but see, if that's the case then you're not hearing all Pink Floyd has to offer. Take the time to listen to some of the bands first songsfor example, and you'll see that's simply not the case.

Well, perhaps I worded that the wrong way. I meant to say that people who think that Led Zeppelin is the best band ever and don't really look at other bands like The Who should acknowledge them. I am by no means saying that all people who love Led Zeppelin do that. I know a lot of people who don't.

I really don't enjoy Pink Floyd(except for Another Brick in the Wall part 1's catchy sound) because of their "out of the ordinary" and thus good sound and feel to other people. I mean, yes, it is unique, but I'm sorry, their songs don't really get to me. There really isn't any depth to their songs in my opinion. Also, I feel I have to say the same about their film, The Wall, and their music videos. Once again, I'd like to say that's just my opinion.

White Boy Music. I'm talking about Sugar Ray, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, and practically anything else you hear a MILLION times on the radio or could be on that latest Kidz Bop CD that could make you sweat blood because it's so asinine to listen to.

Underrated: Electronic music. Hardly ANYone listens to it and this genre has some originality to it. I'm not just saying this because it's my most favorite genre but really, it has originality.

Your heart is in the right place, but you are making very broad generalizations. It's just as possible to be original and intelligent and heartfelt with rap as it is to be stale and repetitive with electronic music. It's all about the individual artist.
Well yes, I did leave some things didn't I? Every genre has it's repititiveness and also, you gotta know WHO to listen to.

"Iron Maiden is almost unknown today"

HAHAHAHAHA. Your not serious right? Iron Maiden is probably the most known metal band ever. I mean besides Metallica but meh. I see Iron Maiden shirts at least twice a day everyday. Go out and ask any body whos in to metal and they will know them. I'm sorry but just because the youth and musicially challenged rather just listen to mainstream numetal doesn't mean everyone has forgotten about the good stuff.

In any case, I'm not all too fond of Iron Maiden. I wont deny the fact they wrote some legendary metal tracks or that they were talented musicians, I just never got attached to them like I did to so many other bands. (And before its asked, I own 5 of their CDs so I am experinced in their music).

And for the record. I AM NOT calling Iron Maiden overrated.

You don't live in the real world do you? It is known by name, but ask someone to name a song other than Number of the Beast. They freeze up. They might say one of their big songs, but, even then they don't really know them. This is within metal circles, which I'm involved in. Trust me on this
