| Best part about Wind Waker was near the beginning: the Forsaken Fortress. I love the reconnisance-type thing you did with hiding in the barrel. Same thing kinda with the Gerudo Fortress in OoT. The old ones were much better, when Davis still had fresh ideas in his head.  Yea... that part of me that said "well... he's not in cartoon... and there catch phrase 'it's all about me-ow' is kinda stupid.... umm...." is opening up more to become "this movie's gonna blow" Yet I thought the Scooby Doo movies would blow too, but I actually found them relatively humorous (yes, I watched em  )... so I have no clue until it comes out. At which point I'll see what Roger Ebert says and then base my final decision to go see it or not on that. |

| The only game I can think of that you guys got in a fair amount of time is GTA: Vice City. It was released here on the 12th of May, 2k3, and then released in Europe on the 15th... all the other GTA games took months upon months though... why IS Europe the last place everything goes, anyway? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| OK, I just have to vent this somewhere, because I'm mad. And I like to write it down when I vent. Don't respond if you don't have anything good to say. Or helpful. OK, so here goes my rant: I, as some of you may know, am moving to the Los Angeles area this summer. My dad is a high school basketball coach and an award winning Social Studies teacher (4 who's who in America's teacher appearances among other things). He applied to several places out in California. One place he applied was Bakersfield. To give you a background on just how good their team is, they've won several state championships, were ranked 15th in the NATION last year, and were expected to be even BETTER this year. OK, now, this other place that he applied was San Dimas. They just sucked last year. They sucked badly. Really badly. That's all I need to say. Well, surprise surprise, he got offered by both. And when Bakersfield offered him, they said "We're going to go and prepare for the press conference now" but he had to tell them "I have to talk to my wife first" Now, location wise, Bakersfield is about 2-3 hours away from the mainstream of things in L.A. and San Dimas is basically part of the hustle and bustle that is that place now. San Dimas is 10 minutes away from where my mom's parents live. Bakersfield is like, 2 hours away. My mom and dad have been living in Indiana as of late. My mom HATES Indiana. Too conservative. I found that problem here too, but I could tolerate it, I guess. She wants to move back to where she would be accepted for who she is, apparently. And Bakersfield is crazy about basketball, just like schools in Indiana are. And Bakersfield has a lot of farmland. "It's as close to Indiana as you'll get in California" my mom cried. "That's why you're so comfortable there, [dad's name]." In short, she wanted to be close as possible to home, and she didn't want to be anywhere NEAR a cornfield. Bakersfield would have covered 100% of our insurance bills. They would have paid dad 57000 dollars a year. San Dimas covers 70% of the bills. They will be paying him 42000 a year. Dad has accepted San Dimas because it would make mom more comfortable. So he has declined to coach one of the best teams in the nation so that he can go coach a team with a continuous losing record. I was the manager of my dad's other teams in Indiana, but I will refuse to be his manager at a place that has had a chronic losing record, when he could have coached a top 15 national team. I would have gladly been the manager at Bakersfield. But now that he is going to San Dimas, I don't even know if I want to go to that school with him. I will have trouble being in the same room as him knowing that he declined a dream job for some crap job. And I will have trouble being in the same room as mom knowing that she persuaded him to not go there... I'm fucking pissed. |

The terriers now began to grow a little, and one of them even grew another head. In a matter of 30 seconds, the moons above switched and now all of the terriers were 3 headed hounds, and Kefka was a clown with exquisite clothes. The terrier that Teddylot was petting, now twice as big as he, growled at him viciously. Also, the once simple wooden buildings now turned into mechanized factory-type buildings, perhaps as advanced, if not more advanced, than the group's home land. Kefka: *opens eyes* Ah, such a wonderful day to... *looks at the group* What! What is this... you... you are not changed? But... then you are... Weeheeheeheehee! Kefka then jumped over a fence and ran down an alley. The group was now surrounded by these three headed hounds. |

| You may be trying to just be honest about the mood your hack is going to give, JJ, but I personally don't like games that are not only depressing, but are advertised as such, as well. The first world will be cheery, no? That's good. It draws the attention of the players, and the title screen should too. The title screen should catch some attention, and if it's dull and dreary, people will be less inclined to play. So, even if world 2-20 (or however many worlds there are) are evil and depressing, you should advertise your game as cheery and the title screen should too, so more people wanna play! EDIT: and Kyouji, maybe he can get away with making it dreary enough by just playing the castle theme on every single level (edited by Kefka on 05-12-04 07:52 PM) |
