I tried it and it happened to me too. Except I only got to place 2 correctly... I guess the sprite takes many resource(?). It'll effect the level's level(lol), but it's unavoidable. |

I love the storyline!!! It's the best one I've seen yet. I have some suggestions on the levels: SS(screenshot)1:The dirt looks out-of place. Try making a new tile, probably using the already-in-game tiles. SS2;I like it. But the clouds in the BG could be a littel bit expanded more. SS3:I like the Idea, but the lava palette should be changed.(like SS4) And the pipe should be sticking up at least one more 16x16. SS4: Problem with palettes. The ground should be a little darkened a bit. The lava is nice here. SS5:The grass GFX's transparent place should be water-colored. It ruins the whole screen. SS6:I love the idea. Looking nice But what's up with the long shadow(?) on the wall?(in the FG) And the spike's palette could be lightened a little more, or else it's unnoticible. SS7:Let's fill in the arrow sign.(like SS5) SS8:Good. Looks challenging SS9:Yup. There shouldn't be clouds underwater... SS10:W00t! SS11:W00t/2... Where's Mario's hat? Overall, it looks very nice. There are many great part in it, but there are some mistakes that should be fixed. If they are fixed, combined with the storyline, it will be a great one like SMO Keep it up! |

Check these again: Ctrl + Right-Click on the level tile, and (+) Did you set the Overworld Paths for it? (+) Is the "Direction to enable when a **** exit is used" setting correct? (+) Is the "Reveal this level tile on any of these events" setting correct? |

The level of the project is probably unhandlable for the SNES. It'll probably work on new ones like GBA, though. My ASM level is only able to make an SMW block that puts a game crasher item in the item box. |

Omega: Hey! That was, like sooooo flaming. Imoto: Your hack looks good. I like how the 2nd OW turned out. And the idea of using the supmap as the map of the ship. The levels look interesting and pretty challenging to play, but it needs some ExGFX. Only just some of it makes it much better. Oh yeah, Is there a storyline? I'd like to see it. Keep it up. I like it. |

Let's use the "Q&A For noobs" thread next time if you have a question. SNES is the best the way it is. If you don't like how it works, try hacking another type of game machine. It is a pretty old game machine anyway. Well we like the fact that it's retro. |

I didn't to want to make a thread for this, so I posted here. Blktool is nifty. But, sometimes it sucks, such as: (*) There is no block info file, it uses the registry (*) Some words don't show up(especially The offsets.) (*) There is no "Retry" and "Undo". (*) When you remove a block, it scrolls all the way up the list. (*) The add block window is hard to add. (*) The edit block data could be more easy to find blocks. (*) and make a data file for that too. Is anybody planning to fix these probs? Or is blktool sourceless? I started hacking way after blktool's release, and I think Jonwil's HP is broken now. Please tell me the answer... |

I tested it and I'm sure that's Yoshi's House's Birds & Smoke thing, cause the side exit thing is supposed to generate those at a certain X value. Since Yoshi's house is in only 1 screen, I guess the SMW programmers made the sprite show it up only on the first screen, even if you move it to another screen. (P.S. It shows up in the game.) Smallhacker made a tool to edit the enemy names, but nobody made one for the enemy casts. --------- + ----------- + ---------- If anybody is going to make an editor for it, I found hints for it: ([]) The foreground and the enemy moves together, but the background moves like it is "split", it moves left on the upper scroll but right in the down scroll. ([]) When you turn off HDMA emulation, the enemy names just stay in one place, and the two enemy scrolls both move left. ([]) In addition to that, the sprites in the down(second) scroll, the sprites just stay there but the BG and the FG moves. The upper scroll sprites moves with it even if HDMA is off. ([]) Also the data has to be in one part per screen, because ghost lakitu(or whatever it's called)'s fire gets diveded by two but is in one sprite. ([]) All the enemies are comsidered as sprites. Plus, "Thank You", and "THE END" part's Mario are considered as sprites. Interesting fact: Sumo Bros.'s "Used" blocks are sprites. There are turn blocks beneath it. I hope it helped... |

When you do this, the object feels less time than the time of the whole dimention. But, you don't disappear from the place, so normal-timers see you as a slow-moving guy. It seems pretty good to me, but like the others it still doesn't seem like SML2. I think it's the status bar. If you can make it lower, it would seem like SML2 more.
