Well, I don't know much about the custom blocks, those ideas are good, but I think it might take a bit of work. But I REALLY like your layout, it's very nice. And that Mario joke in the bottom right corner is great

I'd say yes on the 2P. If you're like me, and you've beaten the original SMW 1000 times, and beat it with a friend 500 times, you'd love to see something new. I know my friend would love it if I brought over a copy of my hack in 2P! Heck, we'd play it til we beat it.

So yeah for 2P, I recommend it

I really like how you changed the original Cheep-Cheeps to SMB cheep-cheeps.Those look really great

But one this bothers me - out of all those screenies, only one (thats a really good thing ) In the screenshot with the fuzzies and yellow switch bricks, you shouldn't make paths like that. Where you NEED the switch palace to pass.

Unless, of course, you can only get INTO that level if the yellow switch palace is passed. Then it fine

Well, it's not BAD for his first hack, I got to Goomba Fields, I guess thats where it ends. Looks like you used a Blocktool block in there - now lets work on some ExGFX and stuff.
