Yeah, sprite buoyancy. Urchins don't use it, so that was why they didn't fall. The fish however, did. Check the sprite buoyancy, and as long as one of the two is checked, it should work.

For the volcano, put the lava on layer one, the level on layer 2, and use the layer 2 falls sprite. Layer 2 will fall downwards, simulating that the lava is rising! No sprites though

Through the dim haze, The two shadows mvoed silently, the first moving around to behind William, While the second jumped at the flare, and proceeded to destroy it, rendering the room in near-darkness again. However, in doing so the form revealed itself in the light, revealing it to be a Sneaker!

Wow, nice killing scene. Did anyone else notice the blocks with DIE one them? Awsome title screen border, but proper grammar would be "PANIC in the Mushroom Kingdom".

I've been working on a particular block for use in an SMW hack, but the ASM for it seems to crash all the time, or do nothing. I wrote it in hex, working off of the "1 way left" block.

The original block bytecode:

AF 76 00 7E F0 07 A0 30 8C 93 A6 A0 01 69

That code works, here's the code with my additions:

08 AD AF 14 C9 00 F0 10 EA 28 AF 76 20 7E F0 07 A0 30 8C 93 16 A0 01 60 28 60

Basically, what it's supposed to do is check the on/off register, and then execute then code when the register is in the OFF state, or $00, making it an ON/OFF controlled 1 way left block. The PHP and PLP instructions are used since the original code seems to use the register state from previous code before the block's, so I used that to keep it. I've been going over this repeatedly, and with every change I make, the block either crashes the gameor does nothing.

Cool! I finished some HDMA effects that I'd been working on, and got around to packaging them up. What this package does is when used correctly, it causes one portion of a background to stay still, while the other portion rises and falls. everything you need for the HDMA to work (except the ROM ) is inside. So, have at it!

Their punches connecting, the two mario instantly changed their attack plan, one spinning around and tossing the other at Fabio, but not right at him, where he was going, leading him a bit. After that, the first Mario clasped his hands together.

"Wahoooo!!!!"

The second mario flew right at fabio with a haymaker puch.

erm, the code overwriting Y isn't mine. It's whoever wrote the block's code. My code only adds the PHP/PLP instructions because the other code uses the processer status from before the block runs

actually, the game adjusts all palettes on layer 2 in a certain tileset, use one of the other undergound tilesets (Ther's 3), that will fix tour problem.
