wall surrounding it to discourage backtracking. You can then link a door to your sub-level. It works great, just excuse my quick attempt of ASCII art. My strategy looks something like this.
______

Yeah, I know what you're thinking "Another lame N64 question from theclaw". Forget it. It's just that I've found a ROM site which shines of excellence, and I'm discovering and/or rediscovering all sorts of N64 hit games. I only got to play about 60 carts, so there's a lot to find! How about looking at this for a change?

Wierd. The emulator's database doesn't report any known issues with this title. Then again, they haven't noticed the "flipped numbers" in all of AKI's wrestling games either. One place those happen in the Royal Rumble mode whan choosing how many people will fight. Like where it goes from 4-40. Every other number will be upside down. I'd make a good bug tester! If somebody needs it at least. I've already helped solve something in Lunar Magic, as the program still says. Anyone have an open position?

Sure looks that way. Does the same thing in NEMU. I'll update this post after seeing what another copy of the ROM will do.

I don't often use the keyboard for emulators. Though, this works well on NES games:

A=turbo A
S=turbo B
Z=A
X=B
Space(or shift)=select
Enter=start
Up=up
Down=down
Right=right
Left=left

A few years ago, I moved up from a digital 10-button gamepad to the PSone dualshock. Even with dual analog, I've still yet to find a perfect setup for Goldeneye or other such titles. Another bad part is that my current pad isn't supported by Tetris Worlds PC like the old one.

Posted on 08-08-05 07:08 PM, in Why do you stay away from religion? Link
It's awful for people like me. Knowing that probably 2/3 of your family, and who knows how many of my best friends' relatives follow religion in some way. It's fairly simple. I'll never allow myself to read their propaganda. Bibles, Qurans, whatever. It's mass-brainwashing in my opinion. Sure some of the historical facts are true (like Eygpt is a real region of the earth), and the "prophets" were typical humans. But, angels, god(s), parting of an ocean, and such things are nonsense. I try to stay quiet about this in public though. Once these ideas are stuck in a person, they tend to in it forever. Explaining anything only seems to make them more defensive. The wikipedia entry on "problem of evil" sums up a lot of why I've denouced any and all religious practices. Church isn't too bad when they're just talking about astromony, which has complete scientific evidence. But, the moment "god" enters the subject I get POed. For all I care those preachers and ministers can go to what they call "hell". Which again doesn't exist according to me. I also denounce swearing alligence to nations, tobacco use, and other things which can permanently affect people's minds. What I'd call an afterlife is only how you are remembered by fellow humans. It's peer-to-peer, no deity involved. Being univerally loved or hated is impossible. Someone will always agree or disagree with one of your ideas no matter what it may be like. It goes: As long as religion of any form occurs on earth, there will be no peace. That still does not guarantee it though. Other issues like oil, food, and natural resources may be in dispute as well. In fact, I think devoting a vast majority of your life to any cause is a religion. This is why I do not believe in marriage. I also won't assign labels to myself. While many "god believers" would call me an atheist after hearing my beliefs, that's a religious form too. My bottom line is that I follow nothing. Asking others to worship me even violates these principals. Thank you, and good bye.

Is there some way to do this? It's output isn't pixel perfect like the original NES. I've got a MK-1632 RF box, and MONO composite cable to work with. I also have a spare Genesis unit for practice if soldering or whatever is needed. It'd be nice to make some kind of stereo cable while I'm at it.

Everyone knows how much the system cost when it came out, but is there a site which lists that for games? Somebody had to have kept track of such info. Even if it's not NES, go ahead and link me to price databases for any other classic systems you know of. This will be greatly appriciated since I couldn't find anything with a Yahoo! search.

Thanks. I kinda thought people here were shunning me. I do remember paying $60 or so for WWF No Mercy (the glitchy version too!), Zelda Majora's Mask, Pokemon Stadium 2, and several others. Man, I'm not that loaded with money anymore. Wasn't certain on the older ones because I didn't own any game console until about 1991. Pretty sure it was a used NES. The Half-Life 2 box set had been full price. With everything needed to get the full experience, I'd say Animal Crossing cost me most than any other game. $50 for it, $40 for E-Reader, $10 GCN-GBA cable, and a card pack or two which are $4 each. I don't keep track of it, but I'm thinking the most recent $50 for me was KOTOR2 PC. I have the Steel Battalion controller, though it's useless since it didn't come with a game! At least that beast only cost $20 or so. If it just a had PC driver for the Xbox-USB adaptors...
