| I'm pretty sure there was a way to mod a SNES to play NTSC/PAL games, though it involves having a switch sticking out of the console. The procedure for a flash cart is simple: Remove the ROM, put in a rewriteable one, wire it so the pins match. Actually doing it isn't so easy, though.  |

| I wonder how hard it would be to hack the game to use a level # for these instead of hard-coded addresses? Given how this is a dangerous operation; if your new level is bigger than the old one you risk corruption. |

| This isn't live chat, no need to ask that. To make the fireballs go straight, change the bytes at 80C5 and 121D4 to 0. (IIRC, one of those is initial Y speed and one tells how far to fly before changing vertical direction... I forget how it works exactly, but making both 00 makes the fireballs straight.) [edit] 80C5 is initial Y speed, 121D4 is gravity. [/edit] For changing jump height, I forget how, but I know it can be done just by changing a byte. Someone'll know. Alright, I had 3 ideas here, hopefully this won't start another big argument. |
1) The addition of &xxx& tags (like 1116) that display the stats found in status.php. 2) The addition of tags that display the name and post count of a given user ID. (Ex: &username:1& would display whatever name Acmlm currently has, and &userposts:1& would display his post count.) Perhaps also one that displays powerlevel (&userpl:1& would display 3 (hopefully) because Acmlm = teh admin.) This would be more useful combined with the next suggestion. 3) The addition of a "custom header text" field. This would be a small (maybe 1-2K) text field, one per user, that would be inserted just under the FAQ/Color Chart/etc links. Any HTML could be inserted here, including &xxx& tags, and would be displayed there. Javascript, style tags, etc would be enabled, because of course, only the person who it belongs to would ever see it. Here's an example (saved and modified page):  Now, I already know what you're gonna say. "ono another database field omg well all be teh dead". That's why it would replace the Post Radar (seeing how one could easily recreate it using some javascript and simple HTML tags, even the &userpl& tag with some JS to show the right name colour). If more space is needed, one can simply include it in a Javascript file by doing < )So... think about it. (edited by HyperHacker on 06-24-04 12:35 AM)

I'd like to be able to get the width and height of a Mozilla window. From what I hear, window.innerWidth and window.innerHeight hold this, but it doesn't seem to be working... the code 'alert(window.innerWidth+"x"+window.innerHeight)' puts out '85x0' when it's really somewhere along the lines of 1000x900. |

Plus, I need to wash it down; the aftertaste isn't nice and it coats my mouth. I do enjoy it with cereal, or mixed with some chocolate/strawberry syrup. It also makes good ice cream.

As for the ASCII thing, when I tried to do that, it just says 'char is a reserved identifier'.

Well, AVs won't detect a lot of RATs, even freeware, if they're not designed to be malicious, so I can imagine it'd be the same with a keylogger. Try running msconfig to see if you can find the culprit. |
