Office Space
After recent flood of quotes by me from this excellent movie, I thought that why not just make a thread to see how many people actually have seen it.
I think this is an excellent movie, it depicts working in a cubicle day in and day out really funny. I'd probably rate it 4/5 or even 5/5. My favorite characters are;
Milton, "I ... I .. I could just burn .. down the building".
Lumbergh, "Yeah. Uh, did you get that memo?"
Peter, "So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

And of course, the two Bobs; *takes from IMDB*
Bob Slydell: Well just a second there, professor. We uh, we fixed the *glitch*. So he won't be receiving a paycheck anymore, so it will just work itself out naturally.
Bob Porter: We always like to avoid confrontation, whenever possible. Problem solved from your end.

Ah, this movie is so classic. Anyone else seen it?

Without a doubt, this is probably one of my favorite movies of all time.

That is saying a lot, because I like LOTS and lots of movies. But no matter what, I can always quote Office Space in some hilarious fashion.

I love this movie, partially because I am a frustrated office worker. My job could be a lot worse, but I'm significantly underpaid and sick of busting my ass with nothing to show for it but more work to do and a $1/hour raise that took effect after the end of that godforsaken year. To make matters even more fun, the company is getting more organized because we want to pull in bigger customers and evidently they need to be confident in our abilities or something. For some unknown reason, in my group, that entails keeping logs of exactly what we did and how many hours we spent on each individual thing. Now, keeping track of hours per project makes sense because it's important for billing. Making a list of what you got done or worked on is fine as well because it lets management see what you're up to. What I'm talking about is "Fixed the map page - 1 hr. Worked on the admin panel - 2.5 hr." and so on and so forth. It's complete micromanagement horseshit. How does this relate to the thread? My office mate called the one he made last week a Time-Productivity Summary Report...and the person we have to send them to liked the joke. Somehow, I don't think the format of these things was his idea.

Jiz, your family will be visited with SHAME for you leaving out the best line about him and his thoughts on his namesake:

"Why should I change? He's the one who sucks."

My girlfriend HATEHATEHATES it when she's covering the phones (we work in the same office... hooray nepotism!) and I start saying "Thank you for calling Initech. JUST a moment!"

Those cockgobblers. :>

Oh yes, the soundtrack is half-excellent. Even Kool Keith and Ice Cube. =D

The beginning of this movie is much funnier than the end. But the whole thing is good overall, and the ending feels right.

"Can you ... give ... me my stapler ... back ........ please."

"Ummmmmm, yeeah, I'm going to have to have you come in a little early ... yeeeah."

"Ummmmm, yeah, it's Me again, maybe you just forgot ... but we're starting at 9 today, it would be good to have you come in, yeaah."

Meh, I couldn't really think of any other good quotes at the moment, but this movie does indeed rock.

Don't want to be a fanboy bitch or anything, but I'd say Spaceballs is a ~little~ better.

Still though, I'd give this movie a 4.5/5, easily one of my all time favorite comedies.

I forgot to mention that one of the managers at work actually has a red Swingline stapler. His wife got it for him because he likes the movie. We've been sending our TPS reports by email, but we might start printing them out just so we'll have an excuse to use that stapler on them. This particular manager would be amused.

I'm glad there's (hopefully) no sequel in the works.

That would really just take away from the first one, because let's be blunt. There is no way anyone ever from now until doomsday, that could come close to the geinus that is Office Space.
