| The black hole spell continued to grow in power, but would only last for another two turns. Kyle remained on the ground, still unable to do much other than continue to strengthen the black hole - a risky test of control, as he had to conserve his own power to remain awake. He also had to be careful to hold his own position - being pulled into the spell would trap one in the center and quickly drain their stamina until they fainted. The spell wasn't strong enough to kill, though. Kyle noticed the movement of Nino's fire, and realized that she was trying to push Tuxydon into the black hole. Kyle floated one of his discs below him, so if he was knocked down, he could grab on to it and stop his trajectory. |

| Kyle, stunned at the time, failed to avoid Xzavien's lightasaber attack, but the burn woke him up. Kyle: What? Who did that? Felt kinda like fire...but different... He looked around and saw nothing. Kyle did not perform the spell himself as a trick - it came from someone else. Slightly concerned, and now more alert, he readied himself to attack Xzavien again. Kyle: Ha, he's at range...perfect. He stood back as the two discs flew at Xzavien, now with their blades drawn, and continued their familiar routine of homing into him. |

| Cyberaptor, the velociraptor guardian of Cybercity, had just arrived on the planet Saanadag on a scouting mission. His computer lord, Profound Idea, noted that Cybercity was running low on memory, and that a new base would need to be constructed to up the capacity. The distance of the planet from Cybercity meant nothing to him, and the desolate place was actually a preferable location for a new base. But first, Cyberaptor had to make sure that there was no life on the planet... his computer picked up a signal coming from the grotto within minutes. Computer: Cyberaptor! I've got a signal due North-East, 512 meters. Cyberaptor, powered by his jetpack, moved in the direction of the signal and arrived at the other side of Mewquas in the square opening. A possible denisen? Computer: Organism identified as Irken, Cy. They are the scourge of the galaxy, taking all for themselves without care for others. They are very technologically advanced, and just as ruthless...but what can they be doing here? Is it possible we arrived on an Irken planet? Cyberaptor didn't think so - the planet would be much more...metallic...if the planet was owned by the Irken Empire. He had to learn what was going on. Computer: Alien! Identify yourself! | Sorry for the long reply...net problems. ---- Blue: Dangit, these things always have to happen, don't they. Look, sir, I'm sorry about the explosion, but - GAH!!! Blue Breegull was too busy talking to notice the hot beam of fire, which hit him and once again sent him flying against the wall. There was a splash of water as Blue activated one of his special water eggs, putting the fire out on himself. Blue unsteadily rose, once again blackened with soot. Blue: Oh, you'll pay for that one alright! You'll paaaay!!! Blue, now angered, charged at Jaques. At reaching a ten foot distance, he began spinning wildly toward him, wings drawn (a breegull is a type of large bird). This attack would deal minor damage with each strike of Blue's wings, but the small attacks would add up to deal a rather large amount. |

| Blue: ...I probably could do better than that, you're right. Blue nimbly side-stepped the rock projectile, and it crashed harmlessly into the field behind him. Blue: Now, leave me alone! I'm armed! Breegulls, male or female, have the uncanny ability to produce eggs out of their beaks. Strangely, these eggs can be used as weapons when 'shot' correctly. Blue shot two of his special nuclear eggs at Jaques, with a one-second pause in between the two. If Jaques got hit, there was a chance that he would be poisoned. |

| With his mana restored, Kyle floated back up off of the ground, but he was still quite beat up. Kyle: ...Okay, this is getting crazy here. Kyle floated his disc back to his side, hoping that the exposure to the black hole hadn't drained Tuxydon's energy too much. Kyle: Okay, here's my plan - we wait out the black hole behind a force field of mine, then charge once it wears out. What say you? Kyle created another force field around himself, and now Tuxydon. Doing this drained his mana incredibly fast, but having it restored to the max allowed him to accomplish this feat. If Tuxydon wanted, he could step out of the force field - things could exit it, though not enter. The black hole flickered for a moment - the spell was about to finish. |

