What do you consider to be the best movie ever?

Happiness of the Katakiris.

The Katakiri family own a bed and breakfast. Everyone who stays there dies. They bury the bodies. There are musical numbers. There is random claymation. Best. Movie Ever.

It may not be the best movie ever, but it's easily one of my favorites of all time.

Shaun of the Dead.

I love zombie movies, and British Comedy is always good, but that's not fully it. The second time around, I actually looked closer, and saw how well written and how good the plot was. There really is a lot to offer underneath the rotting flesh.

That is a great movie. I saw it maybe a year ago and I probably would place it among my most favorite movies of all time.

For me, the best movie ever is "L

Yes.

Also, 2001: a space odyssey. A little slow, admitedly, it took me several attempts at viewing to get all the way through with it (kept falling asleep early on ), but it is great.

Oh, forgot about Apocalypse Now, also a favorite.

As far as Stanley Kubrick films go, A Clockwork Orange was a blast (and it doesn't have the rather questionable ending that the revised edition of the book has.) 2001 was... well a little boring most of the time, and very exciting some of the time.
