I remember having a complete list of GS codes for catching pkms from #$00 to #$FF. Well, actually the list from BF to FF is where the missigno list starts. Maybe this list is actually in the PKMN rom hacking forum, but i searched for it and didn't found it.

Do you have any screenshots? Well, if not, please tell what new features it will include...There's has been so much time since i played these games, so i need to play hacks to feel the games more challenging.

Good luck with your hack

Changing the palletes and the layout would do, maybe, to make it more different. Adding some hidden items or people to talk with. Well, there must be better ideas, just wait for more feedback.

and the next rule definately needs to be that ifyou post a hack here it mus be in english. That's nice if it isn't your language, but this is an english speaking forum, so if you want to post a hack here, make sure we can all understand it. Otherwise, find a forum that speaks your language and post it there, where it will be more enjoyed.

I've already done that here but not with the hack, it was with some errors given by the author's page.

And if someone wants to post something or translate anything from spanish to english that doens't know how to say it, PM me . I feel good contributing with spanish speakers.

Exactly. They think making a hack is all easy, like "olololol put dis tile her end dis 1 her" but it's a lot more than that. I'm currently trying to learn ASM, but do you see me saying *TEACH ME ASM OR DIE"? People want the people to make it all, and then they add 1 tile or 2, and call it their work. Maybe even 3 or 4 if they get really dedicated

I had someone on MSN (will not disclose the name) invite me, and told me to make the hack for them. Boy, were they rude about it to. I just blocked them
But the point is, make your own hacks. It isn't easy. If you can't do it, either don't do it, or learn by asking questions, not asking people to do it for you

This will probably never get read though. It's a sticky. Sticky and newbie don't match.

I learned first how to make text hacks and graphics hacks by using Google (gfx were 1st). Google is a great help for newbies. (That's how i found this forum). They don't need to post if they can search in the net first. Some people act like they're your friends and then steal all of the credit (not generalizing)

In BT (Bitcomet as a BT client) I share if there's someone that's downloading, but sometimes I'm sharing with a high Upload BW and it gets stuck with an upload BW of 0kb/s. In that cases i feel like i'm contributing with nothing, so i stop the torrent, and if it persists, i kill the task (My damn ISP seems to be blocking ports i think )

A SNES emu for psx? I don't think this will be possible. The psx processor is not too powerful to emulate SNES. I think this must be a hoax.

I've played Krion Conquest, but only the first stages, so i have not seen that guy with the rod. What's his name? Is him a boss or something?

PS: I was interested in playing it because it reminded me a megaman-ish style (how the screen scrolls, the energy bar, the ability to choose powers, etc.)

i had stitches beacause of a surgery in my big toe in my left foot. That surgery was because my nail was inserted in the flesh around it. The doctor removed the nail, saying that it was not going to grow again, but it did . I hope i'm not a freak for that

Hey, that's really awesome. How's it work; does it use games designed for some special system (like VS system or something) or does it just have a list of where games store their scores in memory? And how does it stop people from cheating with codes/hacked ROMs/built-in cheats?

The scores are stored in a file, with a ndb extension. I've open it with an hex editor to see the format of it. I figured it out, and as a cheater i am, i uploaded the scores with ubernes. When i saw that after a long time the scores weren't uploaded, i e-mailed the author, and said that the data i had sent contained 'Too many serious errors'. Then, wondering what has happened, i found that there was a sort of verification code, about 8 bytes, at the beggining of the nes database, so in order to get high scores the only way is to...PLAY. Then i learned my lesson

As for cheats, i think it must be as simple as a variable that says if the user is using a code or not, to prevent uploading. About hacked roms, the emu seems to have the crc of the original roms and compares to it to detect if they're hacks or not. The weird thing is that i played an arkanoid rom with infinite lives, but the emu showed it as if it was the normal rom, so, where in the heck does it stores the original data of the rom ?

PS: I hope the author doesn't read this forum . Said that, the scores showing in the page as 'megaman' are legal because i couldn't cheat

Posted on 09-02-05 01:47 AM, in Problem patching BIG files Link
I'm hacking the text of an 800mb file from resident evil outbreak file 1 (translating into spanish), but the patch makers i found are primarily IPS creators, and a patch maker named NINJA. The problem is that IPS only adresses up to 4MB and NINJA makes wrong patches (I've tested making a patch comparing 2 files the same size and verifyng that the changes appear in the offset that i modified). I patched the original file and made a backup, but it patched in the wrong position, producing a mess. So...are there another patch makers that do the work right?

PS: The only solution that i found was to copy and paste the modified area and saving into a temporal binary file, with the offset from where i extracted it saved in the file...but that gets annoying when the number of pieces modified increases, making a copy/paste process too slow.

Thanks for your advices, but i found this program. It's used to make cracks for executables, but it didn't show any problem to make a patch of any binary file. (my file is about 50 mb)

I also found a patcher (and patch creator) that could be useful. It's better than ips, because it support files bigger than 16mb and it creates an executable patch (i was supposed to be for cracking apps, but why not to give it another use ?). You can download it here

The file i was referring was a piece of the original file, because it's better to work with the 800mb file splitted than the whole file, as it requires too much memory and CPU. The executable patch is only about 18kb (if it were 50mb, then there'd no reason to create a patch, i just would have work with the original file w/out making patches).

To clarify things, the file structure looks like this

El volumen de la unidad C es AMD
El n£mero de serie del volumen es: 6078-F1FB

Directorio de C:\Megaman\Ivan\ps2\dvdLoader
