I seem to be having a hard time with arranging the things in it. Yes, I am a nooby to ROM hacking, and I dont know hex editing, or any of that good stuff. Bu I found a program that allows you (so it says) to re-arrange dungeons and things in the Zelda game itself. It also lets you change the text, but even changing the text to fit the game seems to be a bit difficult.

The program I am using to "rearrange" dungeons is called Zeldait. This file is ok, but kind of confusing (doesnt look like it flows to me). Its not what I was hopeing for though. I was thinking of something like Hyrule Magic, except not as big. Where I can re-arrange and add/delete ANYTHING in that room (or square as I call it).

An overworld tool I found called Zelda Tech, seems to work pretty darn good. Though I havent practiced with it much.

To make a long story short, I want a program where I can edit the levels (dungeons) and which levels you get items. I want to make completely new (redesigned) dungeons, without the knowledge of hex editing and all that good stuff.

Any help?

Thanks for thr info.

Though, I'm not really looking for too much o an over haul. I dunno really. Just wanted to remake the dungeons for new game play. It would pretty much be for personal entertainment.

I got those 2 programs from zophar.net, and Google search didnt exactly help me. Thanks though.

I'd really like to learn Hex editing. I've tried to get started with learning it before, but most tutorials are insanely long and confusing (ie you need to know the basics of hex editing already), or there are the short tutorials which were a waste of time to look for and that dont go into much detail.

I suppose I could always buy a book about Hex editing. I'm sure the Barnes and Nobles not far from my house would have something on it. But it seems like a waste of money and time to learn something that may not be used much. If I knew hardcore Hex editing, could I do this stuff easier and completely emake games?

Hey I like it! Made it to level 4, then lost my last life. Pretty fun, seeing as I usually dont try out many SMB3 hacks. Maybe I should try more out.

I saw no problems with it either, of course I'm no professional. Still looks good though. I wish I had a controller of some kind to hook into my computer so I could it to play ROMs. I dont seem to be very good with my arrow keys and such

I can't find one anywhere. However, I am looking for it because I was going to try and see what I can do with it. Add/remove an emeny there, maybe try and add new sprites, ect.

Nothing huge, but I actually wanted to fool around with it. Thanks.

P.S - I dunno if I am supposed to ask for ROMs here, but I didn't know where else to put this.

Oh, alright.

Well I am new here. And I don't recall seeing anything about asking for ROMs, but ok, sorry.

Please note I did try looking. Some may think I just posted here cause I didnt feel like looking. I went to atleast 15 different ROM sites (and searched google), but I either didn't find it or it wasn't downloadable. Thanks though, and close this topic if you need .

Well if we can put aside the sarcasim for a moment, I in-fact DID look at the FAQ (even the Terms and Agreements). I must have over looked it. Again, sorry to waste board space and everyone time .

I was looking around for a place to post about ROM cheating. Not hacking, but cheating.

I am testing someting for a friend, but in order to do so I need to be farther along in the game. The game is Zelda DX. To make a long story short I need a save state editor for a certain type of save state.

The save state is in .ss0 (and .ss1, .ss2, ect.) . I've google searched, looked around these forums, and visited Zophar's Domain. Nothing. There may not be an editor that will edit these type of save states, but I still needed to ask.

I dont usually ceat on games, but for this one I need.

P.S - If you know of a Game Boy color Emulator who's save states has an editor, please post a link.

For any of you who have and know how to use one, I need help.

I have put game saves onto the 8mb memory card that came with the pack. However, whenever I play the game (with the 8mb card in my controller), I cant freakin get the save state to open. In fact, I dont even know HOW to open the save state.

I must be doing something completely wrong. Because I thought the Power Saves I put on the card, were actually saves from other peoples games.

Example: I put a powersave for GTA: Vice City for the game to be 100% completed. However, I made a new game and this did not work. I also continued a previously saved game I had already started, and this did not work.

How can I fix this and what am I doing wrong. Please help.

Well I (kind of) tried that. See, I go to the Memory card (without any game in the Xbox) under the 'Memory' menu.

Welp, I can select the Power Save, but my only option is to 'Delete' it. There is no 'Transfer' or 'Move' button to select.

This is making me terribly mad, because I am doing everything right, but I dunno how to load the saves onto my Xbox/games.

I downloaded Pokemon Blue for fun. I figured I'd get a save state ediotr and play around with it.

Welp, I found a save state editor... but it doesnt specify which kind of save states it can edit. I have tried the following GameBoy Emulators, and each save state wouldnt edit correctly:

BgB (thats all its called... LoL)
KiGB (again... all its called)

My save state editor is called Pokemon_US_Editor, which I obtained off of Zophar's Domain here: http://www.zophar.net/utilities/gbcheat.html

So any help would be greatly appreciated. That, or just another save state ediotr would also do. Sorry for any trouble I may cause LoL.

