No, i don't know any ASM. It would make things a lot easier if I did though.
Do you suggest learning another programming language first, such as C++, etc. (to get me more experienced with the programming world), or is it just as easy to go strait to SNES ASM.

Geno's first post: It was somewhat nescessary, slightly mean, and funny at the same time.

Nall is a character from Lunar 1 & Lunar 2.
He can change into 3 forms; A Cat (this is when he's always talking about fish, obviously),
a Human, and a Dragon.

So if you want to look into this more, I would advise playing Lunar 2 for the Sega CD. It might give you more clues, or just a better understanding of Nall, which could help you guess what the rest of the code could be.

I've corrected most of the "glitches". But actually, they were just a bunch of paths and OV levels that weren't completed yet. I haven't got around to making some of the Levels for World 1 & 2, so for now, I had just put any level there to make a path to the completed parts of my OV (just to get the main idea of what the OV will look like).

I have updated the hack a lot since then, even with a completely new Title screen. But it's not ready for a public release yet. I need to make World 1 first before it'll have much gameplay. If you just want to see the changes, let me know and I'll upload the current version.

BTW: (For the ground in my Tilte screen) I need a block that will play animations 1-8 when stepped on, and stays at frame 8 if Mario continues to stay on that block.
Then when he steps off, it'll play animations 9-16, and stay at frame 16 until Mario steps on the block again.

And also, The Giant Castle is on Level B. (It still needs some work though, but most of the first area is done, it's also kind of challenging)

Oh and also, does anyone know how to change the Giant Mole's palette #, so that it doesn't use palette 8. The feet's colors look wrong when you've got Fireflower, or when you're as playing Luigi.

I've been working on the hack for a long time (2 years), but I still consider it a Beta Release because of the large amounts of work that still need to be done.
But overall, I think I'm almost to a point to where the Hack can be a playable, profesional-looking hack, but I still need to complete a few things before I would say that it's ready for any actual gameplay.

To make a layer translucent; open the "Level Header Settings" window (Mario's face [in the tool bar at the top] ), and then change the Top-Most List to #1E (1E has Layer 2 as a Background), or 1F if you want it to have Layer 2 to act as a level-like layer.

Sorry, I meant the other way around (Midi to SPC), I already knew that SPC's could be converted to Midi's. I didn't notice that I had it backwards when I typed it.
So the question I meant to ask is; Is there a way to convert a Midi to an SPC?

If so, that would be a good way to make just about any song in SMW (rather than only being able to rip from other SPCs), once SMW Music Editing is avalible.

BTW, how's the progress Orynider?

You also have to careful about going Up or Down too far (depending on the Vertical BG Scroll Settings "Constant, Variable, and Slow"). That can cause the BG to look messed up, because the glichy animated gfx are actually part of the Background (you can even have this happen in Horizontal Levels).

You can use my Palette Animation tutorial, but you'll have to get it from Geno (Geno was the only one who saved it before the Old Board got deleted).

BMF: What are the Addresses for the Status Bar? (In Hex Address, AKA to modify in a Hex editor)

And also, how can I use Snes Ram Addresses (is there a program which modifies the Rom through Ram Addresses) to modify the Rom. (Not with PAR Codes, I mean to actually keep the changes)
