I haven't heard much from The Seahorses, but according to my Stone Roses-loving sister (who would probably vote the Roses over Oasis in this poll), they are quite good. It has to be said, both John Squire and Ian Brown were at their best when they were together, thus The Seahorses just ain't as good as The Stone Roses. As for the anagram, well, it could be a coincidence, but I think it fits quite well, since there was a lot of trouble between Squire and the rest, thus I think it was deliberate.

Hehe, somehow it looks as if you're taking all my nominations first, eh?

Well, this one isn't too hard, though. Up-and-coming British band which has already put themselves up there through some extremely beautful songs vs. an ok Britpop band which will never live up to its big brother Oasis. The answer is Starsailor.

Crybaby Ruud is about to learn that even though you're an extremely overrated striker playing for Man Utd you're not allowed to do just whatever you want. UEFA will decide today whether he should be punished for the way he yelled at Anders Frisk after the loss to Portugal. I hope they give him a great, big fine, and also let him know that he's horribly overrated and, for his reactions against Frisk, an extremely bad loser. The guy needs to come down to earth.

Speaking of which. Totti 3-match-ban for spitting + Italy only got to play 2 matches in the Euros after his ban + Next Italy Qualifier is against Norway --> No Totti against Norway --> Me happy!

With the current success of Apple and the iPod, I feel inclined to ask "why no iTunes?"

I use Windows Media Player, by the by. Not because it's the best, coz it ain't, but because it's the one I'm used to. In my opinion, iTunes would be the best media player, but I'm too lazy to download and install it.

*cough* Norway's oldest beer/brewery. It's real, it sells a lot, they do export to the US, and the pilsner is possibly the best pilsner to ever have come out of Norway. Most people I know with English as their first language refuse to drink it, though.

I'm mighty impressed by the way the Greeks played. As anyone who knows me should be able to guess, I love watching tactical defence and great teamwork (which explains why I'm a fan of Germany) over individual technique (technique may be beautiful sometimes, but it's a lot more fun to see a team put together of teamplayers who work together with good tactics, especially when they actually manage to win, as well (*cough*hint-Germany-it's-about-time-you-freaking-win-again-already*cough*). Watching Greece is a lot like watching Germany, 'cept for the fact that they actually win, of course. I was most pleased with yesterday's result! Europe has a new set of kings, the Greek Gods!

By the way, did anyone visit jimmyjump.com? He threw a Barcelona-shirt at Figo.. I laugh!

Proove it. I want to see numbers and statistics. I know that you've never even been over here before so you probably get your impression of Americans off of what people say on the internet or what you see on tv shows. Unless you just assume that we have more because we have a higher population.

As a non-American, non-Swede who has been to both the US of A and Sweden, I think it's safe for me to say that the impression I'm left with is that Americans in general are overdoing it a lot more than Swedes.

Anyway, the fourth of July is over now. I've only celebrated it once (the year I was in America), it was quite fun. Anyway, I hope all the Americans had a good time yesterday, it's always fun to celebrate.

Or something along those lines.

Break it down. 4 2. (4x13) + (2x1) = 52 + 2 = 54.

Base 13.

I bet you don't feel half as bad as I did 4 years ago, when I bet 500kr on The Netherlands winning the Euro Championships, and had to see them go out in the semi-finals after missing two penalty kicks in regular time, and also some in the following PK-shootout.

I can't believe you guys actually thought it was from the 80's, since it says, in a very large font in the bottom-left corner that it's (c) 1991, Wal-Mart.

I will abide by funny cultural laws, and refrain from bragging about myself in this thread. One of the biggest cultural differences between America and Scandinavia is how it is ok to brag about oneself in the US, while it is frowned upon if you do so in Scandinavia. I had a really hard time when I was in the US a year ago, because people sometimes felt me too modest when I wouldn't say nothing good about myself, while to me it would feel rude to praise myself. For more info on this cultural phenomenon, read up on The Jante Law.

Bush - Swallowed

A great song in all respects, really. It's a shame I didn't get into Bush earlier, their music is pretty much fantastic. Mellow, yet aggressive.

Well, as I was typing this, the song changed. Now I'm listening to Ash - Life Less Ordinary. Not the best Ash-song, but with a catchy tune, and definitely worthwile.

Winston Churchill seems to show up on all lists I see over different famous people with disorders. I've also seen him on bipolar-lists and dyslexic-lists... Poor guy must have had a hard time.
