My OS history probably goes something like this:

B/W Mac -> color Mac -> DOS -> Win3.1 -> Win95 -> Win98SE -> Win2K

Technically, the first computer I worked with was probably the Apple IIc in elementary school, but it didn't really have an OS per se. I believe I was introduced to Macs in middle school, and my first home computer only had DOS. Win3.1 came along shortly afterwards, but I hardly ever used it for the longest time...DOS just felt so much more comfortable. I still miss the true "exit to DOS" option.

The first one I had was MacOS 7.0.1 in 1992, but I've seen MacOS 6 a year earlier ... both before Windows 3.1 too. That's the oldest I remember, but I'm pretty sure I've seen DOS or something similar at least once before that ...

Since then, I've seen Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, a little bit of Unix (Solaris, Linux) and a smaller little bit of the newer MacOS'es (8, 9 and X)

I had it on my old Macintosh (in color), I have it here in the emulator too

But my copy was slightly modified, I messed around with pretty much everything in ResEdit back then (even sometimes changed hex values in the code, a lot like ROM hacking but years earlier) But all I did to this one was translating to French and changing the background color ...
I've beaten it once (got all 60 eggs), I've also had fun getting the snake to grow as much as possible, I think my best was around 1400

Another old game I had and liked was Spaceward Ho (1.2, I more recently downloaded 3.0 to play in the emulator), I still have the original copy but did mess around with it a lot too

It's amazing to see how the Mac GUI has not seemingly changed a lot (1985 to 2005) when compared to Windows in the same period, and I think I was lucky to grow up with an opportunity to watch both Mac OS and Windows change.
Windows's look really hasn't changed that much between 95 and XP, at least if you use the classic look ... while MacOS looked pretty much the same from 1 to 7, then evolved a bit more, but I haven't seen 8 and newer enough to really know

The Apple IIe was my first. Then I think it was windows 95. Then to 98 and now to XP. I have seen ME and such but I never really wanted to mess with it. I never have really seen why Mac is worth the money, so I stayed away from it.

My 0S/GUI was Macintosh System Software 6.0.8 back in '93. I used to be big on Macintoshes, but now it's Windows and Linux.
