| Actually, that won't work... (And duh, probably not PHP. I was tired when I wrote that) IBDynamic Lite doesn't support HTML in the navigation link-- just a URL and a name for the link. What I need would work like this: 1. Person clicks link. 2. The redirecting page opens in the same window. 3. The redriecting page opens the real page in a new window 4. The window that had the redirecting page in it changes its page back to the main page of my site. It needs to be automatic. |

| I fixed it a few days ago. Those .COM files were officially dummy files that did nothing. I had to go into safe mode and turn on system file viewing to delete them. Rescanned and got nothing. | |||

| I got a new computer two weeks ago, and I have a few questions: 1. The computer came with Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, but MSInfo says I'm running Windows XP Professional. My Help and Support Center also says it's XP Pro. Does MCE 2005 include the functionality of XP Pro, or is it just a big mistake? 2. Both DxDiag and the System window say my computer has 896 MB of RAM, while MSInfo and the sticker on the front of the computer say I have 1 GB. Why is it saying that I only have 896? 3. Randomly, my screen will go totally white, or white with vertical yellow stripes, and nothing happens when I press anything or click the mouse. I have to turn the computer off. I'm assuming it's a graphical problem, but I don't know how the drivers could be outdated already... The card is an ATI Radeon Xpress 200. Anyone know what is wrong or where I might be able to find log files that explain this? |

| I'm not made of money. I got this for my birthday, where the computer had to cost $700 or less. (I was lucky to get that computer-- it was on sale from $1000 to $700) I put in all my money on that to help buy it. I have no money to buy some big expensive card. | |||

| My friend recently showed me a very old laptop of his that he says stopped working. It IS very old (Pentium 200 MMX, I think, with 32 MB RAM) but he can't afford to buy a new one yet. I booted it up and it told me "Hard drive not found. If no operating system found, press F1 to resume." or something like that. The hard drive, in fact, is in the HD slot on the side of the laptop. It then dumps us to a black screen saying something about an error in a controller (might have been PCI, but I can't remember) and that an IRQ was not configured. He called tech support and they said he had to "reinstall the hard drive". What would be done to do that? | |||

| My MIDI sounds horrible. Some of my friends said to get the Yamaha SoftSynthesizer. I downloaded it, installed it, but it doesn't work. Running the preinstalled player and selecting the SoftSynth gives me a "Undefined Error". Using Windows Media Player with SoftSynth selected in the Sound control panel, I get no sound from the MIDI at all. I'm not sure what's wrong with it. The help files say to check all connections if there's no sound. Well, I did, and MIDI still works with the built in XP MIDI (which I hate)... and I've Googled for around an hour with no results. If anyone knows how to fix this, or knows of a better software synthesizer that actually WORKS, let me know. I'm running Windows XP Media Center 2005, 1 GB RAM, Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2 Ghz, with some onboard Realtek sound card. |

| Actually, it's Windows 2000, though CNN says it might be able to affect certain versions of XP. What it does is shuts down the computer-- that's all I know. If your antivirus isn't working, turn off your internet connection. | |||

| Hey, I just turned on my computer and my CD-RW drive and DVD drive have switched letters. I find this rather annoying as now my top drive is E: and my bottom one D:. Are there any programs or tweaks that can fix this? | |||

| My friend gave me Mandriva Linux Limited Edition 2005 a while ago, and I tried to install it on my computer. It didn't work. Here's what I posted at Mandriva Expert: " I started a normal graphical install of Limited Edition 2005. I chose the language as "English" and agreed to the agreement. It starts hardware detection, and it shows the following message for about 10 minutes: "Installing driver for hard drive controller ATI Technologies Inc|ATI 4379 Serial ATA Controller" After about 10 minutes, it gives me an error: "insmod'ing module sata_sil failed at / usr/bin/perl-install/modules.pm line 324" I clicked OK and got another message: "An error occured-- no valid devices were found on which to create new filesystems. Please check your hardware for the cause of this problem" Clicking OK causes an endless loop of this problem. I'm assuming this means that my SATA controller isn't supported, but I'm hoping there's a fix. Here's my computer's configuration: HP Pavilion a1130n AMD Athlon 64 3500 2.2 Ghz 1 GB PC3200 DDR SDRAM 250 GB 7200RPM ATA Hard Drive (there is an 8GB unpartitioned space for linux, the rest is Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005) HP Lightscribe DVD - RW Writer DVD-ROM Drive (DVD is in here, it wouldn't work on the other) NOTE: I don't have a floppy drive, so I can't use ANY fixes needing a floppy. I DO have a USB Key drive, so that could be used. Radeon Xpress 200 128MB video card (it's integrated) Realtek AC97 Sound" Posting that at another board, the people said to try other distros, like Fedora Core 4. It has the same problem, where it says 'Loading sata_sil driver...' then says 'Disabling IRQ 10' and gets stuck. I'm starting to believe my funny SATA controller doesn't want to work with Linux. Anyone know of a distro that supports the ATI 4379 Serial ATA Controller? Apparently, this one is stuck together with the motherboard and video card... I should never have bought such a cheap computer with integrated graphics...  I've also tried booting into expert mode, as some have suggested, and it doesn't help. Anyone know of a fix or a distro that works with this? |

| I had this friend of mine who registered at my website. He was always nice, but he's started to go bad. It started a week ago, where he threated to tell my parents that I have pr0n on my computer (which I don't, in fact) and that my ROM collection was illegal. He said he wouldn't if I made him an Admin on my forum. So I did for my own good. He went around and began editing peoples posts and accounts and set his post count to almost 1000. The other Admins and Mods decided we should rebel against him. So we set up a fake Admin group and blocked his access. Now, he says that if I don't re-admin him, he will call my parents and spill the "beans" (which are mostly fake) He also wants 20 dollars... or else. What do I do? My existance is at stake! |

| I guess my parents HAVE seen me use the ROMs for the last 7 years or so. They never saw trouble with emulators. Also, I never said he was a friend, I said "friend" or so-called friend. Just clearing stuff up. He got on YIM and apologized, but I am unsure I wanna believe him. He simply SAID it, and that isn't enough evidence to me. Of course, it could just be he wants out now, since I was talking to another friend (a REAL friend) about it and he said later that he went and beat the idiot up. He's agreed to not blackmail me as long as I don't mention my website to him again. His new excuse for wanting Admin position was so he could be on equal terms with the second Admin, whom he hates immensely. He had planned to IP ban that Admin because of his burning hate of him. The real Admin went ahead and IP banned him, since he wants nothing to do with my site any more. Now the trouble is that I can't get him to go away; he's trying to act as if it never happened. But this guy's always been trouble making, and I've really seen now that he's from the wrong crowd. I want him out of my life, but he keeps following me. I've been warily checking my email and I haven't seen any newsletters appearing in my Inbox or Spam. So I think he meant it. Either way, I'm going to be keeping a close lookout.
