| I've been watching industry trends for YEARS. You are all morons and fanboys when you assume that Nintendo won't sell characters. Nintendo will be sold. It will be sold for what it's worth, dirt. Nintendo is a weak corporate entity, its investors have low confidence. As companies like Tiger and Sony now try to break its only real hold on the industry they will eventually give up on it, like Square. EA would jump at the chance to get a lionshare in the Japanese market via Nintendo. They would love to be able to control the flow of some of the most beloved characters of all time. Sucks to the shitty profits that Nintendo hauls in, they can overcome that with their other divisions. And the MS-Nintendo thing, idiot, that was a rumour. Unfortunately, EA is more aggressive than MS in its treatment of workers and its current attempts at monopolization of the third-party industry. Here is the headlines: World owes Nintendo hand for creating genius business model After EA had purchased the flatering Nintendo corporation its large monetary muscle was flexed and brought the ailing company back to a forefront status against new comer Microsoft and long time rival Sony. This new Nintendo business model called stock-character acqusation has allowed for Nintendo to operate simultaneously on two fronts, third and first party. Through the use of EA funds to purchase Microsoft and Sony stock, Nintendo has effectively became the behind the scenes juggernaut of the industry. Guess what Kyouji, all your well wishing means nothing. EA abuses workers rights, and violates industry agreements on stock purchasing. It is throwing the parity of the industry to a mess due to its agressive stance. If you don't want to use your miniscule brain, don't, but if I see a thread whining and bitching about how Nintendo has failed because of its own shitty business model when it is eventually purchase...I'll just laugh. I will laugh at everyone who has ever supported Nintendo after the SNES, I will laugh at the people yelling at me, and what is more, I'll laugh at people who lost their livelihood by investing in a bad company. |

| Legion, we tried to help. We built him a steel bridge, and gave him warnings. Many of them. But he decided to take out a welding torch and just seperate it til' it fell. I was his friend, but he won't listen to us anymore. He has by all means snapped. We gave him the customary flaming band, and he came back fists swinging reacting to Kefka and knuck. Interestingly, if he would've ignored them, then the issue wouldn't have happened. Just like if Nebetsu would think before posting he wouldn't have more warnings than Hitler did about the imminent collapse of the "1000" year Reich and not get banned. I personally think that if he can present a good, articulate case for why he has been behaving this way, we could allow him back on the board and IRC. I think we can accept that for anyone who has been perma'd ever. If they can grandeloquently place their logic, it would be perfectly suitable. I have some ideas on board reform, but it would require a large concerted effort by not only the staff, but by the whole board. It would take months and really tax the staff-user relationship. It could very well be done, but the board itself would have to be willing to go in on it before we even start talking about a total reform. |

| Gavin, this community is really tightly knit. I have met some of these people in real life, and we exchange cards. I have spoken to some on the phone, and we are as close friends as people can get in real life. It is a unique one, I might add. As for me, I'm just bad luck with getting my shit together for my cards this year, like last year. They're coming, but there is always something that comes up  I have the letters written, the letters in the envelopes, and the envelopes in my desk. The postage up stairs, and the gifts in the envelopes too. There has just been bad luck. |

| The 6 volunteers could easily work with multiple people. The recidvism rate is actually less than locking them up for 25 years, as stated. And the expense of execution by all realistic standards outweighs the societal risk. And IMO these people are diseased, and really need help. Keep them in relative isolation and gradually introducing them to society will really, really help. |

My family is Ukrainian, so on Ukrainian Christmas (we're Roman rite Catholics, but still have some celebrations on those days), since I'm the alpha male of the family I basically get to drink the god drink and eat the god food (ancient Pagan custom that weasled its way into Ukrainian Ortho-Catholic rites).
