Anyway, could you be more specific about the error? Like, what does the error message say, and when do you get the message? And sorry, EggVine is the only YI editor, but it is still damn good, even without the display of graphics. You should give it a go anyway, you just have to get used to the absence of graphics.

Dcahrakos supposedly was making an editor that would display the graphics and run more smoothly than EggVine, but he is completely full of crap, because he's never shown any screens (at least legitimate ones), and he's told me I would have betas of the editor last September, and again last month, but I still have absolutely nothing. So EggVine is your only hope, Pete, good luck!

Was gonna say SMW Minus but then I saw intentionally bad hacks don't count.

I'll say Chris's first SMW hack was pretty bad, although he has improved a lot.

I know another one but I want to spare his feelings...

Oh yes, you can't use the European version. Only v1.0 (U) will work. I will PM you a link to that ROM.

You've edited the rest of Mario's graphics, yet you don't realize the way to fix your problem is to edit that part of Mario's graphics?

If you're having trouble finding the Mario "grabbing" graphics, they're in the third row of Mario graphics, all the way to the right. I don't think SMB has "grabbing" graphics anyway so then you'd be in a pickle, unless you're a good drawer.

There's a problem with these two sprites in a level I'm making. As you can see, there's layer 3 tides, but the porcupuff fish floats above the water, and the dolphin shoots all the way up the screen into oblivion. I've positioned these sprites correctly on the screen and enabled buoyancy, but it still does this. Anyone know what's wrong?

The complete opposite happens when you disable buoyancy, they both sink into the sea. I already did that anyway, so meh .

Yeah, I looked at level 2 in the original, I compared several things, such as the Layer 2 scrolling rate, forced layer 3 above all other layers, buoyancy, sprite memory, header info, etc. It matches for the most part.

I'm not using the rising tides, just the basic layer 3 tides.

Well, I just deleted those sprites and reinserted them and they worked fine, but thanks for the tips. By the way, that screen is from SMW+6, I'm working on it again. I'm also working on SMW- again.

Make a really bad, redundant remake level, like SMB 1-1 for example, but just extremely crappy and boring, as are most SMB 1-1 transfers to SMW.

Awesome YI rips, the BG and the enemies. I just hope YI graphics don't get overdone like SMAS graphics, I've seen more YI GFX in SMW lately, but never this particular BG. Great job!
