Take it easy. Freaking out isn't going to do anything but make you more worried that you're not doing good enough. As long as you try your hardest and best, you shouldn't be constantly worried that it's not good enough It stands to reason that you're not the only one that's worried either. Just think about the other people that want the same position. They're probably pulling their hair out as well

As for what you wrote, let's see (what you wrote is bolded, for easier reading)

"Equal Opportunity benefits the workplace as staff feel valued and contribute to the best of their ability."

I think there should be a comma between workplace and as, so it would read "Equal Opportunity benefits the workplace, as staff feel valued..."

"I am familiar with the software (infraEnterprise)..."

I've never used that program, but shouldn't the 'i' in infra be capitalized? That may not be the case, because I have seen program names where the first letter of the word was lowercase Also, the fact that you have a word in brackets in that sentence, to me, doesn't look very good. Maybe something like this?:

"I am familiar with infraEnterprise, the software used by the DECS Customer Support Centre to record, track..."

Another thing that I noticed, is that the last two paragraphs of the second 'part' have quite a few instances of the word 'familiar' You might need to word some parts differently, but if you're able to cut the number back to 1 or 2, that'd look a lot better.

If you worry about this, and think that you're going to do bad, you most likely will. There's no guarantee to this, however, like the first thing I said, if you give your best effort, and have and think positively on how things will go, there's a good chance they will go how you want.

I seem to have forgotten a critical five words After the comma in my above post, add in, "that made a whining noise".

I have used CRT monitors before, but none of them have made whining noises.

Hopefully that clears things up

I hope there's nothing wrong with me doing this, but here's (removed) a link to a patch I just made from my copy of Super Demo World and an unmodified SMW ROM. I tried applying it to the unmodified ROM, and everything seemed to work fine. That file will only stay there for 7 days, I think, so I'll reupload it if you need me to

Edit: It should be noted that I did NOT use Lunar Expand on the unmodified ROM before I applied the patch available at that link. Just so you know

Once again, the problem with the link color, but I'm in the process of finding a new background that looks good

FuSoYa: Link removed... you just posted the equivalent of an entire ROM. The banks in DWTLC were all moved around, meaning your patch contains pretty much the whole ROM and could be applied to any old file to get a mostly working game. So please don't do that again.

I searched for 'RT-55J' on google, and apparently it's a boss from Megaman X

SM_Gamer's already given you a link to SMILE, which is the only editor I know of for Super Metroid, so hopefully you can do what you want to do with that

I won't say welcome to the board, since you've already been here for a fair bit of time However, it's good to see that you've finally decided to start posting, and hopefully you have fun here

I appreciate the fact that this is your first post, but if you can at all avoid it (which there's no reason you wouldn't be able to unless your keyboard was broken) please don't type your whole post in caps Also, there's no reason you should have bumped this thread. I don't think educating people on how the hack was done will happen soon, if at all. Making a hack look good, and having it be fun to play can be very time-consuming. Asking for a download link wasn't a very good idea either. Just by reading a few posts above yours, you'll be able to see there's no demo released yet

As for the pictures of the hack, I'm aware that this thread is pretty old, but they still look very nice I'm really looking forward to a demo of this, whenever you release one Nice work so far

I'm pretty sure you're joking, but I think that if someone didn't post after a week of being here, they'd just be 'marked' as inactive

If you do have to make 20 posts for whatever reason, that's only three a day Just keep that in mind

That looks quite interesting Are you able to shoot all 5 fireballs after you pick up just one flower? The reason I ask is because something like this came to mind: you pick up one flower, and you're able to shoot one fireball like you would normally. If you pick up another flower after that, you can shoot two fireballs in succession. If you pick up a third, you can then shoot three. If you pick up a fourth, well, you get the point by now

I think that's a neat idea, but I've got no idea of whether it'd be too difficult to implement in the game or not

If you really plan on releasing this before the new year, time's running short Only three more days

I can't say our two cats have weird names, but one of them's still quite unoriginal. We've got a black cat, and a grey cat. The black one's name is 'Tabby' (my sister named it) and interestingly enough, it's a tabby cat My Mom gave the grey one the name 'Smokey' Tabby is quite large (fat, not big), so most of the time, several other words will get prepended before 'Tabby'. Most of the time she'll get called 'Flabby Tabby'

The week starts on Sunday for me. Not because of any religion or anything, but just because it's what I've gotten used to over 20 years, and it'd be quite hard to start thinking differently now

