Or just open the save state in your favourite graphic editor and find the graphics.

LM wouldn't even load the level anymore without being modified. Also, which do you prefer? Make a level in one program, edit some property in another, tweak this in this program, open another program and do that... or do everything in LM? Especially when LM is practically bug-free, while most SMW hacking programs are FAR from it. |

Yeah, the sticky button is apparently a common problem. But you can just poke at it with your finger, or sit a book on top.

It sounds like what you want to do is make a frontend. Basically you'd just make a program with menus laid out however, that when you choose a menu option your program sends commands to the other program.Originally posted by Thayer Nope. |

Yeah, that's what I did. Autoexec.nt doesn't seem to be doing much, I think it's only used at startup.

The only way I know of is to run cmd.exe /k somebatchfile. However I like to just hit Win+R and type 'cmd', which makes that difficult.

Alright, so through some reading and experimentation, I've pretty much got DLLs down pat. I can load one and use it, I can make one, and I can have one call a function in the EXE that loaded it. But there's one other thing I need to do. I need to have an EXE load a resource, located in a DLL, into memory (preferrably without actually loading and initializing the DLL). It needs to be relatively fast, because there could potentially be a lot of DLLs to look through. So how would I go about doing that?

Alright, but I don't really know much about resources to begin with. What resource loading function would I use? And is there a faster alternative to StretchBlt? (edited by HyperHacker on 08-28-05 10:24 PM) |

It's good, but there's generally no resources to edit (at least, no dialogs) in a command-line program. |

Thanks, I'll check that out. |
Anyone know how to show the standard Open File dialog? I've never actually done it in C.

Actually I don't think they do. |
