| "But Twister is already spiky!" MM protested. MM noticed the look in Peardian's eyes. Perhaps he had a plan. "Ok. I'll be right back. I'll get two snifits." MM grinned. "By the way, there's a cart over there full of bags of peanuts. The sign says 'Help Yourself'." MM grinned once more, and headed for the Merc Shop. As he was walking through the lobby, he stopped at sight of a Pyro Guy, struggling to pick up some objects. "Here, let me help you." OOC: Aw, dammit! I'm SO sorry, Fabio, I ignored your post! Dang... Well, yeah, this'll work given the circumstances. (I was supposed to emulate what was behind the capsule for you, but I didn't see your post. I am very sorry.) However, you haven't paid yet... To MM: Uh... Are you stuffing HIS ID and coins into your pocket, or your own? Either way, to get the Mercs, you may want Peardian's permission or something.  To RF: Money? I'll calculate that soon. I should keep track of it on a TXT file on my Hard Drive or something.  The Merc Keeper glares at CM. "Don't bribe me, young man. Just pay me what you owe and that should do." As Fabio exits the capsule and tries going out of the Merc Shop, an alarm sounds. "Dude! You better pay for those mercs!" Fabio's mercs are laughing their asses off by now. With MM... "Gah," a voice says nearby as MM heads to the Merc Shop. "My fireproof gauntlets wore out, and now I can't pick up my stuff. I need someone who'll--" He spots MM. "Ah! Dude, uh... You think you could take 30 coins from this pile of mine and buy me a good pair of Asbestos Gauntlets? I trust you, the Way of the Burning Shyguy informs me you are trustworthy." "Duuuude..." some Koopas with black shells nearby say. They look like potheads, actually. "This guy's strong." "Yeeeeah... Hey, dude, like, he could, like, help us with, like, our problem!" "Aw, that's radical, duuude!" The two Koopas approach the KO'd Raiden and stare down at him. "Dude, he's asleep or somethin', dude." "Guhuh, yeah, toootally." Either way, when Raiden wakes up, he'll find two stoned Koopa Troopas standing over him. |

| Peardian, having nothing better to do, pulls out his small computer screen. Through a mouth full of peanut-y goodness, he says, "Computer, begin full DNA scan of entire area for life form 'Koopa Troopa'. Show all matches in order to similarity of the one earlier. Fingerprint located on Schwa's paper. Execute." A small probe issued from the screen and went to the papers showing the first match and scanning for finger prints. After a while, it flies into the sky and starts to scan the entire Mushroom Dome area. "Uh oh. I'm thirsty..." OOC: The Merc Shop letters are a little hard to read. Also, has Team D finished yet? | Dm quickly gives the shop kepper his money and then hurries down to the arena to see the fight with barney and the koopas following him close after. He then remembers something! Dm: You guys can go donw there before me i have something i gotta check. He hurries to the entrance of the dome and asks if anyone have seen a gommba in a big kuribos shoe or a baseball guy. | OOC: OKAY, enough waiting! I'm very sorry it took so long, but I'm VERY nervous about this. I've never controlled someone else's character before, let alone 2 at once, and I'm afraid I might screw things up... so if I do anything wrong with their personalities, PM me right away and I'll edit. The way the battle will work is like this: I write half of it now, and the other half later. The catch is that halfway though, you get some opportunities to post the actions of yourself during the fight, which may actually influence the fight somehow, or things that happen after the fight. So... Here goes nothing... A Psi Warrior stands in the large, circular arena's center, with a microphone in his ether-coated right hand. He taps it and tries speaking into it... "This on, or what? How do you work this, anyhow? Testing, testing, woot, woot... There we go. Ladies and gentlemen, Koopas, Boos, Hammer Bros. and the like... The battle is about to begin! Behold! A huge hologram appears above the arena, a cylinder-shaped banner that rotates so all can see it.  "On the West Corner, led by a Bandit who has mastered the power of lightning and storm, we welcome Team Raiden!" The whole crowd cheers as Raiden enters the arena, followed by the two mercs that Fabio picked out and, to the huge surprise of a certain Boo in the audience, Glitter the Dayzee. Glitter, in fact, is waving like crazy to the whole crowd and blowing kisses, very excited to be in the ring. Raiden isn't quite THAT zealous, but you can tell he feels right at home in the ring... Battle is his way of life. The team marches to the center of the ring, where Schwa stands with the mic. "This is Raiden, the Thunder Bandit," Schwa announces, "and leader of Team Raiden. I must say, you have quite a team of allies with you... What are your thoughts on the upcoming match?" OOC: Here goes... *tenses up* Raiden takes the mic and speaks. "It's going to be rough, but not hard. A Bristle is never to be underestimated, though... The Glitz Pit's Poker Faces put up quite a challenge a long time ago, but I was alone back then, so..." "You were in the Glitz Pit?" "4 years straight. And after I beat this Tournament, I'm going back to take my rightful place as Champion. Look for me!" Glitter is jumping up and down excitedly by now, so Schwa goes over. "That's awesome, Raiden! So, you over here are Glitter... You looked pumped, to say the least. What are YOUR thoughts?" Glitter grabs the mic. "I'm gonna totally win this! I'll sing my opponents to sleep, then dance them into oblivion!" "So you can dance, eh?" "Better than you, anyway! Why do you wear a black blindfold, huh? Huh?" Schwa quickly gets back to the center of the ring. "Oookay, we're gonna move on! And on the East Corner, an ancient warrior who shall never let the foe take what belongs to his homeland... Give it up for Team Twister!!" The crowd roars again as a blue Bristle, named Twister, half-walks half-hops up to the center of the ring. He is alone, and has no allies at all. "Why, Twister, you sure are brave to take on four foes singlehandedly," Schwa comments. "Care to share?" In a slatey, gravelly voice, Twister says into the mic, "A real warrior knows the power of an