| "Not a problem." Shino thinks. It is indeed good to have a telepathic friend. Shino: "Come on, where is that power I always hear you talking about? Or, are you too slow to use it?" Jansen: "Right here!" Jansen's fist expands again as his knuckles crackle with electricity. He throws a massive punch at Shino, smashing the halfling in the face and sending him flying. "Shino" then vanishes into a puff of smoke... Jansen: "Kage Bunshin...of course..." The real Shino then walks out behind Jansen... Shino: "Please. Do you think I'd fight another DiEn without doing a bit of scouting first? Besides..." One of the blue wisps around Jansen begins to transform... Shino: "I'm not the only one who knows how you fight..." Jansen: "!!!" |

| Dropkick Murphys - The Green Fields of France A cover song off thier new CD, The Warrior's Code. It's about a young soldier who gets killed in World War I. This is one of thier more mellow songs, but it's not a bad song, not by a long shot. It's a nice and relaxing, yet powerful. It's not quite what you expect from the Murphys, but it's a welcome addition to the album, and suits their style very well. One of the better covers they've produced, in my opinion. |

| As most of us are aware, college is on the horizon, and school supply shopping season along with it. Very soon I will be looking into purchasing a new laptop, and was wondering if it was possible to make it do one very important operation: Run World of Warcraft. To be specific, I would like to know what kind of specs to look for when browsing (processors, video cards, etc), and how it runs on it (for those of you that have pulled it off). Any help you could give me would be very much appreciated. |

| Jansen: "What the fu--" The Battle Badger smashes Jansen in the face, sending him flying and directly into a nearby wall, nearly shattering completely through. The clash would have clearly made quite a bit of noise, had it not been for Garro's silence spell. This was going better than planned... Jansen's arm returns to normal, as he slowly gets back up... Shino: "I'll keep watch on the outside. You guys look like you can handle this for the moment..." Meanwhile, Jansen is now tad preoccupied with his new golden assailant... Jansen: "Owwwww....what the hell IS that thing?" Jansen expands both his arms this time around, this time attempting to crush the Battle Badger within his massive palms. Meanwhile, Shino looks in from the outside of the Silence bubble... Shino: "...Typical Jansen. All the brute force in the world, none of the intelligence..." |

| "Can't say I have." Shino thinks back. "I don't have much experience with summon merging. That would be Ada's department." "Besides, I doubt we will need it at this point." He thinks. "Take a look at him..." Jansen is in bad shape. He is holding his chest in pain, and is even beginning to cough up blood... Jansen: *Gack* "What...the hell are you *cough*?" Shino: "Hmm...I would say it's time to put this kid out of his misery..." While Jansen is distracted by Schwa's conjurations, Shino rolls into the bubble and past Jansen, drawing his daggers. Shino: "I'm sorry, Jansen...but this is the end." "Shadefoot Backstab!" Without a hint of hesitation, Shino plunges his daggers into Jansen's back. Jansen screams in pain for a moment, a bit of blood spurting from his mouth. Shino: "It's like the old saying goes...Rogues do it from behind..." Jansen's body falls limp to the ground. He's clearly dead to all who look at his corpse. It would seem the threat has been nullified for now. Shino: "...Truth be told, I didn't think it would be that easy. Then again, he always was a bit of a knucklehead." The fighters withing the bubble can hear a rimshot noise. Shino starts to laugh. Shino: "Heheheh...get it? Cause he fights....with the...brass..." Everyone is silent. The party can hear a cricket chirp in the distance. Shino: "...Okay then. I'll clean up the corpse. Everyone else can go back to the wedding, I guess..." |

