| Here You Go. This month's theme- Metroid! If for some reason you're not a Metroid fan, or just can't be arsed to track down which of the 23 songs (!) is mine, I'll be nice and tell you that it's "Bass One" (IE the first one). Feedback would be nice, though it's not necessary. What is Dwelling of Duels? If you've forgotten, it's a monthly competition at The Shizz where people (Including yours truly) cover video game songs based on a theme. This is the first one I personally entered since September. By the way, you all have to get the first Joke Entry (SPACE PIRATES). Disco is back, baby! |

| Dude nice, brings back memories of Metroid Metal. The first ones very nice Empteye, an awesome theme to mix.  [Off topic some: Kraids theme is just the greatest. Hopefully we'll see a remixed version in the next Metroid game.] Emptyeye: Make them do Blaster Master sometime, and I will LOVE YOU!!! Edit: Not sucking up. But I do personally like your Kraid theme the most out of the others there. Edit: The Ice Beam Cometh = A W E S O M E ! = D Edit: Ah, but Crystal Flash takes the ultimate cake. | It's funny, regarding mine, someone else also said "Well, you definitely picked the best song to do with that style", as if I had sat around for days debating what Metroid song would sound best with multiple basses. I agree it came out nice, but it was more a case of picking Kraid's Theme because I liked it the most and using the basses because I'm primarily a bass player, rather than saying "I think I'll do a song with multiple basses, now let's see which Metroid tune this works the best with..." By the way, did you catch the cross-game reference? It has nothing to do with Metroid, I'll tell you that... But yeah, this was a huge month...I eventually have to vote on these (It's supposed to be an anonymous competition, but I'm pretty sure no one else here actually meets the criteria to be able to vote [Either being a competitor or having 50+ posts on The Shizz], so no big deal), and of the 21 songs (Two are joke entries, and we just discovered one was previously released and so can't be voted on) that are able to be voted on, I have 8 that are potentially getting points. Crystal Flash and The Final Act (Interestingly, I've done enough of these competitions that I think I know who did both despite the anonymity clause) are the only two definites right now; I'll have to listen to the rest one more time to get a final order in place. As far as Blaster Master goes, your best chance is probably every three months or so, where we get Free Months to do pretty much whatever we want (I love the music as much as anyone, but as there was only one really popular game in the series, I'm not sure it'll ever become a theme by itself). Maybe it'll somehow be worked in in the months before those (The way it works is one month is based on a game or series, the next is a random theme of sorts [Military Games was August '04s], the third is a free month, and the pattern repeats). |

| Interesting, I've never heard about this place but it really does seem worth keeping up with. Well I guess inform us(me) if any Blaster Master mixes do infact come up. I guess.  It's quite obvious there's a lot of musician's that are fans of the Metroid universe. We've got these awesome mixes, Metroid Metal with Grant alone (Incredible, he's a freaking one man band), and Relics of Chozo. The more the merrier. | It would be pretty funny if Crystal Flash was done by Grant[Metroid Metal]. I'm not so sure about that though, the style seems a little different.
