Well... I proved that users (perma)banned from the old board can return with no trouble at all if they don't repeat their mistakes. My SMW hack got me into the LM help file, because it helped the program's creator fix a bug. I've never been or asked to become a moderator. I probably don't have the skills (what do moderators do anyway?) for such work. I'm also one of the few people here who has never changed my primary username or tried to get a custom title, even during that whole "gender swap" scene.

I don't know if these are all anime, but why not?

Pokemon movies 1-3 and 5
Pokemon christmas vacation (is that the right name?)
Various Pokemon episode tapes and vol. 1 of Orange Islands
Sonic the Hedgehog movie
Mega Man DVD set (from the TV show)
Kirby right back at ya - vol. 1
A Digimon tape (forgot which one)

There's none on my hard drive, since I haven't been able to find anything to download.

Mine has a huge story and several variations. theclaw isn't a nickname for myself, and it's definately not related to my real name. The Claw is a character I "created" that has a very confusing history. Unlike regular claws, The Claw has no gender, internal organs, eyes, etc. This topic will turn into a biology class if I describe everything... Remember: claws have nothing in common with cats, I defend that fact very seriously (you don't want to be flamed)! I'm not sure why I still use this name, it's starting to annoy me. The name is far better than my short-lived alias of Mirrorraichu though. Please, ask me if you need to know everything about my username(s).

These facts also apply to the evil anti-claws and The Anti-Claw, so there's no reason to repeat the info.

Posted on 05-06-04 09:11 PM, in Arrgh! 500mhz is NOT fair... Link
I've tried several different ideas, but simply cannot get any system over 500mhz to boot properly. My first plan was to just use a Slot1-Socket370 adaptor to add an 800mhz CPU. The CPU did nothing at all, even in a normal socket 370 MB.

So, I thought "how about a completely new MB?". I got a Asus A7V8X-MX SE board, one 256mb memory chip, and an AMD processor. After everything went into my huge full-tower case, it has these problems:

1 - the system won't boot from CD-ROM drives (it seems to freeze up)
2 - Windows 2000 gets a "stop error" and acts like the hard drive might be damaged. That's doubtful, because I'm using the same one to type this post.

It's not the IDE port(s), Windows wouldn't even be able to reach an error prompt.

What's the best solution? I need to build a faster computer without reformatting my HDD.

Everything works, except for the fact that it won't read floppy disks.

The computer is now using a 1.1ghz Athlon XP CPU with Windows XP as it's OS. I did this to run newer games. My Windows 2000 CD is legal (only cost $2 though), but XP isn't (got from Kazaa and burned it). One of the problems I missed the first time was that both CD-ROM drives had their jumper on slave.

AMD Athlon XP 1.1ghz
256mb ram
8gb & 20gb HDs
CD-RW drive & DVD drive
17" CRT monitor - non-flat screen
Windows XP Pro
32mb system ram shared for video (my 128mb geforce fx 5200 PCI isn't installed)

This should be faster than the 3 3/4 year old P3 500mhz brick, but I'm not sure how much. The main goal here was to increase speed at a low cost without reformatting (N64 emulation also). I already own KOTOR and Halo on Xbox, don't worry about that.

Any suggestions for games? Ones that require both the keyboard and mouse to be moved at the same time are tough for me. Simple controls are a must. Tron 2.0 looks interesting though.

Being normally a console gamer (especially GCN), not many PC titles are worth playing more than once IMO. I usually end up just leaving them all over the place.

Sure. The only thing that saved my posting excellance from being gone forever was the board restart. Even though it was for multiple accounts, not spam like most banguys/girls (get it?), second chances are very reviving if the misbehavior doesn't come back when the user does. Of course, it's different if the board has a place where acting stupid, posting warez, etc. is ok. That's a feature MY board has, but it's empty of visitors in general. One really dumb user here was that brian_reeves. I'm generous on board behavior, though sometimes you have to get rid of those pests. Maybe I'll apply if a staff position ever opens. I've been here 2 or 3 years after all.

I own all of these (not counting the "other" category), except the Mario one. That was just a rental. Note that games where racing is only a mini-game or optional feature don't count (as in Super Monkey Ball). Altough I play F-Zero GX more often, my vote goes to Kirby Air Ride because of it's unique style.

I have an N64, and owned Yoshi's Story for a short time. You guys probably didn't know this, but I've never seen the ending! Those castle levels are very difficult.

Since this topic is about Angelfire, I have a suggestion for the admins:

Notify users who have the "image hosted by Angelfire" showing up instead of their post background to change it. Those posts are hard to read.

The problems with them affect me too, I'm currently stuck using none of my layout images. That's why I made an account in the first place (Geocities won't allow image linking either).

Maybe it wasn't perfect, but the standard Mario is SO overused. I don't care what else you come up with, find something I'm able to insert into a hack.

BTW: Any advice on editing SMWs ending text?

BTW2: It'd help if people actually read my post before anwsering.

Just food, no people.

Funny thing is, the local guys don't like this girl at all. That's one reason why I was able to find her so easily. Too bad we can't dress this well every day.

Is there any way to make files on my own computer downloadable via FTP or run a website directly from here?

This way, I could have items much larger than anything the free web hosts allow.
It needs to be configured well so people can't send me viruses. I'm running XP Pro as an OS and the DSL is setup to be always on.

BTW: If the idea is impossible, just delete my thread and forget about it.

Me? When I'm bored:

Search various things in Google.
Use games like Super Smash Bros Melee.
Think of what life might be like after one of my friends starts college, and then comes back (I've cried on this one before).
Download a few ROMs, even though I almost never play them.
Sing pointless songs, this is extremely rare.
Just plain think about many issues.

It's not easy to make such a list...

I don't understand these things at all. It shouldn't be so difficult to run an FTP server or warez site. I'll somehow need to make an IP address and domain name point to a location on my hard drive. Like having "theclaw.(name).com" access "E:\FTP". I might need detailed instructions.

Yeah, the staff are pretty serious right now. I've noticed that some of those non-posters were banned instantly. It's better to learn proper English and give reasons why a ban should be lifted, rather than re-registering just to flame admins for your own mistakes. Look at my grammar, it's quite accurate. I can remember getting banned in two situations:

1) Ranting on the old Pokemasters board about how the Orange Islands episodes of Pokemon weren't released to video.

2) Creating multiple and/or fake accounts here. They're still mentioned in my current profile.

My board doesn't have a rule against asking for ROMs and other files, but nobody seems to post there anyway. Any volunteers for a revival?

Eh, I don't use most of the keys on a keyboard. Scroll lock, "menu", Windows, Insert, etc. Removing them would be bad too. They do have important uses in certain programs. Scroll lock is not only tough to find, but it rarely does anything in general. I'll just stick to shift(ing) for ALL CAPS.
