It was just a joke by calling it "selling out". I really find the uber pea and those cartoons to be quite funny as well. Especially the one with the spam swords, luncheon meat trudgeons, etc. I forget what it's called.

I don't think I will be pleased by seeing Naruto on TV, because by then, it will be horribly dubbed by oh, I don't know... FUNIMATION perhaps?

Actually, Led Zeppelin wasn't really popular at all during the 70's. All the hype you hear about how big of an influence they were during the 70's is revisionist history. They became popular during the 80's because most of the 80's glam-rock and metal draws from Led Zeppelin as a major influence. Granted, I think they are an incredible band, but they were too heavy for the majority of people during the 70s.

I know that, but, I'm more or less talking about people today who listen to music from the 70's-80's who don't really focus on The Who, but other bands like Led Zeppelin. By the way, I am not saying that I don't like Led Zeppelin. In fact, I love their songs. But I believe that people should look beyond them sometimes when listening to some good rock.

Ziff: I thought I already talked to you about how much I despise Pink Floyd?

And how, pray tell, do you know that they don't?

Well, perhaps I worded that the wrong way. I meant to say that people who think that Led Zeppelin is the best band ever and don't really look at other bands like The Who should acknowledge them. I am by no means saying that all people who love Led Zeppelin do that. I know a lot of people who don't.

I really don't enjoy Pink Floyd(except for Another Brick in the Wall part 1's catchy sound) because of their "out of the ordinary" and thus good sound and feel to other people. I mean, yes, it is unique, but I'm sorry, their songs don't really get to me. There really isn't any depth to their songs in my opinion. Also, I feel I have to say the same about their film, The Wall, and their music videos. Once again, I'd like to say that's just my opinion.

I know that that's "all you get". But that's like if you don't count downloading anime. If you look around, I'm sure you can find Gundam X, Turn A Gundam, and other titles that are fansubbed.

I only like downloading anime because I(stressed) can have access to many titles that I want to see. However, I don't like it because EVERYONE ELSE gets it as well. And I personally don't like those who have like only anime on their HD's, not on DVDs/VHS.

Also, the size of a character's eyes show how emotional they are. And Dragonball and DBZ also adopt the well known characteristics of anime. Please, don't say anything unless you've seen both old and new anime, all genres, and all the different forms. Many a time have I seen in different anime people create THEIR OWN special things that make it THEIR anime (for example: the dragonfly flying through people's heads in City Hunter).

It really is quite obvious that you most of the anime you watch is what comes on TV.

And with that, I close this thread due to its nonsense. *closes*

Can I ask you a question?

Um, does the anime(on dvd, of course) in the U.S. the same DVD region as that in teh U.K.? If it is, why not import?

Thank ye. Thank ye. Well, it's been a long and also short 3 years. It may be hard to believe this, but I have been active ALL this time. It seems that I can't stop posting on a regular basis. Even when I was banned, I created multiple accounts to do so. The most fascinating part about it is that my amount of posts has never been really high. It's been fun and I hope to stay for some time longer.

I drink two glasses at the most(if you include the milk in my cereal). Apparently, along with 8 glasses of water, it is ideal to drink 4 glasses of milk per day.

Yea, that layout was awesome. But yea, Alucard didn't suit me well because EVERYONE was using it. I am planning on making a new layout or something sometime soon.

The problem with the U.S. government is that it does not know how to handle terrorism and the like. They think that the troubles will end if they kill the terrorists. History, my friends, has an awful way of repeating itself. I cannot believe that people have not looked at this with a logical standpoint. That is, wouldn't it be better to find out WHY there is so much civil unrest and do something about it? The only way Bush can win using his tactics, is to completely level out these countries so there is no resistance. Every time a bomb is dropped upon a city, people die; innocent civilians along with criminals. Then what happens? Well, it is likely that the innocent civilians(that are still alive) will hate us because of the attack. Then, they could, indeed, become terrorists. That's how it works, and it's not too hard to figure out.

The US did not do enough to help the Iraqi government. I'm sorry, but it's the truth; if you plan to free a nation and dethrone the dictator, it would be smart to have a plan on what to do afterwards. Tell me this, why would the Iraqis be totally willing to accept help from the US when the US just attacked them? Maybe because they fear that the US wants the country's resources? And doesn't care about it's people? I'm not saying that's true, but it's likely that that's what Iraqis are afraid of.

Izlude, no offense, but I really don't see how One Piece is repetitive. At all. In fact, it's quite the opposite. I would say it's HARDLY predictable; even though there's ALWAYS an adventure, the course of events NEVER occur the same way twice, and the formula is always different.

And sorry to sound rude, but is there anyone out there who started watching fullmetal alchemist because it sounded interesting, not because of what other people said? I mean, when I heard about it, the series hadn't even come out; there was an article in Newtype USA. So I was interested by the plot and downloaded a couple of episodes...then I got hooked and still am watching it.

Grey, you can stop your Champloo collection because it got cancelled. So, the only way to watch it would be to import DVDs from the US when it comes out.

Hell yea, Sweden rocks! How can you go wrong with awesome furniture(like that of Ikea),peace, and bands such as The Hives? I certainly would like to visit Sweden some day. Although, unfortunately, in all parts of the world, discord will always be found in some form.