As far as the JASON thing, after November comes December, which starts with a D, as we all know, so it would read 'JASOND' instead. The funny thing with this was that back in 7th or 8th grade in public school, there was someone in our class named Jason Dewale (I think that's how you spell his last name). It fits perfectly with that calendar thing I distinctly remember underlining that bit on a calendar that was on the chalkboard, and someone pointed it out as we were leaving class

I never noticed the WTF thing with the days of the week though. Interesting stuff, but there's not a whole lot you can do with it, besides point it out to other people

My guess would be that it was because of this new variant of the Santy worm, as Colleen said

This site has something about the text that appears on the pages, and your friend was right. Someone does have a grudge against Bush, and they're doing what they know of to get their point across. Unfortuantely, that means hacking sites, which obviously isn't good

It's quite obvious you're joking, but judging by the the things I've heard different people saying about Bush being President again and such, I imagine if he really said that, there'd be a handful of people that would try to get their sites hacked As far as the thing about being Secretary of Pretzels, well, I don't really like them anyways, so it doesn't matter to me

I'll take the guess that the reason your Gamecube would work properly that way was because it held the game disc in place. Sounds stupid, but think about it. When you try to take a game out of the Gamecube, it actually have to pull a bit on it, because it's held in place by the small metal balls. I don't own a PS2, but I have played games on one somewhere else, and when you're taking a game out there, it's just a lift it out and be on your way thing.

Now, I've got barely any knowledge of what the insides of the PS2 are like, but I assume the CD tray's pretty much like something you'd find on a computer. It makes sense for any game to run fine while the PS2's on it's side, because the CD's sitting flat on the thing that holds it in. I wonder if turning it up on it's end would cause the CD to slide off the holder thing a bit

I too have turned my Gamecube upside down, on it's side (only for a short period of time there), held it up facedown by the handle, while I was playing a game, and I didn't have any problems. The only time things have gone wrong for me was when I kept opening the lid while the game was trying to load

Wow. That's quite long for such a simple expanation

As for the thread topic, the only thing I can think of that would cause that is a dirty lens It's too bad your Dad won't let you try to fix it, but you could try what was suggested in the second post. Have a friend bring their PS2 over for 'repairs' and 'fix' it Only, I wouldn't advise that unless you really know what you're doing.

I don't really see what could be using it either I've had problems like that before, with different folders, but I was always able to delete them after I restarted the computer You could try downloading the file again, and with luck, Firefox would overwrite the file that's already on your desktop.

If that doesn't work, the only thing I can think of that would delete it would be to add this line to your autoexec.bat.

del c:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Desktop\[filename].exe

I know you're able to use that command on Windows 2000 or lower, but I'm not so sure about XP.

What? What does that mean in English?

Sounds like German.

I don't think it's German The definition of 'disembowel', taken from dictionary.com is as follows:

1. To remove the entrails from.
2. To deprive of meaning or substance.

Hopefully you understand what it means now

Here's mine I expanded the start menu for the heck of it I change the Windowblinds theme and wallpaper about once a week, so I'll try to remember to edit my post to show the new screenshot

All your desktops look nice as well Funny, that I have the same wallpaper as is in Dracoon's third screenshot, except without the 'Windows XP Dragon Edition' thing on it I also recognize the one in the fourth screenshot from a Bootskin I saw on wincustomize. It seems like you get your wallpapers from the same place I do

I took a look at the link, and it's just a flash game where you can drag letters around I really don't see the point of it, but I guess it could be entertaining for a couple minutes if you're bored

I did notice the thing in the bottom left that says 'Dragging along with [number] users'. Are you supposed to try to keep all of one color of letters in a corner of the screen, and not let anyone else drag them away or something? It could be somewhat entertaining if that's the case

I'll agree with that. I noticed non-posters have been 'removed' from the Ranks list (it now has a [number] inactive thing, if you haven't noticed yet). I would suggest something like 3 months of not posting to qualify for deletion It might not seem like a long time, but I think if someone's registered at the board, and not posted in three whole months, they've obviously forgotten about it

As far as the issue with the birthdays, that's something that caught my eye earlier on this morning I think that as soon as they're marked inactive, they wouldn't appear on the birthday list. It's interesting that most of them apparently turn 35 today as well

There's a possibility of some party going on tonight, but I'm still waiting to hear back from my friend to find out if he's going or not. Whether that takes place or not, the rest of this day (and night) will consist of me doing pretty much what I usually do Do stuff on the computer or play something on Gamecube.

It'll most likely be just the same as any other day for me
