ASM is pretty complicated and a "low-level" language, but not easy at all.
You need to understand the assembly well, specified for the type of it, in SNES case 65816.
You could check proper docs on Zophar's Domain or simply search the web for tutorials and other information.

Heh, I'm not the only Gandalf in the forums, but as long I know some of other forums with my "clones" as well, I know they're no lamers at all
I dislike any versions of way too popular names. I think it might be okay, if someone is the first one in a forum and takes a name like "Locke" or "Terra".
They're original ones as long they are also adored of that game and didn't take it just for fun.
I'm fond of the magician in LotR, but more of RnH (lik in my sig), but since I'm using a magic character avatar anyway, it just fits perfectly with me, keeping my name either for the saga and tha rest from that japanese RPG
But my AIM screen name is ... ... nah, I know it sounds dumb, but I own it a very long time, "Gomorrha" was taken, so I simply added 21 after it, what was my age then

I know a SSJ in a forum who is not dumb at all but a very mature person; this might be only one rare exception in the web

The manual mark-read-per-forum ist uperior to the setting in phpBBs, VBBs and all other forums. Like when you load the fitting /index.phps of the pages, going somewhere else without opening a new Tab, then go back; the board probably marked the forums read, although you never went into a forum now
I only post in General Chat, four or five of all forums as well regularly, but I mark these forums usually read per forum when I'm done, then going on /index.php and hit "Mark all forums read", to remove all the "NEW"s from the forums I'm not interested in anyway, just as said in the initial answer here

Either way, it's cute. It suits you.

If you want to play it, get a Japanese SNES cart/ROM, since in the other versions the anime stuff was replaced by Yoshis
By the way, pretty nice game. Even me, who does not like puzzle games at all (except Puyo Puyo clones ), got/is really addicted to Tetris Attacl, although not that good at all

I really would like to play it, but two things might disturb it:
1.) I'm running an old PII *sigh*
2.) I have no broadband, but only ISDN 64k, thus the latency between DSL <-> smallband can be deadly ...
But since I played Mario Kart a few times only via ZBattle.det, I don't know how it is different to be connected directly via ZSNES (since tthe hacked ZBattle.net is down foever )

I'm not that good at all, except many poor x3s, x4s I rarely hit something above x7 chain, but I'll work on myself

I would love it if Tactics Ogre (J) ran properly in ZSNES and support the GFX settings right
SNES9x just runs crappily on my comp, either too fast or too slow and it's not satisfying me at all, thus I don't emulate TO with it, although it is supported fully (!)

There's no "debt" which should have be paid back by dropping such a devastating bomb; plus the people who didn't get killed in the bomb impact centre, will be dead as well and suffering ldue to the radiation.
Hitler treated the Jews also no comfort way at all, but no one of these crimes must be sued with an Atomic Bomb ...

Probably it might be possible to make it user-dependable and storing in a user_specific variable, such as the color or layout scheme someone is using. But I doubt it would be implemented for just one person, and if less than one per cent of all 'contendants' for these synromes would use it ... pretty non-profitable

The Japanese version has better spell names. "Cure", "Cura" and "Curaga" sounds better then "Cure" "Cure 2" and "Cure 3", the same thing with the elemental spells here
Since FF IX the spell names got reverted to the Japanese ones back, at least in the US and German version ^^
But I won't play FF VI just again (got through it dozens of times) for that scene, but when I want to play it again ... and not only proceeding to that scene if some person says "Fuck" or something else ... FF VIII already had more then enough of that speak (at least in the German version )

I'm emulating mostly SNES, but I'd also go with the real console. The emulators have lots of advantages, as better resolution. nifty features like save stating, no danger in corrupting save games, the ability to hack a ROM and taking screenshots for example ...see the posts above me, I don'T want to repeat everything
But on the other hand, I would really adore it to own an SNES Rud(o)ra no Hihou ROM, just to own a game which is rare, I won't me bother ever that the ROM is in Japanese (since I finished it twice I know where to go ), the same goes for PSX and other emulation.

