For some reason, every time I go o a page recently, I have to reload it, because it says it can't be found. I'm having trouble making posts too...

Go into the Internet Options and set the refresh setting to "auto". If this does not help, search for spy- or adware you got from IE or applications you installed. Get Spybot Search & Destroy, update and run it, reboot and try it again then. (edited by Gandalf The Grey on 03-26-04 06:15 PM) |

or just click the link again / refresh until it works. it happens to me (in mozilla) too, so I'm guessing it's a problem on the server somewhere. usually, it works the second time.

Usually times out for me on big threads or big poll threads, but yeah it's usually just temporally and will work later.

Hmm, that hasn't happened to me yet ... whether it was something wrong with your computer or the server, it's not something I can fix Are you sure it's really a "Page not found" error, or just something else? |

Obviously, if it's happening to more than one of us, it's less likely to be a client problem. It only happens to me, when I use the back button in Firefox. If I click on links, it's fine.

Originally posted by ErkDogJesus, stop overcompensating. It's perfectly clear that this could also be a problem in the BOARD CODE, which is neither your server's software nor his computer. BMF made a thread about this in the private forum, so it really sounds like something we changed in the source code between 1.91 (old board) and 1.92 (here) is causing it. We'll have to wait until Acmlm looks. |

well... none of the users of my forum, which has been here 3 months have had any problems like this when you spread out the users of a forum over 200 people instead of about 50 then and take into consideration the percentage and wide variety of complex issues affecting things like this i'ts obviously more than 1 person is going to have some sort of problem the end result may be trouble posting but I guarantee you that in almost every case the symptons / underlying causes are different Jesper..... I seriously doubt Acmlm has changed anything in the code that would have caused problems to suddenly crop up.... people had problems like this on a semi regular basis on the old board too... again attributed to the much larger user base, and likely hood of computer / internet problems..... If Acmlm HAD Changed something that was actually causing these problems then why have I had no problems ? why have you had no problems ? why has Acmlm had no problems ? etc.... etc.... etc.... |

Well, it's strange that it only happens on this board, and no other boards. |