| Computer: We're being scanned. Cyberaptor: Grck! Though the SIR unit may have learned that Cyberaptor was armed, it got something else that it probably didn't intend - upon scanning Cyberaptor, Computer inserted a virus into the SIR! Unless it could counter this very, VERY, powerful virus, it would go into a spasm of random actions. Cyberaptor eyed the Irken flag, then turned to his side of the grotto. An antenna popped out of the computer on his back, and then emmited a green beam that stopped a few feet from him. In a few seconds, another flag, this one with the symbol of Cybercity (a green disc on black), was errected on its own flagpole! Computer: We cannot allow you to claim this planet! Irk does not need another planet. This one will be ours! Cyberaptor's left claw transformed into a gun, which spontaneosly shot a barrage of bullets at Mewquas! |

| Kyle jumped - over jumped - out of the way of Xzavien's lightsaber, and crashed into one of the explosive floating orbs! The impact rocketed Kyle across the arena, and he once again caught himself just before he fell into the lava. At about the time the discs made their comback to Xzavien, Kyle leveled himself with his competitor again. Kyle: Ugh, I need to stay focused. I was doin' good before... He looked back at one of the explosive balls he hit, then slapped his forehead with a laugh. Kyle: Duh! Why didn't I think of this before? The discs stopped pestering Xzavien and returned to Kyle's side again. However, new weapons soon found their way to Kyle as well - five explosive balls floated to him from their places in the arena and circled him as well! Kyle was sure to keep them distanced from himself, unless one went off somehow. While still floating about halfway across the arena, Kyle launched the explosives at Xzavien, one by one! --- Spiky shook excitedly in his seat. Spiky: Ooh, this is the part of the fight where things start getting intense! Spaky: Are you actually enyjoying this? Spiky: You know, I think I might...am I well? |

| Blue: Whoah, he's fast...hold on a second - ! Blue turned around just in time to see the rock coming again. He ducked swiftly, and the rock brushed past the feather that stuck out of the top of his head. It had missed him by mere inches. Blue: So, you can levitate things, huh? That's a real good power, oh yes. But not as good as this! Some upbeat music, played by a banjo, started playing as Blue Breegull stuck his wings out in front of him, which then glowed gold. Blue was using his Wonderwing technique, which made him completely invincible and harmed any foe that he touched! Now reassured of his strength, he charged straight at Jaques. Blue: I hope he doesn't try to block this with a low kick... |

| No, don't worry, I play fair. Though he may be invincible, he can only do it for a very short time. Also, there is no guarantee that he hits his enemies. The best you could do during the time is keep away, or charge an attack, etc. It's more defensive than offensive. --- Blue Breegull noticed that he was running low on gold feathers, which he needed for using his Wonderwing attack. Blue: Meh, it's pointless wasting gold feathers on the likes of you. NOW DIE ALREADY! BLEEARG!!! A lever appeared out of thin air in front of Blue, which he immediately pulled backward. Blue: ANVIL SPELL!!! Suddenly, from out of the sky, and anvil plummeted dangerously toward Jaques! The damage dealt by the anvil would be large, not to mention the cuncussion could stun a foe. |

OOC: Sorry for the very delayed reply, I've had internet issues.  ----- Cyberaptor prepared to fly backward to avoid the sword attack with his jetpack, which was built into the computer on his back, but it did not activate. Cyberaptor was hit, and he jumped backward afterward to gain more distance from his foe. Cyberaptor: Graargh? Computer: No, of course we refilled fuel back in Cybercity! I'll see what is wrong with our equipment. Now the fight was closer to Cyberaptor's side of the court. The gun on his left claw turned back to normal, but immediately sprouted pink laser blades from the glove tips! The blades were 3 feet long, and placed over each of Cyberaptor's fingers to act as normal claws, but better. | Grrr...friggin' internet... ----- Kyle realised that something strange was going on inside of the black hole that he didn't intend, but he really didn't expect Stacice to be absorbing its power. After a few seconds, the black hole made its final pull...then exploded in energy. The wave didn't affect Tuxydon and Kyle, as they were guarded by the force field, and Kyle made an audible sigh of relief when the black hole died - sustaining the spell was really tiring to him. The field was covered by a thick layer of dust, making it impossible for Kyle to judge what happened Nino and Stacice. Kyle: ...Meh, they're both pretty tricky...I'd hate to lose after this display. Kyle decided to send in his two disc blades to be safe. They flew to where the black hole once was, and made violent movements to knock out anyone that got hit. Still, Kyle couldn't see what happened - the dust didn't allow it. Kyle: So, ready? |

