Sure there are. Some are in crazy bitdepths. Others are compressed in one of the other schemes available on GBA; RLE and Huffman. Or any combination of the above.

Since the GBA BIOS does all the decompression work, one could watch VisualBoy Advance Devr's Edition's SWI logger for BIOS calls like, in order of thread appearance...

Nope, sorry, can't help you there.

A good starting point would be the card names, though...

Edit: Assuming they are in the same order as the card statistics, determine the name order first and use that as a base to find the stats. Say you have a Bulbasaur card with value X, an Ivysaur with value Y and a Venusaur with Z. You find several instances of X, and one of them has Y and Z nearby, equally spaced. There's your card data.

Or you could read up on the OS-tans on Wikipedia, find a paragraph regarding Troubled Windows and learn the song name from there. Then just find the song on your favorite filesharing program.
