| A kick ass series and definitely Quintin's best. It's a shame that Miramax (and NOT Quentin like so many people think) cut the movie into two parts. I could have easily watched the full thing in the theater and not gotten tired. The first one was better. More action and less talking. Some parts in 2 seemed to drag on. The best part about 2 was Pai Mai hands down. The actor did a pretty good portrayal of the real guy. (Ever seen his old movies? Kick ass.) And of course the soundtracks kick ass. It's a Quentin Tarentino movie for crying out loud. He's never made a soundtrack that hasn't kicked 100% ass. On one side note about the first volume, I noticed that they used many old school sounds that are in some old kung-fu movies. I thought that was a nice touch. Oh, and as for Buddy? That's Michael Madsen who just so happened to play the best Resevoir Dog, Mr. Blonde. I just thought I'd throw that in there. And how could you guys NOT know that was censored? When the scene turned b&w, it should have been obvious. |

| Well I found something interesting on a sheer fluke. I was looking up some weird things and I came across The Handsome Family's web site. Had no idea what it was so I decided to check it out. Turns out it's a guy and this one chick. They had a unique set-up and it looked very interesting. After reading some reviews and what have you, I decided to give them a listen because it sounded as if they were good and different. So I downloaded this one song called "Far From Any Road". Wow, this song is eerily great. I'm on my way now to download a bunch of stuff from them. I suggest you all give it a try. Here's the song I was talking about. It's ok to link it because it's off their record labels homepage. You'll need Real Player to listen to it. It's great stuff. |

Now if you read that, you might be swayed to think that Idaho doesn't exist just because some site throws out a bunch of "facts" and what have you. But I've personally been to Idaho so I know it exists. People will believe anything they read as long as it sounds remotely true. The moon exists. How do we know that? I'm almost sure that this site was made to proove a point. That point being that with the proper words, you can make almost ANYTHING believable to stupid heads. (For lack of a better word.) |
This kind of goes along with the DHMO thing. People will read something and believe it without actually thinking or analyzing what they just read. And if this wasn't their point, then I don't know what is. EDIT: 2 plus 2 equals 4 damn it. Some should know what I'm talking about. Referring to an old thread.