Jansen knows how to backup his memory and thoughts into his BioArmor, and recover them eventually if wiped. That ability is mostly reserved for long term wiping, but he would eventually gain his thoughts back. So, as sad as it is to say, death was the only option this time..." Shino taps his foot, and opens a portal under the corpse, which drags it in. Once the corpse has been completely consumed by the portal, it closes, taking all biological evidence with it. Shino: "Besides, he's in a better place now...Call it insurance for life." "Come to think of it, how long have we been away from the ceremony?" |

| Shino sees the overwhelming negative response from his actions, and begins to feel quite a bit of remorse. Perhaps it wasn't the wisest thing bringing the others here... After all, Shino was raised around death since he was born. It wasn't fair to expect them to be used to it as he was... Shino: "Everyone...I'm sorry I brought you all here. I wasn't sure if an elite or an amateur was coming, and I was unsure how much backup I would need. I see now that what we had was a bit...overkill. Innocent eyes didn't need to see this...and I apologise profusely. ...but..." Shino takes of his glasses, and walks alongside Grey as the party makes their way back to the chapel... Shino: "In response to your question, the seal IS what you think it is. It's a seal placed on the BioArmor that renders DiEn unable to engage in intercourse with each other. The seal is normally applied to the two DiEn who wish to marry each other once thier marriage is approved by the DiEn Council. " "The reason the seal is applied...is because if a DiEn has any offspring, there is approximately a 36% chance that the baby will be born into an alternate realm, throwing that realm into complete disarray, and often destroying the realm entirely. Which, of course, goes against the entire DiEn code..." Shino puts his glasses back on, and exhales slowly... Shino: "This is why the registration and sealing is so important to most DiEn. If married DiEn do not register and take the seal, they are breaking the DiEn charter...and if they break the charter, they branded as outlaws, and marked for death by every DiEn in existence." "On the other hand, there are others like Jarukoth, Ada, myself, and the other DiEns in attendance today, who feel that a grey area is nesscessary when dealing with such matters. Instead of killing the DiEn child, they can be removed from that realm and put into foster care, and so forth. They are constantly arguments between those like us and people who always want to go by the proverbial book...like Jansen back there." It's a debate that has raged on for centuries, but this is the life of a DiEn...torn between our job of preserving the balance of the realms and affirming our own hearts and ideals. This is why this ceremony was kept secret...and why Jarukoth and Ada are secretly putting thier lives on the line more than ever from this day foreward... Shino finishes his explanation just as the group reaches the door. He then opens the door for the guests and motions for them to go ahead in... Shino: "After all of you..." |

This is how deep the convictions run in most of us..." Meanwhile, he sees the weeping Ami before him. While he wasn't especially familiar with her, her identity was apparent just from what he had heard from Nimue. Shino goes up to the young girl, and hugs her warmly. "I would like Nimue to talk to Ami and Korra." Shino thinks to Schwa. "She cares for the kids quite a bit, and could talk to them much better than I could..." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile, inside... Nimue: "...I now pronounce you Husband and Wife. You may kiss the bride..." The couple kiss, and the guests applaud in thier seats, most unaware of the tragedy outside. Jarukoth and Ada knew something had happened, but it didn't matter right then. They were just too enraptured in the happiness of the moment... |

| I kinda figured someone else would make a thread on this. It was definitely a good zombie movie, to be sure. All my fellow zombie movie nerds cheered when Tom Savini came onscreen. I looked at the credits, and supposedly Simon Pegg was also supposed to have a cameo somewhere in the movie. Nobody I went with saw him the first time around. |

Nimue reassuring looks to Schwa, putting her hand on his shoulder. Nimue: "It's okay, I'm aware of what Ami must have seen up there...expecially if Shino had anything to do with it..." ------------------------------------------------------ As Nimue searches for Ami, the rest of the wedding party has congregated in the hall outside. As for Jarukoth, he looms behind Nakase, hearing her comment. He doesn't seem very annoyed, instead leaning down beside her, whispering in her ear... Jarukoth: *whispering* "Well, not only do I want to be a good husband, I also spent half my life as an undead soldier, and the other half as a workholic-for-hire. Can you really blame me for wanting what I have coming to me?  "Jarukoth is suddenly cut off by a tap on his shoulder. Ada: "Don't you think we should get moving? What time did you schedule the reception hall for?" Jarukoth: "Don't worry, it's scheduled for 5:00." Ada: "Well, it's 6:00 now." Jarukoth:  Ada motions to a clock on the wall. Sure enough, they are a bit late... Jarukoth: "Alright everyone! To the Reception Hall! On the double!" The guests begin to hurry on thier way to the hall, expessing a few concerns along the way... Rob: "Oh...so does that mean we missed the cocktail hour? Shoot..." Kari: "Forget the booze...we didn't miss the CAKE, did we?!" |
