I don't know if your allowed to request, or suggest ideas for a hack, but could anyone 'Super Mario Land', in which the levels are the same designs as the original levels, including the bonus levels? (The first level is found in 'The Second Reality Project', but is missing the second bonus stage), or could anyone do Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins? (GFX or Ex-GFX aren't necessary, but the level layout is). | |||

Thanks very much. I have done the mushroom house (the very first level, which you cannot re-enter once completed) using screen-scrolling pipes, but I can't upload it because I haven't got anywhere to upload it from, i.e. I don't have a webpage. Anyway, it's still got SMW GFX and BGs. (BTW, apart from DJ Bouche and David Phaneuf (and me of course), who else here is also a member of the www.vgmusic.com forums?) | |||

I've opened it in MS Paint, and resaved it as a PNG file, now it's only about 75 kb, but now ImageShack won't load (for me at least). It worked before. EDIT: ImageShack worked again, so here's a pic: It's just the start of the level. (edited by ultimate-koopa on 08-04-05 05:08 PM) |

I know you can't (or at least, I don't think you can) put SML2 music (GBS file, or MIDI files) as SPC files in SMW or SMAS, and there's 7 different stage BGMs in SML2 (not including the bosses), and only 3 in SMB3 and 4 in SMW. What music are you using for the others, or are you putting music from all 3 SMB games? | |||

I think the block graphics are from SML2, and so are the goombas and koopas, also could you, Link2004, post the original screenshots from the Gameboy next to your screenshots because it's hard for me to work out what stage(s) the screenshots are from. Link2004 already has SML2 GFX for his hack: Look at the Mario, Goomba, Koopa, Pipe and Block GFX, and then look at the SML2 GFX. |

So do I. But I think it would be really cool if you could add SML2 music (midis), and the level graphics are exactly the same, including the backgrounds (just coloured and enhanced). And, the 'turtle eating mario when he enters 'Turtle Zone'' animation (what are you gonna do, Link2004 for the turtle zone, just have a normal entrance/exit?) Anyway, can't wait to play the demo when it's released (friday or saturday, maybe, as you say ), and I can wait even less to play the full thing. Er.. I know music can't be implemented. I said it would be cool if... Like, it would be cool if the sun was blue and my computer also combined as a TV, DVD player, Video player, Toothpaste, Toothbrush etc..., but I know it won't happen. (edited by ultimate-koopa on 08-17-05 09:54 AM) |

Are you going to have hearts for 1-ups just like SML2 had? And, shouldn't the 'used' blocks (the blocks after you hit a ?-blocks) be a bit darker? And what exactly is this patch that peter is supposed to give you? |