alliance. I am not alone." Just then, the two allies MM managed to buy at the last second run from the dugout into the arena. They're both supposed to be snifits, but since there were only two in the Merc Shop and one of them is in Team Raiden, it's kind of surprising to see a third one... especially because one of the Snifits is taller and awkward... MM or Peardian might notice that something is a little different about that Snifit. "Aha! You DO have allies! Snifits are powerful, aren't they? Let's talk to them." Schwa goes to the awkward Snifit. "You! What are your thoughts on the battle?" "Well, we're all ready to kick some arse! I AM a Snifit, you know! Yup, that's totally me! A Snifit!" The other one rolls his eyes, but nobody notices. "Let's get this battle started, shall we? Teams, take your positions on the colored X's." Team Raiden and Team Twister move back and stand on the red and blue X's respectively, and tense up, preparing for the battle. "Get yourselves ready TO... BATTLE!!" OOC: Music by Blue_Nocturne "It is our duty to defeat you," Twister suddenly says. "You shall NOT procede." "We'll see!" Raiden replies. "Nothing's stopping me from avenging my last fall!" Team Raiden attacks! Raiden forms a ball of lightning in his hands and lets it fly, the Hammer Bro immediately lobs a hammer towards Twister, and the Snifit lets loose a machine-gun flurry of bullets. The thunderball slams into Twister, who bounces back a small bit but doesn't seem to flinch. The hammer slams into Twister, but being made of stone he's resistant to physical attacks and the projectile is deadened, falling to the ground. The bullets just bounce off, not affecting him at all. Glitter is kneeling and concentrating... She may be charging up energy. Meanwhile, Twister was focusing for an attack the whole time, and after being attacked by Team Raiden, he begins spinning real fast, making the sound of a buzzaw, as a whirlwind whips up around him. He sends it at Raiden, at the same time shooting himself into the air. The tornado projectile curves slightly right and around, and is hard to track, so when Raiden tries dodging to the left, the tornado comes too close and floors Raiden. Now the two Snifits behind Twister run in and attack. The normal one lets loose a barrage of bullets at Raiden, and the awkward one attempts a crushing jump-chop attack on the floored Raiden. The bullets hit, each doing low damage, but Raiden rolls out of the way of the chop and springs to his feet. With a thrust of each arm, Raiden emits two high-powered thunderbolts and lets them fly into the Snifits, sending them backward, slightly damaged. Meanwhile, Twister himself, who had flown into the air from his own tornado, glides back down at an angle in an attempt to crash into Raiden with his spikes. "You'll regret this!" Raiden exclaims, ready to perform his special Bandit tech on Twister to swipe his Zap Tap badge. He gets ready as Twister flies down, and at the last second he shoulder-barges at the foe in a unique way that'll knock items, coins, and/or badges from the target! But he forgets about Zap Tap's effect. Even though he avoided Twister's spikes, he didn't avoid the lightning discharge. Being a Thunder Bandit, though, he took almost no damage, but the aura was enough to deaden the barge and cause the thief-ability to fail. Twister lands right next to Raiden. "Arrow Thrust," he mentions, turning sideways as his spiked arms extend as quick as ever in an attempt to spear Raiden with heavy force. Raiden, quick and lightfooted, manages to sense the attack coming and twist out of the way, but the speed of the spear attack is FAST, and it nails Raiden lightly in the right arm. Immediately Raiden jumps back a little and strikes with three consecutive thunderbolts from the palms, which all strike the low-mobility Twister's stone body, sending sparks flying. But Twister is a tank... and will NOT show any signs of weakening, even if he is damaged by the attacks. Meanwhile, the Snifit from either side are both going at it with each-other, sending bullets at each-other in a special manner known as Snifit Fencing, which is an attempt to deflect the other guy's bullets with one's own bullets. It's very fast-paced and both Snifits manage to hit home several times with their shots. The awkward Snifit is going at it with the Hammer Bro, who's lobbing many hammer into the air, now three at a time, but the weird Snifit keeps trying to attack physically and close range. This annoys the Hammer Bro. "C'mon, are you too scared to do what you're best known for?" "I, uh, I got a cold!" *cough cough* The Hammer Bro shrugs at the audience, and they continue the fighting. The Snifit (if it even is one) is getting more hits on the Hammer Bro than he's getting hit by the other guy, though. And everyone, save an audience member named Poncho, has pretty much forgotten about Glitter, who now stands up and attack. "SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!" She lets loose with her Siren of Stun! The two Snifits on Team Twister suddenly grab their heads and fall over, paralyzed for a while, but all that happens to Twister is a slight drop in Defense. With the ability to saty calm under pressure, a little noise isn't stopping THIS Bristle! He begins spinning again, and an orb of air appears around him, which immediately breaks apart into a whole lot of small tornadoes (like AirMan's attack from MM2), which fly and curve towards Raiden quickly. Raiden focuses, and attempts to dodge them all with some special dance, but with Twister spinning like this, air is being generated, throwing Raiden off balance. He can't dodge more than half of the air blasts, and each hit he takes does low damage, but it's adding up. "Indeed, Peardian's strategy is most effective," Twister comments. Raiden gets off the ground. "Whoa! Nice attack! Guess I better turn up the voltage..." "You, too, are a formidable opponent," Twister adds. Raiden is preparing to use the Ruby Vial on himself, which will dramatically up his Attack power for a while... All teams have a small amount of time for activity before the battle continues. OOC: Whew! Okayokay... Did I do a good job so far? The battle's halfway over, and it'll continue in a while, so post while you can. |
