| I like that.... I really do I won't deny the truth behind it.... the "War on Terror" doesn't have to be fought with guns and bombs.... but I think it is being fought that way because there is no ally in the war on the other side.... at least not a very visible one... that article even said that not many are speaking up, and when they do they get crushed. the majority of the Islamic world disagree with what a small group is doing.... but the Islamic world as a whole doesn't realize that with little effort they could be 10 times louder and more powerful.... |

| Ziff: people should be free to worship how, where and what they may.... and to try and force religion upon anyone is really stupid in general... as for the 10 commandments.... sure, why not just rip every religious thing that has ever been put anywhere in this country out of the ground and put it in a warehouse... then no one has to see anything and we can all live happily ever after! |

I don't know many religions that advocate killing people.... none of the major religions ever did.... it was a few people in those religions that felt they could use religion to start wars and instigate crusades etc. Jesus taught to turn the other cheek.... get hit twice rather than hit back.... too bad no one lives like that anymore.... the world would be a better place if people stopped claiming to be something, and instead actually were what they claimed to be

better them than us in my opinion and really, if we had invaded Japan instead of dropping the bomb, I'm pretty sure more lives would have been lost on both sides than were lost because of the bomb

we don't know how long the Japanese would have held out.... and there probably would have been extensive bombing runs on the major cities... it's possible that the same number of civilians along with a lot of soldiers that would have died.... depending on how long it took Japan to surrender remember, it took 2 bombs to stop the war.... we don't know to what lengths they would have fought if they didn't have to endure that

would that have worked? sure, it would have looked scary.... but the impending invasion was probably scary too.... |
and back in those days you could drop a bomb on an island, but there wasn't really any way to show the japanese that the bomb had dropped... I just don't think it would have worked considering they had to drop 2 to get Japan to surrender....