When I'm playing games like Vagrant Story alone or a fighting like Tekken 3 with friends, is much more easier than anyting else:
You bring the console, plug in the console, two controllers, probably a memory card and the players ^^
Technically the PC may beat it in any way, especially dealing the 16-bit systems; on the 32-bit systems people ripped tilesets from games like Suikoden II to use it in RPG Maker 2k/2k3, even in 256-colours the shadings are neat (!), but the real feeling cannot beat the PC at all:

The most beautiful moment when buying a console game is the first insertion in the drive; you just came from the store with the feeling "Yesh, I just bought me a neat game, cannot wait to play the (Mini)DVD at home ", while a ROM is other thing:

"20 seconds ... when will this this be finished ?", or "Crap, it doesn't work with ZSNES, I have to use emulator XYZ which I don't like " ...
I value the classic feeling more than the technical aspects, but as for RnH, I cannot get to a functional cart, so I stick with the ROM (which has as well a good English translation by Lakmir ). Even if I would find it on Ebay for example. it would have that insane high bids I never would be able to buy it then

Yeah, you're forced to beat a hard game without daring try use the keys F2 and F4 when getting through uber-hard passages ... and when you're done you really can say you dit it, and no stupid .zst file which saved you dozens of times restarting the level from the beginning
So I never would sell my SNES, playing hacks on carts would be just nice too. I don't know how it might be possible to transfer it into a blank ROM, or probably by a copier like the Super WildCard DX2 ?

Mods and admins are normal users like every other, except they own an account with extencded rights in a forum, and (should) are/be mature and intelligent enough to lead their forum normally. And comparing power levels with someone's intelligence or character simply sucks; except for a banned moron who acted dumb by will

I don't see advantages in using ZSNES DOS, except you're running it on a very old machine/operating system. Probably it won't run too well on 2000/XP with a DOS emulator like Dosbox, so it would be an emulator running in an emulator; ZSNES in Dosbox ...
Windows ME already had no pure DOS left ... only the command input console (or whatever it is called there; I'm running a German Win ME ).
You cannot copy and paste your image (although there's the nice F1 -> dump feature ), and even the Netplay won't work.

In Germany every houshold needs to pay the books themselves ... up to 100 Euros per year and child
As for the debt, I think they're right. These books are very expensive and if everyone simply forgot or damaged them by will, the school or university would have to buy new books in masses; so rent the money somewhere or whatever and pay your debts

Well, I'm currently playing the German version of FF VIII and it also does have the original spell names, like Vita, Vitra and Vigra for the Cure spells; I just mentioned tha speak itself. "Scheisse" and such was used way too often in that game
At least FF VI has a nice translation; it was one of my first English RPGs ever, I didn't had major problems to understand the language (like in Chrono Trigger too), there were some very nice alternative jokes in it, too. FF VIII, IX and X had these original spell names too.

"Mr. Thou" w/ Cyan and Gau ... , just to mention the scene with Gau in The Veldt

I rarely go to a McDonald's or Burger King, then I'm eating only a small portion of pommes frites, probably a shake, and that's all.
For me, it doesn't matter if I go to MC D or BK, to Kentucky Fright Chicken and such I don't go too often too

Impressive setup w/ hacking the save state (or the room using SMILE! in the ROM... ) , but I'm wondering about your weird key button config. I never would use the default setup with shot on X
Well, but keys can be changed though
I wonder why the beams do damage to Samus, was this supposed to be but never happens usually (?), since the beams are faster then Samus Aran when running at full speed w/ the Speed Boosters.

If it doesn't work with just _these_ tiles, then create a new block in the Map16 area.
Make it act like a solid block (130) and assign the fitting tiles for displaying the GFX from the underground tileset. So this could be cement block but only using other GFX
Maybe it could work

3000 $ probably won't fit all all. As said above, every student don't need several gigabytes of storage place; instead the computers should be good enough to run Photoshop with several images open simultaneously for example. The best server system doesn't work if the the comps are too crappy
Don't forget the servers need to be checked as well; and everything needs to be backuped daily too, on external harddrives, which can be plugged of the network after holding the data. If a virus destroys any diploma tasks or something equivalent, this will be more than bad, if the backup-server got infected and the recovery hard drives are los as well .
For some people, even MS Word already destroyed their documents in very large amount of pages, including images and such; so it should be sure as well
