1) In the overworld editor, select the level you want to collapse in Layer 1 16x16 Editor Mode, and click the broken castle button (15th from the left), and choose the event to destroy the tile on. I assume you know how to set up events and such, so hopefully that makes sense 2) I think you'd have to use the palette editor, if you're talking about changing the colors of the level dots |

As hard as it probably will be for you, your best bet is to call the police, as Kwanzaa said. Your parents have some right to get angry at you for not doing too well in your classes, when they're paying for them, but there's no reason whatsoever they should start abusing you because of it Originally posted by firemaker There's pretty much two options you have right now: 1) Call the police. You say you wouldn't be able to stay in school, and you like it because it's an escape from your problems, but getting away from them for 6 or 7 hours a day isn't solving them. There's also a chance that this would show your parents that you're sick of what they're doing, and you won't tolerate it anymore 2) Leave things as they are, definitely the worst of the two choices. You could try standing up to your parents again, but chances are they'd just do the same things they did before You could explain what's happening to one of your friends, and see if they'd let you stay at their house for a couple days. With that, if you still don't feel comfortable about calling the police, you could talk to your friend's parents and see if they can make the call. About the suicide thing, your life is plenty worth living. You probably think it'll get you away from your parents, and that is true, but going by what you told us already, there's a good chance that they'd be happy to have you gone. I'm not saying that to be mean though. Killing yourself would just be running away from your problems, but you have to try your hardest to do something about them. I said this next part quite a bit to the person I talked about in my thread down a ways, and even though I don't know if it did anything or not, I'll say it to you as well. Don't ever give up. Nothing good comes from death. |

The calendar program is Rainlendar. I like it because you're able to set events and stuff like that on it, and when you log in, it'll pop up a box of sorts that tells you what events you've set that are taking place that day. It's quite handy, and free too It's skinnable as well, but I assume that would be a given, since almost everything else in my screenshot is skinned in some way. Now, wouldn't you know it, when I got on the computer today, I changed the look of it again , so here's a link to my updated desktop The WindowBlinds theme is Multipass Carbon, with a custom orange color added. Wallpaper is one simply called 'XBox', but it came in a package titled 'Dragoneyez Revised' or something. (edited by Karadur on 12-31-04 09:52 PM) (edited by Karadur on 12-31-04 11:49 PM) |

Thankfully, my parents know hardly anything about computers, outside of general use stuff such as typing in Word or going to a site on the internet. My brother and sister know some stuff, but if I want to get away with anything, I'm 99% sure they won't find out My Dad's the one that bought the computer, and he says he doesn't want any bad stuff being done on it, so I guess emulation in general would count as well. However, if he happens to walk by and see me playing something in ZSNES or similar, he'll either not say something, or ask if I've gotten anywhere on my game Also, being the only one in the house that has an Admin account on this computer, I can threaten to change my brother or sister's password if I don't want them doing something, but thankfully I haven't had to do that yet. In all, it's good to be the only one who knows a lot about computers and such |

Right. It's almost 11:30 right now, and everyone except me and my brother have gone to bed My parents went first, and my sister saw fit to call them wimps for not staying up 'till 12, then she goes to bed an hour or so after that Anyways, the evening hasn't been much different than others. Whatever party was supposed to take place never did, apparently. We got McDonalds for supper, then my parents went out to a friend's house, and came back around 10. I just finished watching a movie (Liar Liar) here, and that was fun to do, since I don't watch TV / Movies / whatever else a whole lot Now Adam (my brother) is in the living room playing Sonic Heroes, and I'm doing random stuff on the computer I do plan to stay up 'till 12, at least though |

As soon as I read 'Adult Link' I thought of... well... you know Then I remembered the rule about posting those sorts of links, and how you'd get a permaban if you did so. After that I noticed that 'Link' was capitalized, and thought of Zelda. Then I clicked on the thread link, read some of the replies, and saw that I was right. It isn't nearly April Fools yet |