So how might I go about opening on of these 'battery' files? You'll have to excuse me. I know very very little (if anything at all) knowledge of all this stuff. I most come to these boards to look at other peoples hacks, ect.

I just wanted to fool around a bit on it. But from the sound, it's a lot more complicated then it looks. If you dont mind, can you explain how I could possibly get it to work?

I, Zibl, have been working on a Dragonballz MMORPG using the BYOND Dream Maker hub, and it is now nearing completion. This version includes a complete overhaul of the Beta testing version of this game hat I hosted not long ago (which I didn't host here) including new objects, turfs, mobs, and maps! The games core function was my hardest challenge, one on which I needed a bit of help from a friend . Here is the games completion percentages as of now:

Core Function - 100%
Base Coding - 100%
Game Enforcers/GMs - 100%
Dragonball Functionality - 100%
Techniques Functionality & Graphics - 100%
Transformation Graphics & Coding - 90% (SSJ4 has yet to be made and coded into the game. I'm working on it, but I'm in no rush considering nobody should hit SSJ4 for quite a while)
Turf Development - 95% (Everything but some minor turfs are done, example being Kami's Lookout floor turf)
Object/Icon Graphics - 100%
Other World/Snake Way Mapping - 65% (This won't take long to complete. The only reason it isn't done yet is because it isn't a top priority)
King Kais Planet Mapping - 100%
Kami's Lookout - 68% (Again, this will take no time as soon as I complete the flooring turf for the Lookout)
Earth Mapping - 85% (The mapping is all but complete. The objects however aren't all in place as of now)

That is basicly it. If I had to give an overall percentage, I'd say I'm 90% done with the entire game. But enough of all the boring stuff. Here are a few screenshots I've compiled, along with a breif description on each one:

(The last picture has no description, my fault. It is a picture of all the Techniques in the game. The other tabs are self-explanitory except the GM tab which nobody will have except me LoL)

That's all for now. Hopefully you have read and enjoyed my post, especially the pictures. My only worry is that I don't know how to host the dern thing (so you all can connect to the same game), but hopefully I'll figure that out soon after I complete it. All replies and CC are welcome!

Bye for now ~ Zibl

Thanks very much. I just hope people join in the game and play it. The thing about this game, is that it isn't a huge adventure game like some may think. You basicly just train and train, getting as powerful as possible. The other half of the game is based on pointless killing .

The thing that might be a bit difficult, is getting allt he Dragonballs. Finding them all might not be the problem, but lets say you have all but 1 of them. Wheres the other? Uh-oh... the level 500 super sayian has it and there's basicly no way you have a chance to kill him for it considering you're level 300 . See what I mean?

I think it'll work out good though. When I beta tested it about a month or so ago, it was almost a completly different game (he look and feel of it). But by simply changing a lot of the graphics and some minor coding, I've revamped most of the gameplay. This game was close to not even having Dragonballs in it, because the coding for the dragonballs was a bit tricky (for me anyways ^^;;.

I'm amazed actually of the things hat have changed throughout development. In early planning stages, I was only planning about 5 to 10 different techniques, and making Super Sayian the only transformation (if you were a sayian of course). But I got luckly with a bunch of help and especially some Icon ceaters.

Enough of my babble though. Thanks for replying!

An RPG would be very awesome. But it also could be done, if you think about it. You have Link as your main character, but you also pick up other party members later in the game (maybe a Goron based character, Zora based character, Sheika based, ect), Mario RPG and/or Crono Trigger.

With all the different "races" in Zelda, an RPG could easily be done as far as a party system would go (i.e. 3 or 4 playable characters).

Well, its like I said, at one time I was hosting a Beta version of this game. I hosted it about a week, but it was solely for testing purposes and any bugs people may find.

That was a month ago. I took the Beta version I hosted, and became mass working on it again. What I'm trying to say is I never had a Beta version, and the real version... it was all the same game. Does that make any sense?

But long story short is no, I don't have a version you can play until the entire game is finished and Version 1.0 is released. Besides, somebody hosted it for me because I dont know how to host games, so even if I did have a version for you guys to try I couldnt host it .

Since this post, I have cut coding time down drastically... meaning I work on this game about 1/4 of the time I was putting in.

In the middle of development, I was known for coding 2 to 3 hours a day. Might not sound like much, but it gets very confusing/frustrating when working with all that coding for long periods at a time. More often than not I would burn myself out on a single day, and then just not work on it at all the next day. This is one of the reason's it took me about 2 months to make this game .

But to answer your question, I'm not sure. I'm coding about 30 minutes a day now, and at this rate I'm probably looking at 2 weeks if I code a bit more on the weekends.

Keep in mind I have a busy schedual. School, Football practice, dinner/homework, and I don't have much time to spend on the computer. To add to that, the long hours I put in doing other stuff, I usually don't have a desire to even get on the computer (much less do a bunch of coding).

All I can ask is that you be patient and not to give up on me. The game will come in due time, but I can't rush it.