| Blue: Yipe! Blue ran at the anvil and jumped on top of it, then sprung from that position to its other side, closer to Jaques. Blue: Okay, so projectiles are out...if it's not levitation...there must be invisible peope lifting the objects!!! Or something. All right, John, let's go! Blue was refering to Jaques when he said John. With one mighty backflip, he leapt to the other side of Jaques, so now Jaques was between Blue and the anvil! Blue hoped that the anvil would still track his location, and hit Jaques along the way. In case that didn't work, Blue prepared another attack. Blue: I've faught many tougher foes than you before! Just watch this! Blue pulled out an odd magic wand from behind him, and started twirling it in his talon. What would he do with it? |

| Kyle had been spinning the orbs around himself very fast, for added strength. As such, both of the orbs that Xzavien threw hit Kyle's final one, and both were set off at a safe distance from him. Still, the explosion blinded Kyle. Xzavien's downward move would have gone undetected by Kyle, but the mage already had Xzavien's battle strategy figured out. He instinctively moved to the side, avoiding harm. His temporary blindness went away. Kyle: Don't worry, I'm not going to die any time soon. And I'm definitely not going to lose! C'mon, I'm just getting started! Kyle was beginning to realize the potential that the battleground actually had. Kyle landed on a platform two squares away from Xzavien, and then waved his arms around in a circle, aimed sort of downwards, at the lava. Under Kyle's control, the lava below him swirled up, forming a vortex around his platform! The lava spun around the square for a quarter of a minute. Kyle's body was mostly blocked out of sight, but he allowed a small hole to form in front of his head. Kyle: Ooh, this stuff's hot, and I would NOT want to touch it. But you could still quit any time you want!!! He aimed his arms forward, and the lava flew at Xzavien in two streams - one on the left of him, and one on the right! |

| Kyle worried about Tuxydon's request. He had never thought of using his powers to speed things up, and to power a projectile to the speed of sound with no practice seemed like a sure fKitten Yiffer to him. Kyle: ...Sound speed, eh? I could...try... With Kyle's force field still up, the bullets Stacice shot didn't harm Tuxydon or Kyle. Still, the gravity mage gritted his teeth as each bullet struck their protective barrier - though Kyle was super-charged with mana, Stacice's attack was still a powerful one. Kyle: All right, let's get this over with! Kyle dispelled the force field to allow himself better concentration, and focused hard on Tuxydon's crossbow, waiting for him to fire again. He really had no idea whether the shots would be powered fast enough - that was yet to be seen... |

| Cyberaptor almost solely dependend on his jetpack for dodging projectiles. Being deprived of it at the time, however, Cyberaptor was struck by the square of doom, and rolled backward from the force of the blow. Computer: Genetic analysis complete on Irken foe! The enemy has a high susceptibility to water - the chemical compound H2O will eat through his skin like acid! Unless, of course, he has already found a defense...glue would help. Use your hose! Cyberaptor grinned in a way that only a velociraptor could as a metal pump shot out of the side of his pack and into his claw. With computer-like precision, he aimed the nozzle at Mewquas...and let loose a powerful jet of water! Computer: Irken scum! Abandon this planet! |

