Heh, since there are more sprites to render, the emulator requires more resources, and with a slower system and/or video card, it slows down. The same goes for games emulating DSP chips, like Star Ocean or Mario RPG.
And, yes, Doom on SNES sucked at all, the enemies could not be recognized at all, even Alien vs Predator on SNES was better than that

Well I never finished the final battle in DKC2, other than the ones in DKC1 and DKC3
But the battle in part two was nice, with only few elements such as flying spiked balls and gas clouds later it is quite funny
Also the battle with him in the Lost World in DKC3 was nice ... I liked the idea using the light beams ... it took a long for me to find out how to block the beam when trapped below the two '"beamers" and the active laser above

I have masses of ideas for RPGs, like when attempting to try to use ideas in a new battle system; alternate ways to learn new skills, like in battle only (SaGa series), making TP potions unus(e)able in battle, creating enemies which change tactics as more HP you take off them, or chaning their tactics after they scanned you and found your weaknesses etc. pp
But when I'm opening the RM2k or RM2k3, I'm sitting, entering event by event, a bug occurs and I'm angry. The last time I had some nasty bugs I couldn't remove ...
A Change Variable command was not executed, days later the database of my game was broken, its size was 0 KB, although I never made major mistakes like copying instead of importing all files into the project

Posted on 05-25-04 05:24 PM, in Newbie question on how to load SMW hacked games Link
Be sure to use a virgin SMW ROM with 512 KB in size for each hack you're using.
Alternatively you won't need to patch the SMW ROMs in the most cases. You also simply could use ZSNES' implemented auto-patching feature by putting the IPS into the same directory where the SMW ROM is, then giving both files tha same name, like
MarioHack.smc and MarioHack.ips

ZSNES will load the ROM but use the IPS instead temporarily, which contains the changes between the original ROM (what's the virgin ROM you'd have in that case) and the hacked game.

OK Impala! did a translation of SMW in Netherlands and posted a thread about it.
I think the message of Toadstool is treated as GFX inside the ROM and simply not accessible using the standard way using a .tbl file and a hex editor, but I'm not sure.
You simply could ask or PM FuSoYa for that ... he knows it for sure

ZBattle.net worked fine for me in some Mario Kart matches, only two times I got an "Error connecting to server" error, which could simply be solved by closing ZBattle, waiting a short time and restarting it again

I'd go with sandwiches, currently I'm at work, and soon I'll take my breakfast, which would have the name "tea sausage" if translated directly from German into English
Plus, we have always some food from Dunkin' Donuts for free, when till having hunger later

Other than else, when I'm hungry outside, I'd go with the standard pommes frites at MCD's, when outside. For ordering something from home, nothing can beat the classic pizza service

Nothing beats the classic feeling of FF VI
Dozens of chars, a large variety of hidden stuff like Espers, cities, mass of sidequests in the second part, twice as much average playing time than C.T., woot ^^
Chrono Trigger also is a ass-kicking good RPG, no matter, time travels, an absolutely lovely final battle theme, but FF VI beats it all, despite its less colourful graphics

Legion, for huge fonts like that I like the quick font resizing features in Opera and Mozilla
The default font just is fine for deactivated layouts or when viewing in guest status imho

YD, well, sometimes I'm opening the board when at work, then I don't log in, but view the board while not registered ("guest status", guests are non-registered users, named in many common boards like phpBB, Ikonboard, VBB etc.), so you don't see any post layout and signatures, but only formatted text inside the actual post, like Leg's supersize font here.
IF I post at work, I don't log in but write my user name and password for replying, so like everyone else you appeat in brackets while not logged in and posting in the online users' list
You can override the zoom level easy in the both mentioned browsers above, not comparable with the crappy font size options in IE

Edit: "imho" = in my humble opinion

Not at all. The battle system in Chrono Trigger had spells, which strongly reminded to its "inofficial" prequel Final Fantasy VI, just compare Crono's Lightning2 with the Ramuh summon in FF VI.
Not to forget the ass-kicking combo system. Chrono Trigger only was a bit too easy, you have only some fun, when putting battle speed to 1 and the mode on "active" though

1.) Hiryuu. Very clean (only three desktop icons, the rest is inside the Quick Launch) and nice wallpaper, except the little too huge font for the Start button and the window title bars it rocks.
2.) Master Vivi. Good face, background doesn't interfere with the frontground (non-Windows operating system and desktop/KDE, GNOME : P ?) and not too overcrowded.
3.) Cymoro. Neat ninja kid inside that wallpaper, the icons seem to be placed in order and not wildly messed up ^_^.

But it is worlds away from the SMB flash movies (I made a thread), although this is funny ...

I live in Germany and learned also British English. Thus I'm used to write 'colour' unlike 'color' in BE, people I know in RL also mostly use to speak in British English. But even not, it doesn't matter.
Languages are individually spoken, so I don't care if someone uses a specific version or not; the most important thing for me is to understand the other one. But usually I never had any major problems understanding an American citizen, like if he/she asked me something om the street

Well, nice idea, but simply taking a screenshot off a loaded ROM is not a proof, since everything can be faked easily. Either I suggest to take a ZSNES movie (although they could get incredibly huge after a longer game or have the tendency to mess up sometimes ) instead or *sigh* to limit it on real carts only .. excluding lots of people here that way :/
Other than that, nice idea ... although a personal meeting like in your image, Imoto, cannot be made here of course

WTF. This is blashphemy. You left out Super Mario RPG. Die.

And dammit people, Zelda != RPG. It's called Adventure, quite a bit different.

Yeah ... the same goes with games like Terranigma or Illusion of Time; a neat level up system and riddles do not make an RPG, since you battle directly without giving commands only but moving, performing moves etc.
On the other hand, there are exceptions like Star Ocean or Tales of Phantasia

As for the RPGs, I'd go with FF VI, since it only has a basic story; but set up very good, humourus and also sad or very exciting moments, and the dialogues simply are great ... ("There is sand on my boots! " - Kefka to his soldiers; or "Mr. Thou!" - Gau to Cyan )

My second choice is not mentioned and would be Rudora no Hihou.
Ignoring the technical aspects (fully animated enemies, great graphics and soundtrack) it also wins besides its even more crappier story: An ass-kicking magic system which allows you to create your own magic-spells; also not too easy since the more devastating spells consume up a very high amount on MP; items like Tasty and Horny Waters are limited to 9 each; so you have to save your herbs and potions very wise (especially dealing the MP); especially in the chapter boss' battles with tons on HPs

Try to use the proper HTML tag inside your post header than using the "Post background" field" in the profile, my example is
(...)
<table width="640" height="380" style="background:url(http://mitglied.lycos.de/mithrandir21/Rudora.jpg )>
(...)
</table> (in the signature)
Maybe using CSS might help a little more, or simply change your host again

I can see your post background well, at least in Firefox:
Atma's post background, 67.74 KB

As for Starcraft, at least in Germany the numer of players in StarCraft/BroodWar beats WarCraft3/The Frozen Throne in Battle.Net.
SC/BW simply is balanced almost perfectly, tactics like masses of one unit type only works against newbies or people who forget to scout the enemies' (tactics), for all other people some units support the other ones; like Valkyrie and Wraiths for Terran air force

For Zelda, I'd go with Zelda III too; it simply has the best dungeon design ever, plus the searching for hidden items and pieces of hearts is really addictive (on the first weekend I got it I spent nearly all the time on that game )
