And it owns. Majorly. If you haven't tried BeOS, do it.

Anyway... it has the smootest audio and video I've ever seen. And a strang way to draw window titles.

Nifty. I've always wanted to try BeOS - they say the file system in particular was way ahead of its time.

It's about par with ext2, but the BeOS File System (the new one, even) came out before ext2. It was thinking ahead when it came out. Things like ReiserFS and NTFS have since surpased it (though normally WinNT doesn't let you do things the NTFS filesystem allows. If you install Services for UNIX, NTFS will act more like a *nix filesyste (true case sensitivity, hard links, using characters like * and ? in filenames)).

And lolipops are banned in my state.

Well, so NTFS cabilities hadn't been used to it's fullest you say?

Althought, which was the best filesystem around now? Wasn't it ReiserFS?

THANK YOU, CAPTAIN OBVIOUS

BeOS isn't something I'd want to try; I'll just stick with works-with-almost-everything Windows because I don't exactly have a spare computer to destroy

Best sarcastic reply ever. Except you put a comma in, wtf?

BeOS could be pretty cool if people kept working on it... And put in standard titlebars like Windows has.

I am gonna try BeOS in VmWare, if VMware supports that OS. You can get non-supporting OS's to work in VMware thought, I have.

And there is a few floppy OS's you can try, there is a ASM programmed OS that is run on a floppy. Very nice but I forgot the name of it...

I've tried BeOS in both VMware and Qemu. It can't boot in either of them. Actually, Qemu gets it farther than VMware before it errors out. I've heard that VirtualPC can be used with it, but I don't have that to verify it.

HyperHacker: It does have the titlebars like Windows, but they're not standard in anything but Windows. http://mike.warpedbelief.com/images/beos-win.png
You have to hold down the left Ctrl-Alt-Shift while clicking the menu to change it.
