| Awsome work MikeyK, I'm glad I saw this demo. My suggestion for the ice and water levels glitch is to load the current values for those settings into RAM, and then while mario is in the pipe set it so the game acts like a regular level, then restore the settings when mario exits the pipe. | |||

| Looks like I'm in with hhallahh, because I think that the palette just needs a few minor adjustments. Anyways, try to do a little more work on your GFX, use different pallettes for the different layers, and yeah, this hack could become better. @BM: I don't give a shit about your shit. |

| Eh, probably when I was building this computer at a university summer course. My mobo had been in use by someone else the day before, and had been miswired (No idea why he put the power connecter in wrong, or how for that matter). Plugged it in and BANG! Sparks everywhere, dead mobo. Next day, I had another bad mobo that didn't boot. What did I do? went to a guy with 3 mobos and asked for one. he gave me *surprise*, the mobo that had sparked. I took it back, hooked it up and it booted perfectly. Guy came over and bugged out. He told me what happened and I bugged out too. Kinda funny and surreal, but that's what happened. BTW, I'm typing this post on that same mobo. |

| OK, one thing is that SMRPG seems to use the same screen mode as SMW, since the other 8 palettes are going to be used for the sprite layer. This means that each Map16 tile is 128 bytes big, right? My only other question is this- I'm guessing that the tileset decides the MAP16 page(s) selected for use, so if we could decode that, what else is there to do before you could put together a program that could edit the levels themselves? Tilesets may actusally be referred to as "MAP16 Page" sets, If I understand you right. EDIT: Hey, here's something for everyone involved in this project:  It's a bit big, but that's what you get for using paint. If you want it please DL it and host it on your own site, thx.
