I just need to show this and ask what you people think. It is going to be my little box that holds extra items.
Now to the tileset:

This is the 16x16. It is not COMPLETE, I need afew more tiles. I originally had the 'planet' round, but not all the tiles would fit, so it is a sort of an egg shape.

8x8 editor. Nothing to exciting.

This is what it looks like in LM. I think it looks pretty cool. I have a rockish FG I am going to use, It looks really good with the BG. To see the Bg really good make sure your computer is at the maximum brightness, or enough to see the white lines that follow the rocks

Let me know what you think, and if I should upload it to the workshop

NICE. Platform isn't great, but I'm the one mixing SMAS FG and SMW BG...


Chests: Good. Only problem, it looks odd floating. But if mushrooms double your height and Yoshi can eat endlessly, ANYTHING goes.

I'm not changing or going to change anything and i'll tell you why, You only judged the screenshots and didn't even play the hack.

The screens can tell if a hack is worthwhile. I play each hack, however. IMO this was fun.

The chests are cool, I'm tired of the same ? blocks in every hack. The status bar clock is a good change instead of TIME.

I agree here. I did this myself in one hack.

Chucks heads is funny, it wasn't supposed to be professional. Changing things is NOT easy.

Opinion...

The rain looks good WHEN YOU PLAY THE HACK. I don't know how to make a screenshot of rain look nice for everyone.

Well... most of us don't see THAT MUCH rain usually. :-\

Everyone got ripped BG and FG in thier hack, I don't. I don't know how to change my fireball the green color I wanted without screwing up something else. and I don't know how to change the color of the platforms.

ExGFX or pal. hacks.

I wanted something different than the same lameass "Mario save the princess" hack. Luigi's colors are from SSBM and they look GOOD. It's funny because when I play my hacks in front of people in school, in the library, or at home with my friends, they were blown away with my graphics, level layout, and Luigi's fireballs, and they play SMW just as much as everyone here. BUT, when I show and share my hacks to this board I get this:

"The item box frame have got a different color. Are those chests used ? blocks? It's not looking good anyway..."

"The Start and level tiles look out of place, and the border is just weird"

"What the hex did you do to Chuck and the coins? And turn that damn clock off"

"Luigi looks odd for some reason. Shorter than usual? Aanyway, the BG looks good but the FG, not so much. The platform is a pink color, the SMB3 blocks need to be blue or something (just change them), and the flower is messed up"

The flower is messed up, but I like good levels.

Don't worry about it though. I won't post my hacks here anymore.

...You WILL get better with time, like Chris.

People expect too much out of you here, espacially from my 1st hack. No one wants to help, though everyone wants to quickly criticise everything. It got aggervating, but I finished my game perfectly the way I wanted it not what everyone else want. I worked TOO DAMN HARD on this hack for it to be criticised just by my stupid screenshots. So have fun criticizing.

You have to take it less personally...

83. Use new palettes, expecially if you're using only SMW graphics. Granted, I may not do this, but I suck at paletting in SMW.

84. Place object templates every so often at the top of the level, then delete them when you finish the level.

85. It is OKAY to change the status bar palette, as long as it is still readable.

86. ExAnimation gets you places.

87. Don't heavily overuse custom blocks like the SMB3 bricks unless you're hiding a secret in them, such as a 3-up moon or a key exit.

I am in need of a sprite that drops when you walk on it, like the Donut Lifts in SMB3.

Sprite 12 is entirely unused, so it's safe to replace that.

This would be a pretty useful hack(the fading of all colors)... as I use quite a few SMAS rips. (No, I'm not switching to other game rips YET.) These levels look like utter SHIT in some cases.

Keikonium, you've REALLY improved since the first SSW demo. These GFX are amazing

Doesn't ExAnimation use its own GFX slot? You can also assign the animations to any tile number... so you could replace a few tiles you don't use (Such as the transparent block, for one example I've used in my old hack)
