It was Dig Dug and Donkey Kong (which my little brian could only acknowledge it as Don King Kong). It was on a TI whatever. You know, those keyboard w/ cartridge slot type generic systems.

While I must agree with DS here, he's bumping threads that people can still post in, these are actually interesting general topics.

For content's sake, The very first game I ever played was Duck Hunt. Yes, duck hunt at my cousin's house. That was probably the absolute worst day of my life, as it started me down the path to the life I live right now, but at the same time, it was just so damn fun! Cause the dog! He'd laugh at me, but I couldn't shoot him, so I just shot the ducks instead to make sure he didn't laugh! And I got pretty good at it too, considering I was like, 4 or something. Hey, for those of you who played Duck Hunt, did you ever just hold the gun up to the screen and cheat like that? Man, that's cheap but it's fun.

Ah, I miss the old days....

I started gaming when I was 5, thats 9 years ago, 1995, so it would have been, SMW, then SM64. I started with a nice solid foundation of Mario.

You know something? I don't even know anymore. I've been playing video games since I was 4 - that's 12 years, so I have no clue.

On whole it seems that people were about four. I remember playing Ice Hockey when i was 5 and losing to a 2 year old. That's right! that kid was literally still in diapers and he still whooped my ass. To this day i still suck at Ice Hockey.

moral of this story: Ice Hockey is best left to the professionals

Super Mario Brothers (NES). I visited my friend every day and we played it. The first game I ever played that I owned was... Super Mario Brothers (SNES), 6 or 7 years later when I bought a SNES and SMAS. Accually, until I played to the first mushroom in 1-1, I had no idea that it was the same game. Probably because I never leaned the name of the game since my friend and I could barely speak to each other, due to his terrible accent.

The first game I ever played was SMW for the SNES.

I got the game included with the SNES system for Christmas when I was in the fourth grade (that was in 1992).

The game itself was great (that is, until I realized that I was unable to save data on it anymore) until I got the GBA version a couple of years ago.

Of course, other games (many of the Sonic and Zelda games, MMAC, some of the Kirby games, etc) I own I now find better than SMW.

Still, the first game usually is a great one.
