So far I've got:

To be there:
witeasprinwow
Jack-Al
Colleen
Toxic
Ziff

Can't make it:
Legion
Valcion

Seemingly has the game but hasn't said if they can make it or not:
Reid
Havoks
Cymoro

I suppose 2v2 is a fair, although I'd always love to have more.

In light of Ziff and Valcion not being able to make it due to time restraints, I'm gonna push the time back to 10:30 Eastern Standard Time (-05:00 GMT). That way we can get some 3v3 action in.

Could I get an admin to edit the thread title to something like

"Play with us! (Brood Wars, 10:30 PM EST, 3/17)"

to reflect the changes?

For reference:

Between 0 and 2.5 in any direction is rather moderate.
Between 2.5 and 5 in any direction is noticably leaning towards that side.
Between 5 and 7.5 in any direction is definately towards that side.
Between 7.5 and 10 means you probably need to be locked up in a nice white room.

Obviously, it goes in shades of grey. A rating of 2.50001 is going to show a lot of moderateness, while a 4.999999 will not.

At 15 years old, that can be both a blessing and a curse.

You'll come around to thinking about sex at some point, but it shouldn't rule your life by any means. Bravo.

The only time I would say that you should worry about this is if you're married but really really don't want to have sex with your wife. That's a long ways down the road for you (and me, for that matter), so I wouldn't worry yet.

1. Get anything better than 56k
2. Fin

Your connect will almost never run at it's full capacity. If you get a 56k, unless whatever you're trying to connect to is right next to your house, you can usually expect somewhere around a 40k connect. Same applies to 28k, cable, T3, and just about every other connection.

I enjoy eating food that is some semblance of healthy.

That being said, I don't eat outside of my house/school much.

I've got a Squire Showmaster (Nice black Floyd Rose-d guitar) and a Peavy Bandit 112 amp (Pretty high, mabye two feet by two feet, so long as you're not doing a show or audition that's all you need).

I've been playing on and off for two years. I'm starting to learn to play fast, but I still have a long way to go before I catch up to any of the great shredders

In no particular order:

Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Iced Earth (Even though I don't own any of thier CD's ), A Perfect Circle, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Symphony X, Stemage's Metroid Metal

I listen to a shitload of other bands, but those are the ones I think rock the hardest or sound the best overall.

End-all-be-all of the button mashing debate:

Yes, in almost every game a button masher can achieve some level of success. However, in almost every game, a person who has control and uses the proper moves in the proper situations will almost always prevail over the button masher.

Metallia - Metal Militia

Any song about taking over the world with heavy metal is fine by me.

It's from Metallica's Kill 'Em All album, which goes back to thier thrash days. There's not much to say about it musically except that it's thrash. Very aggressive for the time, both in the instruments and the lyrics. Metallica makes use of more sound effects at the end of the song by splicing a track of thunder and a track of troops fighting as the guitar fades away. Very impressive solo, not by Kirk Hammet, who wasn't even in Metallica for thier first album, but instead by Dave Mustaine. They later kicked Mustaine out of Metallica for always being drunk or high when they needed him to play. When Mustaine is fired halfway through the recording of Metallica's Ride the Lightning album, he goes on to create the band Megadeath. Both bands go on to metal fame and glory. More of Mustaine's guitar work can be found in the songs Ride the Lightning and The Call of Ktulu.

Glee. If that was you, Phil, then thanks for the sticky.

We've got six players, so it looks like 3v3, which should give us a nice map selection.

Next Wednesday at 10:30 P.M. - Nobody go forgetting about it on us

EDIT: Ah, Ultimantium just joined. Bah, gotta scrap up an 8th player real quick

All I was trying to say is that arguing about what game is more masher-friendly is pointless, because in almost every game the masher will get beat by any player who knows what he's doing.

I would like to present a formula to you.

y = 3x^H + 3300

Where Y is the amount of cynicism I have, X is how many days Lost Threads has been open, and H is the current number of posts in Lost Threads.

I guarantee you lots of research went into this formula and that anyone who disputes it is a dirty liar and should most certainly be killed

In today's world almost nobody knows the difference between "rock" and "metal", or even "band" and "artist" for that matter. I wouldn't take the restraints too literally

I have it for the PC. It's pretty good.

The only reason you would want to play it for the PS is to be able to use the PS2 controller, which fits the game absolutely perfectly. However, for only ten dollars plus shipping and handling, you can order a USB adapater to hook it up to your computer, and it'll also work if your NES is getting old and you want to play ROMs on your computer.

I'd say go with the PC version.

If you buy it, let me know. I'll hook you up with a worldpass. I usually play with a group from the Penny Arcade message board, but since I just recently moved to thier server and haven't been playing much, I'm still pretty low level.
