I got the only one at the local EBGames. I found it to be a very fun game, I'd recommend it to anyone. Perhaps if they hadn't rushed it so much, it would have had fewer bugs though. If SSS ever has a sequel, I'd get that right away. Which endings have you gotten? I have 2 so far, both live, and both die. | |||

Does anyone have any tips for the factory level of orange star in the hard campaign? I can't figure it out myself, and when I rely on luck and a single bomber in the final front mission in the regular campaign, I'm kinda doomed on my own. | |||

Yes. The thing that vexes me is that I cannot get any units into range to attack the pipe before Flak deploys two neotanks and crushes my army, and to move easat puts my infantry in the line of fire from a B. Copter. | |||

(I'm glad I wasn't there for that. )     On the flip side, of your coin, there are people like BMF and DarhkDaiz (plus many more) who are the people who I feel help keep the 'scene' alive, because they present to people the 'ultimate throne' respect kinda thing, where "OMFG if I get really good I can respected like _____!!!1one" and that. In truth, that is one of the things that motivate me to continue hacking and to do the best I can do. Yes, some n00bs do get to be very annoying, and as much sa I hate to name names, I have to present Orynider for that, as he released the same hack several times with only small modifications, or red_oxygen who couldn't listen to the fact that the SNES would not support C like a computer.       In the end however, the 'state of the hacking community' depends on who you base it on; It's going strong if you base it on people like JJ, smallhacker, BMF, darkdaiz, Ice man, and several others. Those people try hard not only to hack (Ice man's SMW3, BMF's SMO, but to support those who hack (smallhacker's programs, BMF's releases). If I were to look from someone else's standpoint, I feel I might be able to put myself into that group, not because I'm me, but because I try to always expand on the limits presented by the original game engine. Yes, I'll admit that to some that is self-gratification, but for me that's the plain truth. And while some people will give up, others will not settle, and instead learn what they need to do. How else would BMF and DarhkDaiz be the uber-hackers they are now had they not pushed their own limits?     In retrospect, It all depends on who you take into account, and how far they're willing to go. |

...You mean the enemy list? I don't know how to make it skip, but you could try blacking (through tiles) the area agter the credits, to give a black screen that would last until the "The End" texst came up. | |||

Well, since it's my birthday in 2 days and I won't be able to get online to post these images then, I'm going to post them now. they're just 5 images of some of what I've been working on, nothing too new, but areas that have been revamped since the last demo. I hope you guys like them. There is one status bar error, anbd I haven't finished the GFX for the item box, so please bear with me on those two issues. |

I don't know if this has a connection to BMF's levelnames.bin code or not, but on the status bar, there is one tile that seems to be written as black constantly. It's the malcoloured "0" in the screen below. |

No, just before it. The special world is so special, I need to restart my save file to get to it because of one mistake I made earlier that stops me from completing the last access requirement. I fixed that now, but I need to restart for it to work. | |||

Ehh, I'm more at home with 65816 as opposed to 6502, but since they're similar, I'll try to help you out. DEC $F6 would be working on a different RAM address the way I understand it, try finding the code for the write, then go back a few bytes in the ROM and place an execute breakpoint (I can't see why there wouldn't be one like that) there, so you can see what comes before the address $4FF. I wouldn't be surprised if the code goes something likeLDA $04FF |

none of those colours came out right... darn photobucket converting my images to an inferior format! The black-and-white things are path bits, I guess I should kinda fix those GP, the green-and-red M thing looks much better when the resolutionj is better, but it it's so ugly, that's what GFX editors are for, right? I'll change the FG color too, I was too bust to change it earlier, and forgot to, thanks for reminding me. I'll tone down the BG colors a bit, but please remember that jpg kills any changes I make, in-game I'd be unable to stand colours that vivid. Yes, and seaside soiree was an MP4 reference, kudos to Zachio for figuring that out. *pukes because of JPG colour genocide* |

Yknow, screw it. Sart at the beginning of the controller ASM (check the old board for it's location, HH had it posted there in one of BMF's stickied threads), then simply disassemble it by hand or however, then find out where it checks to see if it should write to $17. Look through the whole routine, and you should find what you're looking for. then, change the code so it points the L/R buttons to different RAM addresses. There, now all of the code will run, but the L/R handler code will never recieve the input from the L/R buttons. Now, somebody please go try that since I have neither the time or energy to do so. Goddamn school getting in the way of my ideas... | |||
