Originally posted by Chaos Force Actually, maybe "preventing the door from slamming" really isn't a very good description of its function...what it actually does is slow the door down while it's closing. Originally posted by Chaos Force Hmmm. That would mean that the device would need to be a bit more lenient about how fast it lets the door close. (edited by Mutation on 12-11-04 06:03 AM) |

Split Mario/Join Mario Split Mario Powerup Icon: a picture of Mario with a vertical line through him Join Mario Powerup Icon: a picture of two Marios with arrows pointing at each other The "Split Mario" item will split Mario into two separate Marios; one will be on the foreground layer, and one will be on the background layer. They will both respond to the controls as if they were the same Mario. The "Join Mario" item will join both Marios into one Mario which will end up on whichever layer the "Join Mario" item was collected on. Mutated Mario Icon: green squirming blob This will cause Mario to turn green and grow eight giant insectoid legs from under his hat. He can use these legs to cling to ceilings; they also give him the ability to destroy enemies by hitting them directly from below. Is there a way to get NEmu64's video plugin to work with Project64? (The reason why I want to use it is because of texture transparency problems that have happened with Project64 but not NEmu64...) (edit: Never mind...someone please close this...) I think it's "Yoshies", because "Yoshis" would be pronounced either "Yoshiss" or "Yoshizz", neither of which sound right. And what's with the Pepto-Bismol option? |

Originally posted by Davis So, in other words, that mistake happens for the same reason why things like "!!!111" happen, right? (actually, that was my other theory on this) (edit: Come to think of it, wasn't there a keyboard available for the Japanese NES (or was it SNES?) that had separate "L" and "R" keys? I think it was called the "Family Basic Keyboard" or something to that effect.) Back on topic... I've found some unused code in the Mario Kart 64 ROM that refers to Luigi as "Luizi", Yoshi as "Yossy", and D.K. as "Donky", along with a couple of other odd driver names... |

A couple of things I've found in the original Zelda: "All of treasures" in the info that shows up if you wait long enough at the title screen. "Please look up the manual for details" also in that info. |

It looks like you can enter a thread with a blank title by pressing Tab over and over until you get to where its link should be and then pressing Enter...

It seems we've had several thread fads here within the past week... - "____ exposed" - "Do you hate me?" ...and I don't think those'll be the last ones. Do thread fads happen here all the time, or is this a rare occurrence? |

For some reason, some types of soda use a 1-liter bottle that takes a cap of the same size as the ones for the 20-oz. and 2-liter size, but other types of soda use a 1-liter bottle that takes a cap of a different size...can anyone here explain why?

Why do so many Zelda games say "Piece of Heart" when they should say "Heart Piece"? Even some of the newer ones I've played have this mistake. (edited by Mutation on 12-17-04 02:35 AM) |

Snowball Mario Icon: snowball This gives Mario the ability to throw small snowballs. Also, when on snow-covered slopes, he can transform into a large snowball that rolls downhill, getting bigger as it rolls over more snow, and doesn't stop until it hits a wall. Stone Mario Icon: stone This makes Mario very heavy, so he can't jump as high or as far, but slopes have a much greater effect on his speed. While in midair, he can transform into a stone that will crush any enemy it lands on; after it hits the ground, it will transform back into Mario. |