To be perfectly honest, I haven't given a thought at all about that yet One I can think of off the top of my head though would be to get a job (no, I don't have one yet ) I'm sure I could think of others if I tried, but that's the main one there, and the rest will most likely be stuff that I'll end up breaking anyways. I have two guesses for the purple tunic question: :: The final Dark Link in the Palace of Four Swords :: The Garo Master from Majora's Mask (but Sonicandtails would get the point if this is right, since he guessed it first ) |

Good 2000 (or whatever the number is now) people dead isn't really something to be happy about. The URLs near the top of the PDF (www.godhatesfags.com, www. godhatesamerica.com) caught my eye. I thought God loved everyone. I think the first one should be www.akegreenhatesfags.com I would say interesting find, but it's not something that's incredibly interesting. More like, as Jesper sad, quite sad. |

Originally posted by s009 I think this is what Synneth Relmn was addressing. There's no way to copy text from a game to your computer, without first copying it down by hand onto a pad of paper or something What game are you trying to translate? If you've got a ROM of it, there could be a translation patch, but if it's the actual game cart or whatever Wonderswan uses, someone could have already made a translation of the game text and posted it somewhere on the internet. Don't let that get your hopes up too high though. There's no guarantees of whether something like that exists or not. (edited by Karadur on 01-02-05 04:09 PM) |

Usually chase said person around the house All the time we're running around, they'll most likely be saying 'sorry' repeatedly. By the time I catch them, I'll have either decided to forget about whatever they did that made me angry, or I'll have a thought about what would happen if I were to actually hit them. That doesn't mean that all times I've kept myself from hitting them That mostly only happens with my sister anyways. She can be very annoying when she wants to If I don't chase them around, I'll yell at them loudly, and that usually doesn't last very long, as most of the time someone else is in the room as well, and will tell me to shut up. Originally posted by Rebecca Daise That's actually a good idea. I tried using a vertical taskbar before but the fact that it was taking up more screen space than it was previously always bugged me. I never thought to set it on autohide I've changed my desktop yet again. Nothing really big though. I just made my taskbar double sized, so I could have all my shortcuts on one, and open programs on the other. I also shoved all my icons down into the bottom left hand corner, as you can see in the screenshot. So, the only things changed are: icon placement, Rainlendar skin, taskbar size. New desktop here. Once again, this probably won't be the last time I change it either Edit: That's Winamp down in the lower right of the taskbar. I'm using the skin 'Avalon' on it, with the default color theme. Well then, assuming you're just trying to get through the game, you could check gamefaqs or a similar site for a walkthrough That's probably the best option, because otherwise you have only two other choices to go by. 1) Copy the text from the game by hand, have a Japanese font installed on your computer, and use charmap to match up the characters with what you've got copied down. Type that out on your computer, of course. Take what you've typed up, and paste chunks of it into altavista's translator, or another translator site that you know of. Rely on that translation to get through the game. 2) Learn Japanese. Not to be mean, but that's honestly the only other way of going about reading what the game says. You could try to make a translation patch of your own, but that would require you to learn Japanese beforehand. You could try to find someone that knows Japanese, and would be willing to translate what the game says for you, but I don't know anyone that speaks the language in the first place, so it'd most likely be up to you there. |

If you want to install the extension, do what DarkSlaya said. To allow the site to install the extension, you have to go to Tools -> Options -> Web Features -> second 'Allow Sites' button, and add the site in there. It's up to you if you want to do that though. I was reading through the advantages / disadvantages on the site, and the last disadvantage really stood out: "Less maintenancibility by huge codes. Virtually, now no one can update TBE codes, excluding me. Its codes are like as entwined spaghetti. Many unknown bugs are maybe there, many known problems (with unknown reasons) too." The thing about many unknown bugs and many known problems without explanations really doesn't look good. If they can't be bothered to go through their code, and address whatever bugs are in there, I don't see how anyone could want to install it About them not knowing the causes of various problems, why would you even release a program / extension / whatever if you know it's potentially unsafe for people to use? I'll say it once again though, it's up to you. Holding Ctrl before you click a link isn't too hard though. Just press it with your little finger |
