in grade 8 i had a sleeping problem and i slept in class everyday. the teacher placed the handout sheets under my face and if there were a test she would've nudged me awake or told the person sitting next to me to wake me up.
in grade 9 i slept almost everyday in my two morning periods and would only be awake for tests
in grade 10 i slept in my morning classes but since the teachers werent as lenient with it, i had to cover my sleeping with my books, binders or just cover my eyes with my hand and look like im focusing on working (I slept with my hand holding my head up)
so far, i've dozed off a little in the past week but never really fell asleep so i was still able to write my notes and such.

i didnt pass grade 8 and got "transfered" to highschool
i failed three courses in grade 9 (two of those courses were my first period classes everyday)
and i got maybe three 50s and lots of 60s and 70s in grade 10.

dont sleep in class.

how come no one ever talks about the exotic world of caucasian food? asian stuff isn't all that great. i remember when i was little, i ate pocky a lot. but in reality, all i wanted was some ruffles. or some hershey's. but my parents never bought me that stuff. they always bought me pocky and pretz. i remember when we had family gatherings, they'd run little lotteries for us kids. the prizes were bags of ruffles. man, i used to love those lotteries because even if i didnt win, my cousins would share with me.

it's a little more than what? She asked why we cut ourselves, and I think I'm the only one who's posted in this thread that has actually cut themselves. I used a fresh box cutter blade, made a 2-3mm deep cut into my arm into a # shape (notice the # is the same thing as a tic tac toe board). I did it because I thought it was cool.

It's pretty good from the exposure I've had with it so far. A couple people on the board including me have already gotten the game, as well as MonopolyMan that most people may know. Legion has it and Jizuko and max may get it. The PvP arena is really fun and the people are generally very nice. It basically has all the aspects of MMORPGs minus camping for monsters or items. I haven't gotten far enough into the game to find out how to team with specific people for PvP though, because so far it's all random teams.

I don't understand when people say that a certain system only has a certain genre of games. While it's true some genres overshadow others, the same is true for Nintendo systems... Also, it's an exageration that XBox only has FPS or racing games... There are great RPG titles on it, generic fighting franchises, good platformers, sports games, etc..

I also don't understand why people care how many games are out for a (new) system. Mainly the DS or the PSP. A sensible person would only buy one, two, or maybe three games for a new system purchase. "I'm not gonna buy a PSP for just one puzzle game, but I am going to wait 6 months to see what else comes out, and then buy a PSP and the puzzle game." That seems to be the mood that comes from people that say they're not gonna buy something for just one or two games.

Also, you rarely ever get -any- game without some sort of recommendation from someone or something. You aren't born knowing about Mario, or even Nintendo, gasp.

Saying that Nintendo always comes out with "fresh" games that are "always fun to play" is untrue, for obvious reasons. I.E. Mario Parties 1-6 (soon 7). If you argue that each Mario Party -is- fun, then you like to waste money because there is hardly any difference between the different ones. In other words, I would not get an experience from Mario Party 6 that I wouldn't get from Mario Party 3.

"Oh, and I finally found a half-decent game for my brother and his X-Box. It's called Forza Motorsport. Too bad it's basically a copy of Gran Turismo, which in fact was a copy of a Sega Master System game." Which is also a copy of real life racing and ricing...

"You play a Gran Theft Auto game, and it gets old pretty quickly..." You play an oldschool Mario game, and all you do is jump and run, it gets old pretty quickly... durrhurr..

I'm not saying I'm anti-Nintendo, I just hate people using one-sided arguments to prove their points. And Nintendogs isn't something that hasn't been done before. It's a novelty, just like Tamagotchi was, and people are gonna say (especially the ones with real dogs), after it hits them: damn, I wasted 30 dollars to take care of a virtual dog. Maybe, I wouldn't know, I can't predict the future.

you guys are stupid. if the DS didnt have an a/v output thing how do you think people who review these games make gameplay videos. and before you saying they have a special DS to do it, no they dont.

Q: In each review of a PSP game, when the game clips are being shown, we can always see the fingers of you guys playing, while the DS, as I understand, can be connected to the CPU and the video can be direct...ermm...well, I hope you understood what I mean. Doesn't the PSP have that feature and do you think it ever will?

Alexander Nichiporchik
A corn field in Latvia

A: As of right now, there's no way for us to get direct-feed footage of PSP games, as the system itself has no "video out" function. The DS doesn't either, but we have a magical device, made by the gods themselves, that lets us get video from DS games. Right now, no such device is available to us for the PSP. Believe me when I say that there's little more we'd like right now than to have a solution to this, so don't worry, we're going to keep on it. Thanks for writing, and it's good to know they have DSL hookups in Latvian cornfields now. The next time someone tries to tell me broadband penetration is relatively small, I'll be sure to let them know about you and your cornfield hookup. -- A.N.

Same device that allows a person to play with the DS and not have the stylus or person's hand blocking the view of the touch screen when making the videos. adurr

yah, thats probably why there are videos of people holding a DS, playing with said ds and having the contents of that ds show on a seperate screen. makes it look like something that connects to that ds to me! doesnt matter if its a completely seperate device thats 10x10 feet, it still makes the DS output video (the DS, not the device). the gameboy player is different, ie you plug the game into the player and you use your gamecube to play the games (if thats what youre talking about).