| Muahahaha! Soon I will be starting my very own RPG in the Story Forum, but this is the opening scene. You can expect the RPG to start right after this battle. Anyone is welcome to fight here, though I would really prefer that it be someone...eh...descriptive? in their posts. You know, someone who takes battling/story-telling seriously. The character you use in this battle may become important to the storyline, and gain a good advantage in the RPG, if you so choose. Normal rules apply for this battle, and only one person need participate. Yeah... Now, commence! --- Another night setting. Full moon, few clouds, starry sky - the ideal night scene. Across this sky glided an airship, a rather primitive cross between an old galleon and a zeppelin, and its ruthless passengers would see combat before the moon set. This ship was the Basilisk, owned and flown by one of the most feared pirate in all the land: Captain Atlas Jackson. Jackson was the spitting image of a murderous air-pirate. He donned heavy, gray boots, to match his weather-beaten charcoal pants, which was separated from his torn dark gray overcoat and chain mail by his thick brown utility belt, which held numerous weapons as did the other belt slung over his shoulder. He was always armed, no matter where he went. He also had heavy shoulder pads, an eye patch, and even a robotic left hand, though it was impossible to tell under his large, silver gloves. Wherever his skin showed, it was covered with the scars of countless battles. Now, few dared to contend with him, but those who did seldom even lived to regret their actions. The captain paced around his private quarters, which were in the geometric dome that was the head of the airship. In his pacing he repeatedly ran through his mind the exact words that he had read in a scroll he had plundered from a town nearly a week ago. According to it, the coordinance for a great treasure, apparently the largest ever gathered by mortal or immortal alike, lay in an old mine but another 20 miles ahead of him! It seemed too easy, but he had years of evidence along with the scroll to provide support for the legend. The clues leading to it had also been hidden secretly enough, so there had to be something there. He thoughtfully stroked his enormous hybrid serpent, which was wrapped around a fake branch by a window, as he considered sending in some of his lesser troops to inspect the mine, incase the place was booby-trapped. --- The Basilisk airship soon arrived next to a large mesa in the middle of some barren dirt fields, and silently glided to a stop. On cue, many ropes were flung from the deck, and 20 men slid down them, led by Jackson. They formed a circle around the entrance to the mine - a small, mundane wooden doorway that lead into the dark cave. It was certainly an unlikely place to host an incredible treasure horde... Jackson's first mate, Roland, doubtfully eyed his captain. Roland: You sure this is the place? Jackson returned the gaze, a thousand times more menacing. Jackson: It had better be, or a whole town and our marvelous efforts were spent for nothing. Roland: Eh, right. C'mon, chaps, let's get in there! Scot, lead your team into the mine! Five of the pirates obediently ran into the cave. For several minutes, the crew waited outside, but was again greeted by the troop. The cave was reportedly empty, save for an odd statue deep inside. | Jackson stared confusedly at the odd creature that had appeared behind him. Jackson: ...What in blazes? The rest of the crew, which was stationed around the entrance and behind Phantron, murmured amongst themselves in confusion and irritation. Several of them questioned out loud, "Is it the treasure?" or "Does it guard the chamber?", but their momentary confusion soon turned to aggressiveness. Jackson took a step toward Phantron. Jackson: Yes, fate does indeed hold you out of its favor. Now speak up, immediately, or feel my blade! What are you doing here? His hand moved slowly to his side, under his cloak... |

| Kyle: Again, I saw that coming! Kyle was hoping that Xzavien would see the hole in the lava shield as a weakness, and had one of his discs (blades drawn) position right to the side of it, out of sight. As soon as Xzavien's hand came through, the disc countered every move, and returned the attack by swiping itself at his arm. Of course, we don't know if Xzavien drew his hand out quick enough to avoid harm. Kyle: You've got good instincts, and I know I probably would have made the same move as you, but you have to watch out for feints too. They'll getcha... The mage watched in somewhat of an awe as the lava also formed around Xzavien. He also tried to formulate a plan in his head, though he was running out of good tricks to pull. Suddenly, he remembered the attack he had planned earlier. Kyle: Oh yeah, I almost forgot! I've only used this once, and I loved the results. You probably won't, though. I'm going to wrap this up right now!!! His discs swirled around him again at super fast speeds while he charged another spell, but fate would have things another way...as Kyle focused on his target, another blue fireball struck him in the chest! Two of them were thrown at him, but the protective shield the discs formed cut one off. His concentration was broken, and he turned angrily toward the side of the arena, where he suspected the attack came from. There was a sudden flash, faster than an eye could blink, and then Kyle was facedown on his square, stunned once more! Someone didn't want him to win this battle... | Cyberaptor: Chargck? Computer: ... Cannot tell what he has charged. It's well hidden. Cyberaptor had no idea what to expect, so he went into the defensive. His cyberblades turned off, and the water pump retracted into his pack. At the same time, a small hatch opened on the side of his armor, and an odd jousting stick fell out. Cyberaptor swiftly caught it in his claw and twirled it in front of himself. The motion caused the stick to extend in length, and the ends glowed green and magenta, one color on each side. With one final twist, he pointed it at Mewquas, green end forward, and waited with one claw off to his side. Also, though it was hard to notice, the antenna on his pack unfolded and started swirling around, ready to react the moment an attack was detected. Computer: ... |
