You could always put both, but a trigger editor would probably be better. I prefer scripting myself, but I can probably get alot more done with something like a trigger editor.

A specially designed scripting language could be a good idea as long as it works similar to other programming languages. Making it something like C would also be a good idea since alot of people start learning either C++ or JAVA.

Posted on 07-09-04 06:38 AM, in Which should I download Link
Ok, umm... Chipsets are the graphics for areas. For example, the different graphics used to make a village are all part of one Chip Set in Rpg Maker. Charsets are similar, but they are the graphics for characters and some objects. Animations would probably be battle animations. And last I heard, when people talked about "Rpg Maker resources", they are talking about things in general like chipsets, charsets, music, sounds, battle animations, etc...

You can get all four of those if you're interested in having different looking characters and maps than the default ones that come with Rpg Maker, and then you just have to chose between Rpg Maker 2000 or 2003. There's not much of a difference between both of them. The most noticable difference is the battle system.

As for downloading Rpg Maker (2000 or 2003), you're not really supposed to be asking where to download it here. You should just have tried to find it on your own.

I've been going to Vanier College for a year now in Computer Science. I'll probably go to University in Computer Science as well, but I did think about going into Cinema. I still have two years to decide, so I'll see in time.

The screenshots work, but when I go to the link to download it, I just get a page with mirrors to download it from, and then when I try to click on the first mirror I get a "The page cannot be displayed" page. I tried the Alternative mirrors, but they don't have the file.

Nope, that link doesn't work either.

How big is the file? You could always try to get someone to host it on their server.

If you can't find any. You can always make some yourself. I'm sure there are some existing charsets that look similar to Inuyasha characters, and as for facesets, you just have to take pictures of the Inuyasha characters and cut out their faces to fit for facesets.

That's great ErkDog. I didn't really notice any difference at first, but now that I've read this thread I have noticed the pages rendering faster.

I searched on google, and after about 2 seconds I found a portuguese site that had a charset with Samus in it.

http://www.fantasyrpgmaker.hpg.ig.com.br - That's the site.

And just in case you can't find it:

http://www.fantasyrpgmaker.hpg.ig.com.br/charsets/CharsetGames1.png - There's the charset.

While I'm at it. I also did a search on google for "Inuyasha rpg maker charset", and the first link I clicked on had a charset of Inuyasha, and even facesets.

http://charas-project.net/forum/attachments/3466_1062533517.PNG - Here's a faceset.

http://charas-project.net/forum/attachments/3466_1062533666.PNG - Here's another face set.

http://charas-project.net/forum/attachments/3466_1062533747.png - And here's a charset.

You see, it only took me about 1 minute to find an Inuyasha charset, Inuyasha facesets and a charset with Samus in it. If you would only learn to use a search engine, you would also be able to find things alot faster then asking people for them.

Edit: Looking back, there are some Inuyasha charsets and facesets on the Portuguese website as well.

Unlike most french canadians from Quebec, my accent is sort of a mix between the american accent and the british accent. Most people don't even know I'm french when they hear me talk.

Posted on 07-26-04 12:33 PM, in Before High School... Link
To make things more simple, I'll just say what kind of person I was throughout my whole school life...

Before going to Highschool, I moved a few times and changed school alot as a consequence. In Kindergarden I went to a school in the city and I was friends with everyone. Then from 1st to 3rd grade I went to two different schools in the Pontiac Area of Quebec. Since it was a small school, I got along with everyone and I was friends with alot of people.

Then in 4th grade I went back to the same school in the city that I had gone to in kindergarden. No one remembered me though. I didn't have much friends throughout that year. The year after, the school system decided to change me to a different school because there was too much people going to my current school, but not enough to make a second class for 5th grade. 5th grade didn't start out too well. I had a few friends, but a few people picked on me. After a while though I became friends with the people who picked on me, and then I was friends with everyone for the rest of the year.

When 6th grade was about to start, the school system decided, for some odd reason, to change me back to the same school I had gone to in kindergarden and 4th grade. To my surprise, alot of people didn't even remember me, and only a year had passed since I had left that school. That year didn't go so well. I got picked on again by one person, but then once again I became sort of friends with that same person. The year finished, and I was off to Secondary school.

After that, I became a really silent person throughout all of Highschool. I had only a handful of friends, and I didn't really talk alot. I stayed friends with the same people through all of Highschool, and I didn't really get to know anybody else. However, now that I'm at College, I've sort of gone back to how I was before Highschool. I'm friends with almost everyone in the program, and I'm not as silent as I was in Highschool.

I like to keep my hair short. Sometimes I think about letting it grow, but once it gets a little bit longer it just starts to puff up and it looks extremely ugly. It would probably get better as it would get even longer, but I don't really feel like trying to let it grow for now.

It won't be too long before a translated version is released onto the internet. Which will lower even more the chance of getting anything from Enterbrain released in north america.

From what I was able to do with the Japanese Trial version, it's going to be pretty interesting to make games with RPG Maker XP.

Mario Maniac... What did that have to do with the thread?

Anyway, you should do like Surlent said and search for tutorials from RPG Maker 2000, but if you're looking for things specific to RPG Maker 2003, you could just do a search on google for "RPG Maker 2003 tutorials".

Well, those three are all good games, but I'll once again say that Final Fantasy 6 is the best one for me. I liked everything about this game when I first played it about 9 years ago, and I still like everything about it today.

I start my second year of College on August 30th. I don't really mind going back to school though because college is easy and kind of fun, and I've been on vacation since May 19th.

I start school in 10 days, and it's probably going to be alot more fun than my two last semesters. The only bad thing about my schedule is that I start everyday at 8:00AM. I was going to only start at 8:00AM three days a week, but then the college decided to add another course, which changed that to the whole week. However, I don't really mind starting early, so it's all good to me.

I don't really mind going from Rpg Maker 2003 to Rpg Maker XP. I was working on a small project on 2003 a while ago, but I will find it alot more interesting to make it on XP instead.

I tried the japanese trial of Rpg Maker XP a little, and besides the battles which seem a little weird to me with the pictures of the characters at the bottom of the screen, I like it alot more than any previous RPG Makers.

Anyway, it's great that you're going to "englishify" the full version crack ||bass, and so fast too!

I'm currently using the French Crack of Rpg Maker XP, and I don't mind waiting for ||bass' translation before I use the program in English. I'll just have to copy the things I did into a new project once ||bass finished his translation, so I don't mind waiting.
