That could be a problem, because I'm using DHCP with the router, but both the router and the WinXP comp have the same IP.

EDIT: whoops. read the wrong one. the WinXP comp uses IP address 192.168.1.100, and the router 192.168.1.1

I'm using one of the custom.zip ones, which uses MAP16++.ips. I've already patched it, and am using the "fire map16++" block (map16s.bin), for mario's switches. I've got the map16 tile at 4E3. I've also tried using the tile on the last page, but no go. Afterwards, I'm going to use map16sx.bin to be manipulated by the duboar sprite.
EDIT: Fu, if you ever see this, is there a way I could fix this glitch? I only need the code to work for blocks 400-4FF, none of the others.

Losing his sword, Snipes rolled out of the way of the shots, and pulled out both of his pistol and begane firing rapidly while strafing Gray.

"Give that back, you fiend!"

ooc: 1 turn until blade charged. It has started to float out of you hands on it's own. 2 turns and my backup generators will be charged.

yep, I released and renewed the IP, but how do you change the subnet? guess I should have a little look... Ah, damn. I'll have to do it later, because I can't do it from my account, only my mom's.

ooc: OK, you'd said you wanted more characters, so...

That night, Snipes had been sitting on his front porch, relaxing and enjoying a rare night to himself. Looking up at the sound of a buzz, he saw the beam of light.

"Oh, no. What is it going to be this time?!"

Irked, Snipes got ujp and walked inside, where he grabbed his weapons and a few med-packs for if he needed them. Snipes didn't use them much, but had a feeling abou this time. Activating his repulsors, Snipes jetted off towards the beam, even as it was fading out of site, as Snipeshad logged the co-ordinates into his computerized subconcious.

"And it had to be on a clear night. perrrrrrrfecttttttttt."

As Snipes got closer to the Island, the sky clouded over, and lightning began to crackle in the distance. Just before he could land at the island, suddenly Snipes was hit by a bolt of lightning. Losing his concentration, Snipes barreled downwards towards a small set of islands a few hundred yards away from the main island where the beam had originated. upon hitting the ground, Snipes lost conciousness.

EDIT: WTF? Zerodius' post and my edit were erased just a few seconds ago. Odd...

OK, did a little search, and the SA-1 is simply a 65c816 proc running at a higher speed with a new name. To quote: "The SA-1 is a 65816 chip, although at a higher clock then the SNES's internal one".

EDIT: Some more, too!

"SA-1 65c816 8/16-bit processor, clocked at 10MHz. It contains some extra circuits developed by Nintendo, which includes some fast RAM, a memory mapper, DMA, several real-time timers, and the region lockout chip. The SA-1 was a multipurpose chip that could be found in games such as Kirby Superstars, Kirby Dreamland 3, and Super Mario RPG."

None I could find, but I'll look again. Also, as an Idea I figure that the 65816 must send instrucitons to the SA-1, but they will probably be in the first part of the ROM, so try using geigers debugger or whatever, and try also compiling a version like Fu did, except to trace the SA-1. At any rate, I'll go look now.

EDIT: Well, shit. I can't find anything on google, so my next trip is to the ZSNES boards. I'll be back with some news tomorrow, if I can get on tonight.

Snipes Rolled out of the way of the sonic booms, continually firing his pistols at David. Picking up his sword, Snipes Front-flipped, landing and bouncing off of one hand towards David, at which Snipes began Attacking him relentlessly, but in a controlled fashion, not intending to let David get away and regroup.

"Where are you going?"

ooc: my sword is charged, and can disintegreate matter for 3 turns. 1 turn and my backup reactors are at full power.

OK, so with your logs, and if need be anything that gets posted at the ZSNES boards, we should be on our way to being able to decipher what goes on in the SA-1 and what goes on in the 65c816, right? It would figure that the two have slightly different opcode lists and access limits and all, so... yeah.

Anyways, Sprite mapping = where they are spawned at, right?

Anything else you guys might need that I could try to get at the ZSNES boards?

EDIT: You notes are cryptic to me, but I think I have an idea of how the sprite mapping work, location wise. I'll link to a 16-color bmp.

I hope it is right, but at least it is somthing to work off of, even if it is cryptic.

Snipes was incredulous, and took the hit full-on, but not before dropping a grenade behind David, his arm obscured the the dust that was kicked up from the blast. Sprawling on the floor, Snipes had a few comments to make.

"Since when was there more than one reploid here? I though I was the only one. Huh. Least i'm not maverick, you don't need to worry about that."

Snipes Stood up, and faced David. Behind David, The second plasma grenade was ready to explode.

"Look out, genius."

ooc: Sword charged, two turns left. Backup reactors charged.
